We had a wonderful evening at Kokkeriet, lovely inventive menu, perfect atmosphere, and great wine!

Arrived to the restaurant where we were greeted by the staff, and shown to our table. Drinks were ordered an quickly served. Appetizer were served while we were given the menu. We ordered the tasting menu accompanied by wine. The food and wine were served with a good pace, which slowed down towards the deserts but without being annoyingly late. The food and wine was amazing. The staff was kind and helpful and made for a really nice atmosphere. We dined for 3 hours which felt like 90 minutes, tops. Time flew away and we left feeling glad and very pleased with the experience.

A perfect mix of exiting and beautiful dishes and at the same time realy good food. The Wine menu was also perfect - fresh to fit the time of gear. We Can not recommend this enough.

Sadly, I have to review this place as the worst fine dining experience I have ever had.
I was out having dinner with my friends, a tradition we uphold every year, where we spend a little extra money and expect to enjoy top-class service and food.
That, however, was not the case at Kokkeriet.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by a waiter who clearly had no idea what he was doing. His English was barely comprehensible, making communication very difficult.
Another waiter intervened and seated us.

By this time, it was obvious to us that the staff was not up to the standard one would expect at a Michelin-star restaurant.
The presentation of the food and wine was very simplistic and clearly something that had been merely memorized. When we asked questions about the food or wine, the waitstaff seemed out of their depth.

We quickly received the first three snacks, after which we ordered the full menu with wine pairing.

After the snacks, some lovely warm crunchy bread was served.

We received the first (small) glass of white wine, and then we had to wait 35 minutes before the food that was paired with said wine arrived.
The same thing happened with the next dish: wine was poured, and then 30 minutes elapsed before we got the food.
Waiting this long ruins the experience of having food with a wine pairing.

We asked for more bread, and the waiter happily delivered.
Unfortunately, it was clearly the same type of bread as before, but now it was cold and stale, and clearly not fresh.
I raised the issue with one of the waiters, whose answer was, "yes, because... ehh... different flour..." and then he left.

By this time, the third glass of wine had been served.

Over an hour passed before they served a dish they introduced with the words: "So, this dish comes without a wine pairing...."
So, they had forgotten to serve us the third dish that we were waiting for. That should never happen at this level. We were frankly in shock.
But the worst part was the reaction of the staff. The only response we got was, "Oh, we must have missed that." No apology, no nothing.
The dish was served right after, but when you get a tasting menu, the order of the food is very important.

In general, the food was fine, but not something we will remember.
One of the dishes was venison, which seemed as if it had been left in the sous vide for far too long. It felt gritty and had no texture at all, resulting in a really poor mouthfeel.
None of the wines were top-notch, and some of the pairings were really strange. But that's subjective, I guess.

The overall service provided by the staff was lacking. At one point, we had to point out to the waiter that she had put two different kinds of wine glasses on the table.
Whenever we went to the bathroom, the waiters were quick to replace the napkin - a fine touch, but they placed the new one on top of breadcrumbs.
It was only after the last dessert that they came around with the breadcrumb scraper and cleaned. And that was when we were leaving, when it did not matter.
It felt like the staff was not properly educated, and didn't have the professional pride that you would expect at a fine dining restaurant.

So, all in all, a very disappointing experience.

This is the first michelin restaurant my boyfriend and I have tried and there was amazing service with great and friendly waiters. The surrounding was relaxed and perfect for a date night. The food looked beautiful as well as it tasted delicious. I’m a chef student myself and I got plenty of inspiration (both flavors and plating) and we had an amazing experience that we would recommend.

A sublime experience. Fantastic and surprising food. The most friendly and professional service. We’ll be back!

Thank you for a terrific evening. "Taste the stars incl . Wine menu ” ( spot deal).
My two guests, who made their debut at a Michelin restaurant, and myself, who have more Michelin experience, including a visit to you a year ago .
From the moment we entered the restaurant until we left 4 1/2 hours later, we felt very welcome. Unrivaled dining experiences with magnificent, exciting and customized wines and service throughout - we each had our perceptions but agreement.
Each and every serving of both food and wines was introduced very elegantly by the various waiters we had the pleasure of. Clear feeling that it was a pleasure not a duty for them to introduce the servings with pride and great knowledge – not just rote learning. Very professional and together both sides – the waiters and the three of us – had a not only professional but very friendly and humorous dialogue. Just my spirit and that of my guests. (Hope the waiters as well).
And I noted the joy and cooperation between the waiters. Clearly seemed like a close-knit team following the motto "one for all, all for one - let's all enjoy the evening.".
And the food was really exciting, delicate and arranged differently on "fancy plates". (Would very much like to be observant in the kitchen .)
If I will come again? So absolutely yes and with great expectations. So continue the extremely high quality level both in the restaurant and in the kitchen.
Absolute value for money. One total experience .

We visited Kokkeriet this week to celebrate our 25 years anniversary. We had an outstanding evening! We had the menu and the food and wine matched perfectly. Thanks to the staff for this wonderful evening at your place 😊Please keep on doing what you already do - it was amazing!

Not recommended if you have a food allergy. They claim on their website that they can accommodate many types of allergies, but they got me ill with my intolerance, causing me to throw up multiple times and be nauseous for a couple days.

It was one of the best experience I have had. food-wine pairings were so well. The entire team well knowledged and nice. This is definitely something more than food. Once you go there, you will see what I mean. Sensuous, luscious... Thank you

Exceptional experience of food and parried wines. We enjoyed every minute of the 4 1/2 hours visit. Not at least because of a very professional, most knowledgeable and extremely servant staffs. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I had a wonderful night in Kokkeriet. Food is fantastic and full of surprise, the waiter is excellent and extremely knowledgable in food and wine. Service is first class and we all have a memorable night there!

We were 5 pax celebrating a birthday between Xmas and New Year. As recurring guests, we have high expectations of flawless execution of the dinner. This time we would have awarded 4.5 stars for the food and wine, as certainly better than good (4 stars). The experience overall was lifted by the superb service of staff (5 stars value) in particular to our 'Romanian' head waiter and we will for sure return in 2022.

Placed in the old neighbourhood Nyboder established by King Christian IV in 1631 – you will find Kokkeriet. From we entered the atmosphere and staff will welcome you like a royal.

The restaurant has several rooms in the vintage old style. We got a round table in the back – excellent for 3 persons.

We got the New Year’s Eve menu – 18 dishes + Danish caviar with a wine menu.

What an experience – it was a perfect travel form small sexy starters, presented each time with pride and enthusiasm, over fish to meat and dessert.

The raw materials were locally picked for the occasion with small specialities – and then in came the Sauce Chef to top the dish with the sauce. Gently adding the final great taste while explaining about the dish.

If you are a wine connoisseur another great reason to visit Kokkeriet – each time a perfect – sometime teasing – match. And they know their wine. Ask them and you will get inspired.

A great team of food and service lovers all dedicated to give you a fantastic evening.

A wonderful experience dining at Kokkeriet with my wife. The food was sensational, well thought out menu with incredible staff, super friendly and welcoming. Overall, we had a fabulous night. Thank you
