Kaiser Physical Therapist’t can’t even…
Kaiser Physical Therapist’t can’t even diagnose a right leg 7 mm shorter.
1/4 inch = 7.35 mm.
Started with back pain six years ago +
Now Right knee is 3 % arthritic. Limp and gait is off. Lots of pain.
Went outside Kaiser to find out the problem.
Extremely expensive, not transparent, kept billing my card months after I cancelled
What's there to say about the broken American health insurance industry that people don't already know? Well, I'm sad to report that my Kaiser really did up the ante in terms of unaffordability. Keep in mind I'm a healthy 30 year old man with no preexisting conditions, so know that literally everyone else is getting a worse deal than what I'm about to describe. Where to begin? ~$400 a month for a bare bones plan that really just gives you the "privilege" of accessing all of Kaiser's other extremely expensive care options. Want to see a doctor for 15 minutes? $150 copay. Get tricked into seeing a specialist for 15 minutes? $1050 dollars. I'm not even kidding. Had to set up a monthly payment plan to not go broke from that little misadventure. I cancelled my coverage back in August when I finally got a better health insurance option (I moved to Canada). Was I finally done with Kaiser? Nope, they continued to fraudulently charge my card every month. Not once, but twice. Even after I called them to say that they were fraudulently charging my card after the first time it happened. Months later I am still calling customer service reps to get a refund which has still yet to fully come. Obviously this company sucks and I don't recommend them, but honestly it's probably just par for the course in terms of American health insurance companies.
Wasted 15hrs Paid Sick Time Dr
Wasted 15hrs Paid Sick Time Dr. Chau Duc Nguyen PA
This is not specifically directed at Dr. Bolotaulo, but since she is the Supervising Physician, I utilized 15 hours of sick time from work to try to obtain Tamiflu and amoxicillin for my cold/flu symptoms as I have done in the past with Kaiser on several occasions. This young doctor did not heed my request and failed to consider my history of prescribed treatments for similar symptoms—he only prescribed Tamiflu and ibuprofen. I was suffering from a very painful throat and a forceful cough at 1:30 am. He came across as arrogant, and his approach did not reflect the experience one would expect from a seasoned doctor. I was very disappointed. Despite returning to work, I am still ill and had to self-administer steam treatments, inhalers, and nebulizers to soothe and loosen the mucus/phlegm from my throat to attempt to sleep, but I could only manage two hours at most due to the pain in my throat and difficulty swallowing or talking. This care from the doctor, who was actually a Physician Assistant, was very irresponsible, and it left me extremely unhappy. In the past, when taking Tamiflu with amoxicillin, I would start feeling relief within the fourth pill, so this was a regrettable situation.
In my experience, it's predominantly the young doctors who rigidly follow their textbooks instead of drawing on patient experiences, consequently failing to provide complete prescriptions. On several past instances with cold/flu symptoms, I was prescribed Tamiflu, amoxicillin, and ibuprofen, but it seems that younger, inexperienced, and immature doctors often cause the patient undue suffering by omitting amoxicillin.
The inexperience of these young doctors, coupled with highly expensive insurance and excessively long wait times, indicates a centralized system that is deteriorating.
Kaiser was so good for so many years…
Kaiser was so good for so many years but recently, the doctors are overwhelmed! 3000 doctors quit because of vaccine mandates and those were the smart ones who actually read the medical literature.
I actually had to report them to the BBB and JAMA for not putting important information in my records. They push vaccines and colonoscopies and use “step therapy” to keep you from getting needed care for months. I just got out of there! Thank GOD the doctors are totally overworked and can’t even look the patient in the face they are so busy. It’s a total nightmare in my opinion
TACOMS WA STATE RECORDS VERY RUDE…
TACOMS WA STATE RECORDS VERY RUDE FEMALE:
OCT. 2024 I VERY Very RUDE RUDE female called me about a medical records request. She was very uncooperative. She hung up in my face. Very disrespectful. What type of people is Kaisar hiring ??? WHICH Colleges are they hiring from ???? They only have a 2.5 star rating = Eventual Law Suits and people leaving Kaisar.
