Avoid

Waste of money when we were vulnerable. We were caught with a rent repayment order from bad tenants for a selective license that had been introduced in our area without any publicity. We hired this guy to defend us against a £22,000 order.
He charged us over £500, made us spend a day preparing documents and evidence. When it came time for the 45 min call he was late, it became quickly apparent he had not read our files, had no real legal expertise and probably qualifications and was phoning from abroad. All he talked about was "the process" and what was going to happen to us. Information freely available on the internet. He then wanted even more money to strike a deal for a discount with justice for tenants that you could negotiate better yourself.

hired this firm to defend me regarding…

hired this firm to defend me regarding a fine, but the outcome was worse than expected and I ended up paying more. I was told certain steps would be taken, however I did not receive clear updates or supporting documentation when I asked (for example, confirmation of what had been done and why). Overall, the process lacked transparency and left me feeling that I did not get value for the money I paid. I would not use them again. If anyone considers using them, make sure you get everything in writing, a clear fee breakdown, and regular evidence-based updates.

I wish I had read the reviews before…

I wish I had read the reviews before approaching these people. They are not professional. They knew that my property case had been to court and had a recovery order and still took £675 off me to tell me that they do not do court representation. They are also rather rude and speak in a patronising and condescending manner which is not professional. Common phrases are ‘I am not Indiana Jones trying to find the tomb’ or you have a Ferrari (in reference to the property) and now you have crashed it. They should be ashamed as took money and then said they don’t do court at all. So why take my money in the first place? So are they even solicitors? Are they even regulated?

Avoid this company at all costs

In my view this company are fraudsters. Offering everything and delivering nothing. Horrendous experience which left me in a worse position than when i started (and a lot poorer). i felt like i had literally been robbed. Very plausible on the phone but all they want is your money. The so-called brains behind the operation, Des Taylor, should be ashamed of himself. He did absolutely no work at all, and in my view, is little more than a petty thief.

Has anyone here heard of or dealt with…

Has anyone here heard of or dealt with landlords defence .co.uk?

They are not a legal firm yet they are all over ther internet making false claims.

A colleague of mine contacted them and all they did was request money upfront without providing any shred of evidence on what they did or could do to help him.

Curiously there are not reviews on either Trust Pilot and the few on google are not positive.

I would like some feedback on this company tp prevent my friend from losing money and having to pay even more to as court after he has been scammed.
