I have been on three international trips with LWT: Bali, Croatia and Vietnam. All three trips have been beyond incredible! I would never have believed I could have packed so much into a break away and it has all been down to Shareen’s planning and expertise. I have made so many new friends, and have sparked a love of travelling to places I’d only dreamed of visiting before. Thank you Shareen and LWT.

Just back from the first Bala UK trip and it was great.
I was the youngest there and was a little apprehensive but there was no need to be - everyone was so inclusive and welcoming.
Between us we decided to white water raft, kayak and have an evening meal out.
Lots of laughter, insightful conversations and fabulous memories and friendships made!

I’m just back from the Vietnam trip which was my third with LWT. Another AMAZING trip. The planning, variety and value for money is outstanding. You don’t have to think about anything except enjoying it as all the hard work is done for you. All sorts of ladies on the trip, who live in different circumstances but all with a willingness to mix and their own interesting stories. I would highly recommend LWT.

I have just finished this incredible trip, to call it just a holiday would be an understatement as it truly was an adventure of a lifetime. Well organised from start to finish, excellent value and overall an incredible, amazing experience with 18 lovely ladies and a perfect host. I couldn't recommend it highly enough 😀

I have been on 1 UK and 3 International trips with LWT, Croatia, Maldives and just returned from Japan. All I can say is that this group have provided me with a comfortable way to travel to places that have been on my bucket list but woukd not go alone! All of the holidays I've had with LWT have been amazing. However, my trip to Japan will hold a special place in my heart! I met 15 beautiful strong and amazing women on this trip. Why was it so different to the other trips? On this one I finally put myself 'out there' instead of just sitting on the sidelines. And the reward was soooo great!!! We had a full itinery and saw/experienced all of the main sights Japan had to offer. But for me personally, all of us sitting in the park or the hotel lounge chatting and laughing till our sides hurt filled my heart. Each woman had their own story and experiences and I felt so grateful to be a part of their journey in Japan. I've formed friendships that I hope will last a lifetime. Thank you Shareen for creating this community and making my 'Travel Dreams' come true! Xx

I am looking forward to another trip with LWT in a few weeks. I have been on 2 UK breaks and one abroad as well as lots of local meetups. If you are sitting on the fence then I recommend taking that leap! In my experience the trips are so well thought out and there is a real focus on treating each woman as an individual and encouraging connection and appreciation of the moment. Thanks Shareen and your family for bringing women together!

I was extremely nervous travelling abroad to Croatia with a group of strangers. It ended up being the most amazing experience. Great organisation from Shareen. Such a friendly, welcoming, like minded group of ladies from lots of different ages, interests and backgrounds.
Room sharing was just fine, what was I so worried about. Daily warm sea swims were the highlight for me. Lots of interesting places to explore and plenty of time to relax.
I can’t wait to book another trip.

I went on the yoga retreat trip in Andalucia, Spain, with Ladies who travel in October 2025. The trip was very well organised, the place and the experience were amazing and I made fabulous friends. I would deffinately recommend this trip to anyone even if yoga is not a strength, the whole experience is unforgettable. Loved the visit to Ronda, Caminito del Rey and the homemade food was top notch!

My experience of Ladies Who Travel could not be more positive! Having met Shareen, the founder, and several of her daughters, I was impressed with the level of expertise and professionalism. The quality and diverseness of the itineraries they put together for all the trips are outstanding.
From arriving at a collection of beautiful Cottages in Cornwall feeling somewhat apprehensive to meet strangers, I was put at ease immediately. Sitting around a big farmhouse table, sharing food and stories together, laughing and playing board games, taking a dip in the hot tubs, visiting local tourist spots nearby all resulted in an amazing experience. My room mate and I chatted away and are now friends, having been strangers.
My advice would be to ‘Just Do It!’ Put yourself out there, move forwards away from your comfort zone and have a meaningful and rewarding holiday!

I’ve wanted to ski for the whole of my life but never had opportunity or anyone to go with….Ladies who Travel changed that and I’m so grateful.
The trip was excellent and better than I could have imagined. All 12 ladies bonded immediately despite the various ability levels. As a compete novice I was obviously apprehensive but was very quickly put at ease by our host who was amazing.
Our chalet was lovely in a great location. We had a free bus service to town and a very short walk to the cable car. Experienced skiers could even ski back down practically to our garden.
We had the most incredible food and staff were superb.
I would not hesitate to go again or recommend to anyone thinking of booking this trip

Shareen the founder of LWT goes out of her way to make sure the holiday is packed with excellent activities and excursions. She will help people who have difficulties by providing an alternative. The holiday I went on was absolutely amazing. And any events I have been to have been organised with such detail and I have always thoroughly enjoyed.