Kaiser cashed our check 9/30/24 and…
Kaiser cashed our check 9/30/24 and misapplied it. They sent us an overdue notice and finally after many calls admit the cashed the check, identified where they misapplied it and now will not alter their bookkeeping until the end of December. In the meantime they will send us overdue notices and continue to use our money. Incompetent bookkeeping!
No Longer a Good Healthcare Provider
Most of the people who work for Kaiser are amazing unfortunately Kaiser only cares about making money, not people's health. I waited 6 weeks for a CT scan, 8 weeks for an echocardiogram and 8 weeks for a referral denial. This company should not longer be allowed to run healthcare facilities.
My Kaiser doctor is great! But the Kaiser website...
My kaiser doctor is great!
The pharmacy at Kaiser is great!
Even the billing department at Kaiser is great!
What's SO not great that I am giving them 2 stars?
The website.
The Kaiser website seems to get worse almost by the hour. A few weeks ago logging on generated 50 cookies - Today it generates 74! And yet, in spite of front loading your visit with 74 pieces of what I assume are patient specific info, the website has my prescriptions messed up, my premium billing messed up, and my "Letters" (Kaiser's internal name for communications that would normally be sent by mail, but have been authorized by the member for electronic-only delivery) are messed up!
Kaiser allows you to contact the "Web Manager" for website issues, but the "Web Manager" will never admit that any issue exists - It must be the member's browser (I have started taking screenshots of the problems showing up in BOTH Firefox and Chrome), or the member's cookies (Really, the member's cookies? Not Kaiser's?!) need to be deleted (which does nothing).
I could go on forever... The upshot is that the "Web Manager" has the medical team, the pharmacists, and the billing department folks running interference for them while they deploy untested software and generally create mayhem.
Kaiser dysfunction/inability to switch member accounts to new billing system !!!
Whats wrong with Kaiser ? Unable to handle basic technology ?
They decided to switch billing systems and dropped membership - and health coverage for someone heavily dependent on this - because they did not know how to switch a member account (setup for auto-billing) from an old system to a new system. A 2-bit gym can do this - but Kaiser cant ? ! Amazing.No. Shameful!
Dr. Bala is an amazing surgeon!…
I recently had a total hip replacement in Los Angeles with Dr. Bala. He is one of the few doctors that does the anterior approach which provided me with a quicker recovery and better stability after surgery. He is very knowledgable, supportive and personable. I feel very lucky to have gone through this with such a competent professional!
I have good primary doctor that I…
I have good primary doctor that I really like and have gotten good care from him and other doctors in his office as well. That is the reason for the five stars.
My dislike is for psychiatry department mental health. I have only come across one psychiatrist that I have liked but he only works the emergency rooms the rest of them all suck and I have to dump them.
Worse medical attention ever
Worse medical attention ever, you won't be able to see your doctor when needed, is almost impossible to get the care you need in time. They purposely let you get sicker to get more money from your insurance. I been complaining 3 years for symptoms that now are getting complicated due to lack of treatment.
Kaiser has become the Worst Heathcare Provider Now
Kaiser is awful now. 4 years ago Kaiser was good. 8 to 10 years ago it was even better. Today, it now takes 3-4 months to get a basic appointment with your primary care doctor. When trying to speak with your primary care doctor to give an explanatio for your appointment, you will get an email response, not from your primary care doctor or a PA, but a nurses aid that most often doesn’t even work directly with your doctor. They will tell you you’ll need to schedule an appointment using their online system…. Good luck!
