I referred a friend to Koze after dealing with them myself. They do not use the Internet as elderly but they have told all about the experience they had and have praised it very highly to my happiness, thanks for being reliable as always.

Poor aftercare

We used Koze for our solar PV and battery installation. There has been an issue with the battery and after over 4 months this has still not been rectified and we have a non-functioning battery. Communication with Koze has been terrible. They frequently don't respond to emails, and the phones are generally unanswered.

I would strongly suggest you look for an alternative company and do not use Koze Home.

kozehome started my installation on 25 08/2022 for pv solar panels & batterys had to callout another company out to rewire batterys on 05/01/22as they had never charged so were completely flat no reply to emails or telephone calls finally intouch in march telling me mcs certificate &60 page pack to arrive in 7days on 05/04/23 I telphone mcs to find out kozehome do not have mcs accredtation for pv solar panels & battery storage please be careful with this company

I can confirm that Koze does have MCS accreditation for Solar PV and batteries. Certification Number: NAP-61320. The battery has been working but due to some bad weather it will not alway have a full charge.

Generally speaking I'm more than happy…

Generally speaking I'm more than happy with the overall installation and service received from Koze.

Not the end of the world but a few of the components that arrived on the initial delivery were incorrect and the installation itself ran over 4 days which meant rescheduling my diary. They informed me that the wrong components from their supplier and the sheer size of the installation contributed towards the unanticipated additional days.

The equipment has been installed neatly and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending to family and friends

Perhaps you guys should consider some type of referral scheme?

Steer well clear. Awful company

I’m only giving 1 star as it’s not currently possible to give zero. In reality, it’s a zero. I paid my first deposit to Koze for installation of Solar PV with batteries almost 12 months ago and I’m still waiting for my MCS certificates and warranties from work that was “completed” on 21st December after several months of delays and much hassle to me and my young family (the irony of them “finishing” the solar installation on the darkest day of the year after 6 months of delays is not lost on me).

In terms of the actual installation itself, Koze originally sent me grossly incompetent/negligent contractors who were incapable of actually installing the solar panels correctly. My wife and I refused to have them back after the second attempt when they shattered my home alarm system after hours, despite me asking them repeatedly not to be there at that time, and woke our 7 month old baby and 3 other sleeping children up. Following our complaints about these contractors, turns out Koze subsequently parted ways with them, which further highlights the scale of their negligence.

In the salvage job, the new contractors had to remove the solar panels from my roof, where they stayed off for 3 months on top of scaffolding until the correct parts could be found to actually attach them to the roof safely. The incompetent contractors had not used enough roof hooks to attach the panels safely and then made off with the difference.

You would think in all this, that somebody from Koze would be making strenuous efforts to manage the situation and ensure we have a safe and working system. Far from it. If you want a textbook example of how not to manage a business, read Koze homes. They deceive in their sales pitch, do not conduct due diligence on suppliers, provide nothing in the way of customer support, do not respond to emails, make excuses and never apologise for their mistakes.

This company needs to be named and shamed. My advice. Steer well clear if you want to avoid a stressful installation. If there is to be a recession in the UK in the coming years, and if there’s any justice in the world, this will be one of the first companies to be taken out by it. Dreadful. Utterly dreadful. My only hope is that I may actually receive my warranties and MCS certificates beforehand (the contract stipulates they will provide them within 10 days of “completion” and yet here I am 104 days later, still waiting and chasing). I’m unable to receive my money for excess electricity generation without these which defies the point of the installation to a degree.

These guys are actually brilliant! I saw a couple of negative reviews but the sales guy was very open and honest about the issues they’d faced.

I’m so glad I decided to move forward with them. The quote itself was very detailed (arguably a little too much information) and reasonably priced in comparison to the other quote I had.

I’m sure the bacon sandwiches and endless amounts of tea helped but the installation guys were fab! Arrived at a decent time and stayed at my property all day until the job was completed. The engineer showed me how to use the app based user interface which was very much appreciated.

10/10 guys…….. Thanks again! 😊

There was a bit of a delay with my…

There was a bit of a delay with my installation which had to be rescheduled. I was ensured that this was indeed a nationwide problem and unavoidable.

I am very happy with the installation overall. I had visions of it being unsightly but the work has been carried out to a high standard. The equipment they promised and fitted seems to be very good quality, specifically quiet aesthetically pleasing to the eye which is a pleasant surprise.

I would have no problem in recommending Koze to anyone considering a solar installation

Don’t use Koze

Don’t use Koze, since we made almost all the final payment all communication from them has stopped! Won’t reply to emails or return my voicemail’s!
Work still incomplete since starting in Sept 2022!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I got a quote for a solar PV and battery install back in September 2022 and was provided assurances that all certification (including MCS) would be provided on completion. Having paid a 30% deposit I learned that Koze Home are not MCS accredited for solar PV installations.

Concerned by this news I immediately requested to terminate the contract on the basis of Koze Home miss-selling their ability to provide an MCS certificate for my installation in the contract. Reluctantly they agreed, however the refund amount was paid a week late (after their already generous 30-day refund policy) and only following 15+ phone calls a day and threats of legal action against them.

When the refund was paid to me after 35-days I noticed a fee of £240 was deducted which I challenged. Not hearing anything back from Koze Home after many emails and attempted phone calls I was forced to submit a small claims court summons to Koze Home.

