Kenya Power is the main power…

Kenya Power is the main power distributor in Kenya and millions of Kenyan's depend on it. The down side is that support to power interruption is very slow. Also customers in remote areas are yet to get power distributed to there area.

KPLC customer care has to be the…

KPLC customer care has to be the absolute worst in the world. Their agents are unbelievably rude, completely devoid of empathy, and their response time is a total joke. If there’s a hardware issue, brace yourself; you’ll wait for weeks. We’ve been stuck with a faulty transformer for days, and not a single person at KPLC seems remotely bothered. It’s honestly disgraceful.

I stay in Kisumu Okore estate

I stay in Kisumu Okore estate, we did not have electricity from Saturday evening 4/10/2025 to 8/10/2025. Those are 3 good days with no electricity after filling several complaints with reference number.
At last they came and the issue was sorted in less than a minute.
If the issue took less than a minute I believe we could have electricity earlier than Sunday. So for me that was very incompetent of them. They could have done better and responded on time.

One of the most corrupt company in the country. The field staff are always asking for bribes and the armchair supervisors are inefficient. The company is a monopoly that should be making huge profits and yet its poor management and corrupt field officers are hemorrhaging the company to death. Stop disconnecting power without prior warning

Absolutely no customer service and overbilling

Absolutely no customer service. And billing almost 10000 units a month for a two person household. Instead of responding to customers complaints they disconnect. No response of management to our letters despite their policy to respond within 3days.
Malindi office is the worst. Customers wait for hours in front of closed doors

Terrible Customer Service & Unreliable…

Terrible Customer Service & Unreliable Power Supply Kenya Power is by far the worst utility company I’ve ever seen. Their customer service is non-existent—they never respond to complaints, and when they do, it’s just empty promises. Power outages are frequent, sometimes lasting for hours or even days, with no proper communication or updates. Trying to reach them through their helplines or social media is a complete waste of time. For a company that holds a monopoly on electricity distribution, the level of inefficiency and negligence is shocking. It’s frustrating to see customers being ignored despite paying high bills for unreliable service. Kenya Power seriously needs to improve or allow competition so that consumers have better options.

Worst than this is not possible

I have to put at least 1 star but is too much for this company. No customer service, no answer, no competency. The power is off several times per day, each day..if not off for the whole day. If you go to their office their employees confirm that the company is not taking care about the problem. None is taking care of anything.if you enter a claim nobody contact you, you have only to wait hoping for a miracle. They are lucky because they are the only one supplier of power in Kenya.
