Elie Seroussi was born in Paris in 1958. Growing up in the center or Paris he developed a strong taste for fashion and craftsmanship. He opened his first fashion house, CECILE & JEANNE, in his late twenties, and built it into the well known brand it is today, with 10 boutiques in the prime Paris locations.
Elie raised his three children between the family ranch in Burgundy and the atelier in Paris. His oldest daughter, Natacha, took a keen interest in his work at a young age and showed a strong passion for fashion, the arts, and nature. After completing her studies of the arts Natacha naturally partnered up with her forever mentor and biggest supporter; Elie.
Together Elie and Natacha decided to do things differently. They wanted to create a brand that would combine the essence of who they are and what they believe in. Their products needed to be chic, elegant and modern… as well as environmentally friendly, vegan, and sustainable. They set off to design their first product - bobobark was born.

I adore this bag
I adore this bag. This is honestly my first “luxury” bag without the really heavy price tag. I love how versatile you can wear the bag along with taking the handles off for a more comfortable look or as a clutch. The design of the bag is really well made and fits all my essentials. I love the cork material and is thoughtfully made. The large opening helps me to see and grab what I need out of my bag, instead of dumping the contents. This was the best purchase I could ever make and it beats all my other bags I tried to use as an everyday bag.

The customer service is very friendly, responsive and professional. I recommend them. I just wish the products were made in France, which bums me out a bit. But other than that the products are beautiful. I’m looking forward to using my little purse soon.

I purchased my Tralola about two years…
I purchased my Tralola about two years ago and honestly I have barely used it - despite being beautiful I don’t find it overly practical - in particular I was never very happy with the zip quality. Now two years on I have just gone to photograph the item to try and sell it on, only to find the zip to the shoe compartment is splitting. I’ve probably used that zip a maximum of ten times so I’m now super disappointed that I am left with a broken bag that I can’t sell on or even use myself now. I also bought the packing cubes which are completely pointless as you can fit much more in the bag without them. Whilst the designs are beautiful I just don’t think the overall quality is there for the high prices paid. As someone that rarely pays out a lot of money for items like this - I thought I was getting a designer bag that would last a lifetime…that is very much not the case.

I love my new chouchou
I love my new chouchou, it's so cute! I placed my order end of Feb, knowing this was a new item and I was second batch which wouldn't be delivered until the summer. I emailed Laflore a couple of times because I was just too excited to wait, and they were so kind in updating me on the progress. It delivered a few weeks ago (during the summer) as expected, and it's just perfect! So excited to wear it to an event in two weeks :)

Unfortunately not durable enough for daily use
I have to say I loved the bobobark bag when I bought it. Beautifully designed and handcrafted, all the little details thought through to make it a practical every day companion.
So I used it daily for work - I mean, that was the reason I bought it for. Unfortunately, after a year of daily use, the bag shows very heavy signs of wear. The cork is worn away on the edges, simply from wearing it as a bag pack. Also on the folds on top, simply from opening and closing. And then there was a tear at the attachment point of the shoulder straps.
Usually I would have my bag repaired, but as it already shows so many signs of wear and tear I will not do it. I would not mind signs of ageing, that is normal, but unfortunately the cork material does not age, it only wears off and shows the material below.
Currently I would not buy an item from laflore again, because - at least for daily use - it is not very sustainable, Although the design and handcraft is beautiful.
I do hope that more research is invested and a way found to produce more durable cork material for this purpose. I have to say I have other cork items which show more resistence (purse, shoes), so this seems to be possible.