Thankfully the final element of my deposit was paid shortly after their court summons arrived and I terminated my claim against Koze Home.

So in summary, AVOID KOZE HOME AT ALL COSTS, they will:

- promise you everything and deliver you nothing
- lie to you about MCS accreditation for solar PV in the contract
- take your money freely but only refund your money once legal action against them is taken

However you are correct in stating that we have yet to receive our PV and Battery accreditation, the audit has now been completed by MCS and Koze should have this accreditation added to the others Koze holds very shortly

really poor customer experience

Despite Koze's reply after reply saying that everything is ok, both installations are still pending to be finished or repaired.

There's been some small progress, but it's also been 4 months since the last update. If you look at the bigger picture, the ASHP has been installed for 14 months and it's not fully repaired. The panels have been installed for 8 months now and still have several issues.

Dear ladies and gentlemen from Koze. Stop saying that everything is ok with the ASHP installation and that I'm happy with it. I've been without the anti-legionella cycle since at least October. This is a health & safety issue that it's taking you too long to solve.

Regarding the other remaining issues, it's quite shocking that you are saying they will be sorted early next week when you haven't bothered letting me know. Don't you think you should've shared this with me before announcing it on a public forum? Is this theatrics or just more lies?

Stop wasting time pretending you are sorting the issues out and don't come back here until you have truly sorted them. I'm happy to change my review then, but in the mean time, just use that time for something useful.

There's still an issue with the ashp installation that they've known about since October 2022. I don't really know where they get the feeling that it's completed and I'm happy with it.

They did pay a visit after writing this review, but the outcome was not satisfactory for me. They "confirmed" the issues I had complained about for over 3 months. It's appalling that they ignored me completely until I started making noise in the public domain.

They also promised in writing to have the solar installation fully certified by the 31st of March and that didn't happen. This is because despite their multiple attempts, they are still not MCS certified.

I won't comment about the blame game with the subcontractors for the solar, but although they say in the message that it would be sorted this week, it's not happening. They haven't given me a date and it's probably due to no contractor wanting to work with them.

It's likely that you will only read this review once you've had several issues with Koze and you are desperate for a solution, but if I can help even one soul with my comments, it will have been worth it. I wish I had read online reviews about them before signing.

In march 2022 (yes, 1 year now!) I went into a contract with them for both solar pv and heat pump systems. I still have issues with both installations and they are nowhere to be seen to sort out anything.

Unlike other people complaining here, I have managed (to some extent) to talk to them a few times, but they promise everything and deliver very little.

A part from all the technical issues I have pending, now that it's sunny i'm exporting energy for free to the grid because they have not produced an MCS certificate that i need for an export tariff.

avoid at all costs. if at least they were cheaper than others... you could say "you get what you pay for". but that's not even true for them, as they charge you the same as other installers but offer a really bad customer experience.

Update, this customers solar and battery install has now been completed as well as the ASHP.
Sorry you still feel let down by KOZE, Koze carried a full site visit on Tuesday 28th March to do a full quality control check. Koze has identified a number of issues that are being rectified early next week. The issues have arisen due to having to use a third party contractor for some of the work which has been recognised as sub standard. The contractor has been let go and will not be used again and all remedial is being scheduled in along with the customers handover pack that will include the DNO and all other documentation. Koze is really sorry that you have experienced such a bad service on your solar installation. Koze is very pleased that your ASHP is working as it should and that you are happy with that installation from Koze.

3rd review as can't get in touch with them and phone number disappeared from site. Still no refund saying that they are coming to do it which is not what my parents want but again this company just keeps fobbing them off saying they coming even though a refund was ment to be started which should have gone through by now but no sign of them or the refund. This company is just ripping people off.

7 months of nightmare dealing with this company ( being ignored for the last 4 months)

Last time we managed get hold of Koze was in November 2022. They agreed to refund our money as they have not fulfilled their contract (signed in July 2022, see previous reviews). That was another broken promise, we have no installation and still have no sign of the thousands of pounds they should have refunded us. We still tried to contact them numerous times by email and phone, but received no answer from them.
We can see that other people are going through the same nightmare, although it seems Koze had the dignity to reply to some of these people at least.
Koze, why didn’t you give us our money back yet and when will you finally do it? How much longer will you ignore us?

This company owe me over £7,000!

Unfortunately, Koze Home promise a great deal but fail on every front.

7th Sept 22 - following a site visit, I was told in writing that installation would take 4-6 weeks. As a result of this I ordered Solar panels and home storage battery and made payment 1 (25%).

3rd Oct 22 - was offered installation date of 7th November which I accepted and made payment 2 (35%).

Nov 22 - chased company as no communication.

4th Dec 22 - an "installation team" (3rd party installers) visited telling me the plan drawn up on the initial contract would not work and some air vents would need to be removed.

20th Dec 22 - received long email apologising but with contradictions and excuses.

Jan 23 - chased Koze for an installation date. Eventually lost patience as sick of being ignored and fobbed off by email, phone call, text message and cancelled on 30th Jan 23.

Mar 23 - still being ignored despite 30 days since sending cancellation notice.

The next step is a solicitor which will end up being much more expensive for the company.

It's a shame as I was looking forward to more energy independence but this experience has put me off.
