Terrible Nail Salon

My wife went for a mani/pedi. The process was OK to begin with but soon turned into a nightmare. My wife is not from the US (but I was born and raised here) so her English isn't great. I think because of the language barrier, she was taken advantage of and in this decrepit establishment, there was nothing but animosity and bullying by the cashier lady.

On our most recent visit a week ago, the cashier asked for a cash tip only, as in she's not allowed to pay with her credit card.

She wouldn't give my wife her credit card back unless she paid in cash. How is it even possible you can say this to someone?

I had to stop working and drive to the salon, where I showed up and told the cashier it was illegal to make such a request. She told me my wife was lying (why would my wife lie about such a thing?).

My wife was embarrassed and ended up crying in the car that someone could be so rude, behave so poorly, and unprofessionally.

The lady essentially bullied us into giving her a tip and intimidated my wife by withholding her credit card. How is this legal?

The problem with this sort of behavior is if she's done this to us, she'll do it to others as well. People should be held accountable for their actions. We will NEVER GO there again.