I’ve not long returned from a fantastic bucket list trip to Japan during blossom season with Ladies Who Travel UK, hosted by the wonderful Co Founder Shareen.

It was my first booking with this group, didn’t know anybody beforehand, but quickly formed great friendships, having fun together and supporting each other along the way, I had an absolutely fantastic time and memories for life.

Japan has been on my bucket list for a while now and most other group tours were way over my budget, but this tour was so reasonably priced with an absolutely action packed itinerary with so much included that I just went for it and so pleased I did.
Multiple stop overs, Tokyo, Hakone, Takayama, Kyoto, Nara and Osaka with so much in between.

Shareen’s tours are generally so well priced and give us ladies the opportunity to travel to fantastic destinations in good company and receiving support along the way.

I booked the March 2026 Ladies Who Travel ski trip in 2025 after seeing it advertised on Facebook. It was made clear this was the first ski trip organised by LWT, which I accepted, expecting some teething issues. However, the experience did not match what was advertised, and constructive feedback has since been dismissed rather than addressed.
The chalet was advertised as “ski in/ski out right across from the main lift.” In reality, it was located in La Prodains. Accessing Avoriaz and the main ski area required additional planning, which was not communicated clearly in advance. The description of the location was therefore misleading.
There were multiple inconsistencies between the advertised itinerary and what actually happened. Ski equipment was delivered on arrival rather than on the stated day. The chalet staff night off did not match the itinerary. Guests were only informed on the Friday morning that all ski equipment had to be returned at 5pm that same day, limiting flexibility on the final afternoon.
We were advised via WhatsApp to book return flights between 10–11am. However, the transfer time was set at 5:45am, making the advertised final breakfast on the Saturday morning impossible. Although the itinerary included this as part of the experience, it could not realistically take place based on the timings provided.
There were also avoidable organisational issues. An incorrect contact number for the ski company was shared in the WhatsApp group. On the first ski lesson day, around 30 minutes was lost due to confusion and delays impacting guests on that lesson.
More broadly, the level of hosting and support did not reflect what had been presented in advance. Pre-trip messaging emphasised supportive, organised hosting and a structured experience. In practice, much of the group had to problem-solve logistics themselves as the week progressed.
It is important to say that the LWT trip host did her best in difficult circumstances. She appeared to have been given very limited information in advance (reportedly receiving key details only days before the trip) and had little support available when she reached out for guidance during the week. The issues experienced therefore appear to stem from a lack of planning, communication and support at organiser level, rather than the effort of the host on the ground.
There were also situations during the trip where guest wellbeing and oversight could have been handled more appropriately. While I fully respect that adults make their own choices, there were occasions where fellow guests had to step in to support others, which did not reflect the level of hosted experience that had been implied.
Following the trip, detailed and constructive feedback was provided. The response received did not engage with the substance of the points raised and instead relied on wording from the booking page, stating that elements were “outside of control” or that concerns were not raised at the time. It was also suggested that the trip may simply not have been the right fit, rather than acknowledging the discrepancies between what was advertised and what was delivered.
This is particularly difficult to reconcile with ongoing public messaging which emphasises that hosts provide leadership, support, communication and ensure that each guest receives the experience they paid for. This was not my experience.
On a positive note, genuine friendships were formed during the trip, which I value greatly. However, this felt more like a trial run than the organised, hosted and professionally delivered experience that had been advertised.

I've recently returned from a tour of Japan, organised and hosted by Shareen @ Ladies Who Travel. It truly was a trip of a lifetime. A full itinerary staying in Tokyo, Takayama, Kyoto and Osaka. Experiencing sumo wrestling, sushi making, Japanese tea ceremony, Geisha District, magnificent temples and shrines .. the list goes on. All shared with 16 ladies I had never met but soon forged close friendships.
Anyone who wants to travel but doesn't want to go alone, who is open minded and up for laughs along the way, I would highly recommend Ladies Who Travel.