When I first got Kaiser 10 years ago, it was great. You could get an appointment in a couple days with your doctor in and out. Get x-rays, Get MRIs done and get referred to a specialist as needed. Now the process will take 3 to 4 months for just basic care. Most of the staff I’ve spoken with are overworked, nurses, doctors, in-patient care, all have more patience than they’re supposed to and constantly get burned out.
Kaiser Insirance is now like having Government Health Insurance, I know many that have it, It’s awful. You are better off paying a little bit more through your PPO and finding a better provider.
I wouldn’t trust getting any kind of major surgeries done here anymore. Everything is run like a McDonalds(volumes of patients and low quality, minus the quick service). Kaiser Corporate really trying to pinch pennies and cut staff and overwork the remaining. In my opinion, this creates a very unsafe environment. Still pushing volumes of patients through inadequate care. Run don’t walk from Kaiser insurance.
Refuses care for patients in need of…
Refuses care for patients in need of finical assistance. Been a member for over 30 years, started to struggle to pay all my bills and now they're refusing me care until I pay.
The most horrendous customer service…
The most horrendous customer service and billing portal on the planet. This company has no clue what they're doing.
I have a very bad experience at Kaiser…
I have a very bad experience at Kaiser Permanente. Sta Clara Kaiser paralyzed my legs. The doctors are dishonest and cannot be trusted. It is a worse hospital on earth. Never go to Kaiser Permanente.
Kaiser just deleted my review on…
Kaiser just deleted my review on Yelp. They claim I did not give enough information about my experience. Kaiser has a benefit that has a 60.00 per quarter choice of stuff from medline.I ordered toothpaste. There was blue#5 and yellow #1 in it.These have been banned in other countries.I believe it is outrageous that an organization promoting health believes this is ok.Some products do not have country of origin such as the Famotidine .The chemical arthritis creme makes me nauseous and dizzy within the medline choice of stuff.A much more natural one not on the choice does not give me side affects. There are no natural toothpastes and only soft low end toothbrushes offered.I do not ever use otc cold medicines, diapers,or diabetes stuff. In an entire year I may use 10 bandaids. How many q tips can a person use?I do not do well with vitamins.I believe the outrageous prices put on many items are high because everything is wrapped in plastic and is shipped.Medline has had recalls.Therecycled toilet paper
does not have a country of origin. I do not know of an independent test for toxic chemicals in it.The toilet paper is valued at $2.50 per skimpy thin roll. As a senior am I not grown up enough to pick out products that enhance my life rather than take away?
Do not use this medical company for…
Do not use this medical company for anything. they do not care about people as people. They're only a number and an increased digit to their financial status!!! They have zero follow through or empathy and could care less about anyone! I would give zero stars if i could!!!
Go to another hospital where you won't die
My 30 year old daughter-in-law was ignored and sent home three times from Kaiser emergency rooms. The last time, in San Francisco, they didn't even try to diagnose her pain, but gaslit her into believing that she was experiencing a mental health issue and sent her home with instructions to contact a psychiatrist. She died at home from pancreatitis.
Kaiser is verifiably understaffed and they do not care about you. They are supposed to be a non-profit, but made over 8 billion dollars last year. They had the largest nursing strike in history, while their CEO makes about 18 million dollars a year.
Recently, a man with chest pains was allowed to die from a heart attack because they completely discounted and ignored him. He waited 8 hours in the Kaiser ER.
In California, the most you can recieve for medical malpractice is $550,000.00. As such, getting burned by a chicken McNugget is more valuable than your loved one's life. Kaiser knows this. They're like the old Ford Pintos and have made a monetary calculation that in some cases it's cheaper to try and beat the odds and withhold treatment. Afterall, the worst that could happen is a $550,000.00 payout, which is nothing when you have 8 billion dollars in the bank.
Unprofessional Provider
Recent ER visit for vertigo and severe emesis and then having to deal with an unprofessional abrupt rude provider. emesis lead to bad cramps - electrolytes were not check and I was asked to leave the hospital
Why am I paying so much for inappropriate care
