Get Kora discount any day and pay when it suits
You don't need to wait for the fuel company to send a message about their special discount day, as you can get 10 cents per litre discount every day with the Kora card!
Also, they seem to be very nice to deal with. For example, my Kora invoice was coming due on the 10th of the month, and my pay was always around the 15th, so they happily changed the invoice due date to later in the month!

The refuelling process is too complicated
It’s great to have the option of a 10-cent discount. However, there should be a way to link the card to the Waitomo app. That way, I can fill up from my mobile phone without having to take the card out and go through the whole payment process at the pump. It’s too complicated.

Hi there - so we are not Waitomo :) That is why you cannot link a Kora card to the Waitomo app. We are completely different companies and we also offer different programmes for us to save you money on fuel. We are a fuel card - where you use the card, it sends us the transaction, we apply the discount and you have fuel on account - easy! Waitomo has an app where you can pay for your fuel in the app and get a spin to win at the end. So hopefully it is clearer for you now that we are very different saving propositions. I like the convenience of having the fuel cards. I can work out my fuel consumption and make more budget related decisions when it comes to fueling my cars. The discount also helps. I also do comparisons on fuel prices to help save money.

The company is doing well
The company is doing well, but the service we received at the store that we used at the time, was absolutely disgusting, she abused us because we were asking her about the 10% discount we get with a Kora card, and the attendant at the time was telling us to listen to her, and that only the Mobile smart card gives a discount not the Kora card, she said. Now look here, you listen to me, and explained her knowledge of what she knew, then I said now you also look here, we get a 10% discount using this kora card, she was not happy in what I said, so she started saying, don't you talk to me like that, and started pointing her index finger at me and my husband. I do not know what set her off, but if that's that's the way Mobile talk to customers then I would rather not use the Kora card.

Kora are a reseller of the Mobil fuel card - there are many many resellers of Mobil cards around NZ, so i think this cashier may have been new and not sure about what she was trying to answer. Please call us any time on 0800 567 269 with your Kora questions as we have an after hours call centre as well as the day time team. Also if you can email us at support@kora.co.nz with the service station you were at when you have this experience - we will follow up with our Mobil rep to see if we can prevent this ever happening again.