I recently returned home from an amazing once in a lifetime trip to Japan. Yes, I was apprehensive being my first trip with LWT. I had heard good and negative things about the trips, while attending local events, but put them aside for this trip, and I'm so happy I did.
Travelling with 16 women (including Shareen) who I had never met, made me feel apprehensive, but as soon as we met enroute in the airport we began to gel. Everyone was so friendly, caring and looking out for each other, throughout the trip and we all shared an awakening to some truly wonderful experiences thanks to Shareen's pack schedule and it was packed!
Highlights for me were simply sitting amongst the cherry blossoms chatting, and being immersed in nature and culture. We all shared tears of laughter and wonderful meals.
I will definitely be booking onto future trips and look forward to lots more once in lifetime experiences.

I recently travelled to Amsterdam with LWT, this was my first trip with them.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. The weather was cold but dry and the ladies I met were all lovely. The trips were good, although I think more time spend at Keukenhof Gardens would have been nice. We did not have our own tickets. Our lovely guide, Marianne had all the tickets on her phone. We had a lovely river cruise on the first evening and then went to a bar/restaurant which was a bit too lively and smoky for some of us. Luckily some of us managed to secure a table in another room. Being the first evening I felt it was a bit too much as most of us were very tired from travelling so early in the day - 5am in my case. This is not a critism by any means.
I didn't attend any of the brewery trips. Anne Frank museum was good but the disability access from the attic wasn't explained so I couldn't go up the steep staircase because I thought you had to go back down them but it turned out you used normal stairs to exit. I did see photos of it though.
We saw the Jewish quarters, holocaust museum, the red light district and more. The hotel was out of the way and we had to get the metro everywhere which incurred extra costs. I found it quite exciting. Marianne was very helpful and always professional but so friendly and fun. She was amazing 👏 🤩
The hotel was lovely, great room, great breakfast and bar snacks.
I would love to go again but perhaps in April when its a bit warmer.

Mugged by a heard of deer lol Travelled with a bunch of ladies I didn't know, who have now become friends. Japan. Ladies who travel, Thank you. I’m just home from Japan with LWT, wow. I had an amazing experience. What an itinerary! Shareen always makes her trips so special. I went not knowing a soul and returned with such special bonds with all the ladies on this trip. Japan was my second trip, I did Finland in January and still have Madeira Thailand and Borneo this year. Thank you shareen for opening my world x you are a true inspiration.

I went on my first trip in May 2024 to Morocco, when the group was still more of a Facebook-based community that Shareen had originally started to find people to travel with her.

Since then, I’ve seen her recognise the opportunity, quickly professionalise the operation, become regulated, and grow it into a thriving business. The growth has been impressive, which reflects how strong and in-demand this niche really is.

Like any fast-growing business, there have been some growing pains along the way. However, what stands out is Shareen’s clear commitment to her core mission: taking women abroad—many for the very first time. A large proportion of travellers are aged 40–70, a demographic she herself is part of (we’re actually the same age), which I think helps her truly understand the needs of the group. Of course, there are some age variations, but this is generally the core audience I’ve observed.

Her business model simply wouldn’t work if people didn’t have a great experience and want to book again—and in my experience, she genuinely does care about that. The sheer number of trips now offered shows how well this is working.

Travel, especially international group travel, is never completely without hiccups. There are many moving parts, and not everyone on a trip has the same level of travel experience—some women need more support than others. At the same time, many travellers are repeat customers who have formed friendships, which creates a really nice dynamic within the group. I have shared a room with the same lady on 3 occasions now who I met thru LWT.

If you’re considering joining, my advice would be to go for it and try a trip for yourself. Be open-minded and prepared to navigate the occasional bump—it’s part of the adventure.

For me, it’s been genuinely life-changing. Since that first trip, I’ve travelled to Morocco, Iceland, Thailand, Panama, Cambodia, and Croatia. I’m also heading to Amsterdam this month to see the tulips with LWT and a Croatia sailing experience in August (second time).

This is my 5th holiday with this company . 3 in wales, Madeira and now pushed me further out of my comfort zone in Japan. Once again travelling with 15 strangers who have become friends. If you want to push yourself, be just you for a time and be inspired by other women who have done the same take the leap and book a trip. I can honestly say this group have lifted my spirits I feel stronger and more confident than ever before.
