To be honest after having gone down into a pothole at 05.45am middle of the country lanes, 2 miles from work and 3 miles back home I managed to get to work where the RAC came to put on the space saver spare wheel.
So at lunch I called to find out what time the branch closed and was told 6pm but they were busy.
I said well I will come straight from work only 4 miles away but I need the car as going up to Manchester the next morning early.
The guy on the phone told me they were busy but if I got there in time they would have a look.
Got there just before 4pm having left work early and the same guy who was on the phone told me they will take a look but can't guarantee anything will happen.
Only 1 old lady having one tyre fitting but 3 others walk in while I was there and each told No, no chance. There really is no need to be demanding.
Also a young girl also walked in just asking for some air but the guy was rude and said she would have to go to Halfords.
I strongly recommend against using Kwik Move in Bristol. They are one of the most expensive but a complete waste of money. Firstly service and communication is poor, poor value for money in service given and lastly they do not fulfill their promise to return you deposit for returning all of the boxes supplied. We asked them many times for our £100 deposit and never received it. They also made personal derogatory comments about our new property and possibly scratched a wall.
Great company that are based in Bristol that I used a couple of years ago now, manager came to do an assessment and then the day before moving one guy did all the packing except for things I needed and then on the day of moving 2 guys came. All were polite and friendly and got things done swiftly and promptly
There were a couple of problems on the day of moving but these were soon solved (too much for the van, divan beds not going up the turn of the staircase and an assembly that went wrong but soon overcome
I am sure some people blow things out of proportion - stressful yes it is but I think that sometimes you have to go with the flow
Kwik Move gave our booked slot to another customer, leaving us with less than a week to find another company. This occurred without any explanation and was frankly baffling and led to a lot of unnecessary stress. My email to the manager bringing his attention to this unprofessional practice was ignored. I think you take your chances with this lot :(
They’ve helped both me and my friend both move and were friendly and got the job done nicely.
This a great company who have been trading for 25 years and offer a full packing and removal service. They go out of their way to help and assist all of their customers.
Firstly we chose this company over others after initial contact from their MD who surveyed our property and appeared super friendly. Unfortunately therein the service did not live up to expectations. The T&Cs were immediately referred to when we had a query. This be warned is used over and over, the company do not want to discuss anything. We paid extra for delicate packaging, a service we didn’t receive and they broke a £400 piece of art as well as damaging other original works of art, all of which they would not take responsibility for! The additional insurance be warmed again will not cover anything New for Old, it only covers present day value yet costs a third of a years home insurance. They also have a 7 day limit for reporting anything, ridiculous when most new home owners take weeks to unpack!!!! Our children’s toys were thrown into boxes without any packaging, a service we’d paid extra for. There would appear to be no comprehension of the value or respect of the clients property, pack quickly and go it would seem. Our garden plants and pots of which there were numerous numbers, we were promised would be flat bedded to protect, many were stacked with other items loaded on top. They refused to take furniture to the top floor of our new home, furniture that we had to take up ourselves. Boxes with clear instruction were placed in wrong rooms, in outbuildings and on wrong floors, bags of sand from our children’s sandpit were thrown in the garden and split, boxes were dropped when being off loaded from the trucks, all because it was getting close to 17.00, the list goes on. Contact with the office staff was often frosty and again, T&Cs are always referred to before a real conversation will ensue. The final straw with us came when we were insulted and verbally shouted at on our own doorstep by a member of staff who took offence to us asking them to reuse their own packaging, which considering the importance of the green credentials of companies now, all should be responsible for any reusable items such as bubble wrap, paper and boxes, but especially bubble wrap (plastic waste - it’s apparently a one time use only!!!!!) Overall we not only feel disappointed by the whole experience but removal companies should also take into consideration the stress new home owners are under. Never, never again would we either use or recommend this company. Dreadful, it’s just a shame the experience didn’t continue from our first meeting with the MD.
We used Kwik Move to move house earlier this year. All was good until the end of the second day when it became clear they just wanted to go home. At this point they pretty much dumped everything (in some cases literally) and ended up damaging a number of items.
When we attempted to complain, they didn't want to know.
Not recommended.
