At the Ladies Working Dog Group (LWDG), we know dog training isn’t always picture-perfect — and that’s exactly why we’re here. We’re a nationwide (and growing international!) community of women who are passionate about gundogs, and even more passionate about supporting each other through the highs, lows, and “what on earth just happened?!” moments of training. Inside LWDG, you’ll find a treasure trove of resources: Masterclasses, brilliant Featured Experts, experienced dog trainers, handy tips and tools, and our beloved live coaching sessions). But here’s the heart of it all: we’re about helping women build confidence in themselves, not just their dogs. We’re here to help you go from feeling unsure to feeling like part of a real team — you and your dog, working together. Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been at this a while, you’ll find a community that cheers you on, celebrates the little wins, and reminds you that you’re not doing this alone. Because at LWDG, we believe a confident woman and her dog can achieve just about anything — and have a lot of fun along the way.

So pleased to have found the Ladies Working Dog Group. It is such a non judgmental and kind group of people whose mantra is ‘ You don’t know what you don’t know’ so no question you might want to ask, is considered stupid. The experts are great ,they are very enthusiastic, and go out of their way to help with any training issue you may have. The training weekends are good fun and give you renewed motivation and enthusiasm to keep training your dog.

A fantastic group that is flexible and allows you to intersect with as little or as much as you like/need.
There are an array of platforms to help with your gundog training needs through social media, live events and podcasts.
This group really takes on the diversity of gundog trainers or budding gundog trainers and realising that a one size fits all approach is not the way. Thank you guys and keep up the good work!

This community/tribe is just the best, with the most positive ethos. There is an extensive library of information, courses, masterclasses and podcasts, experts on hand to answer queries, online training, face to face training, group chats with an army of women who are loyal and welcoming. This tribe has your back, they will celebrate, commiserate, boost, energise, empathise, support, educate, and motivate. They are a very positive influence, from a weekly newsletter boost to taking care of both ends of the lead through positive training methods and mental support. When you need a rock it’s here, and all questions are answered, none are stupid, ‘if you don’t know, you don’t know!’.
If you need help to train your dog, any dog, not just Gundogs, and you feel overwhelmed and lost, look no further, the best help is on hand in this group. I have been a member for over a year, and lurked on the fringes for a year prior to that.

This group is amazing, so welcoming, so helpful and so supportive. The amount of resources offered within the group is well worth joining in their own right, never mind the fortnightly dog and duck - where the experts answer any questions we have on training. Also the weekly Monday mindset such a great way to start the week. In addition Jo sends a weekly newsletter offering pointers to new articles and to encourage us that we are not alone in training our gundogs. I can’t speak highly enough about this group I am so glad that I found them and joined.

I have just followed the hot mess handler course, and what a course it was well worth joining up and listening to the ladies experiences and explaining what to do with your dogs step by step. My dogs have become much better at home. They recall to the whistle, they stay in position.the retrieve to hand. And I have access to the course to go back over it when I need too

Fantastic course that explains the basic skills needed for training a working dog. The classes are in-depth and aimed to move you through the core training to develop your dog. Ideal for those just starting on their journey or for those who want to have a dog with the good manners and training to be a well rounded pet dog.

The hot mess handler course is highly recommended. Really useful guide to how to approach training. With lifetime access there is no need to rush it. If you do have any issues Jo and the team are fab.
