I sent them the ticket from the machine and also my bank statement showing the payment to them. Fine upheld but reduced to £20. I smell a horrible company can't see what more I could have used to prove id payed ?? Safe to say I'll never return, even if it was the LAST PLACE on earth , and watch for the con company Initial parking .

For a start the parking should be FREE as it used to be! £7.50 per day, with NOTHING open except crappy junk shops, and any ‘experiences’ they charge extra for, [if they were open] the whole place is just geared up to rip people off, everything overpriced, one coffee shop open, no prices displayed until you get to the counter, not going to pay that amount for a coffee, walked away in disappointment, don’t go there, park offsite in Sennen save yourself a lot of cash😠😡😤🇬🇧🇬🇧

Parking Payment Issues

Parking Payment Issues: No phone signal (for O2) = no payment = £60 fine

I recently visited Land’s End and was surprised to receive a £100 parking fine (reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days) — despite my genuine attempt to pay.

There was no mobile reception at all — not near the parking meters, not inside the complex, and not in the surrounding area. I attempted to use the app (I believe it was JustPark), but it just kept “thinking” and wouldn’t load. I didn’t realise until later that the payment hadn’t gone through, likely due to the lack of signal.

I now understand this is a private parking system run by Initial Parking, and that others have had similar issues. I’ve paid the fine because I didn’t have proof the app failed, but I feel this situation is incredibly unfair — especially for a major tourist destination where reliable service should be standard.

There was no warning about signal issues there are parking meter and machines though, which I didn't use as I expected it to eventually to go through. If you’re visiting, make sure you check your payment has definitely gone through on your app, even if it seems like it has.

It’s disappointing that what should be a memorable day out ends with this kind of stress and expense. I hope Land’s End reconsiders their arrangement with this parking operator.

Save your Parking Receipts! Beware Parking Scam

Parking Scam. Save your parking ticket, as weeks later they will claim you have not paid and even providing this ticket and bank statement they will 'offer' a reduction in the fine. Ridiculous that Lands End only ever state its run by a third party company and not them, yet they dont do anything about their vendor and dont take responsibility.

This is about the restaurant.

This is about the restaurant.
We come to this area for a holiday once a year. We always head for Landsend for a pint and a bar meal - ie scampi and chips ham egg and chips that sort of thing. Always busy and a lovely view to eat and chill out.
Rock up this year WHAT A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT - then menu has been changed to over priced meals - al a carte - prices - starting at 15 quid for a starter. Hardly surprising no one eating in the restaurant. A family can't afford these prices - so packing a picnic for next year or buying a lovely cornish pasty.
And no Tribute beer!
Why the change? What's going on?

They don’t care about disabled people

As all the previous reviews this is regarding the parking! My mother is disabled and walks with a 3 wheel walker, the parking area for disabled people is completely unfit for disabled people, it’s full of rough gravel, it’s really hard to walk and push wheels through. Disabled parking should also have space to get in and out but it’s just a dirt patch and whoever can fit in where. There is absolutely no signs or pay and display in the disabled area. Are disabled people suppose to go far and wide to pay for parking? I of course am able too & I would have happily paid if there was clear signs and a pay and display in the ‘disabled’ parking area. First time there, the parking attendant person when we drove in told us to just display our badge and where to park so got our parking fine when we arrived home from holiday, appealed but guess what they don’t care and just want their money!

Firstly as beautiful as the area is

Firstly as beautiful as the area is
Firstly as beautiful as the area is, please note that you either get 20 mins free parking or pay £8, there is nothing in between. As soon as you approach in your car, it's definitely not what you expect, once inside the gates, it turns into a mini theme park...crazy golf, Wallace and gromit experience, definitely not what is needed in our opinion, there's enough of all that elsewhere. Now for the famous signpost...unless you want to queue and pay £10.99 for a small photo, you won't get to stand next to it! Yes you can have a personalised message added, but in all honesty is it worth £10.99? We did manage to take a couple of photos from the wrong side of the roped area, and luckily there was a gap in the queue for us to get quite good photos. There are several gift shops....maybe too many! We drove from Pendeen (where we were staying on holiday) and the roads are very windy and tight, so do take care! To summarise I'm glad we went but also feel rather let down by what is just another money making business.....its not what you see on the TV!

Totally disappointed

Don’t be mislead by the advertising pictures if all you want to do is take a picture of yourself’s at the Lands End sign post. It’s not as pictured when you do a google search but has a small building and a fence with a place to que up and pay to take your picture. It’s £8 to park and another £10.99 to get a picture. I took a selfie at Jon O’Grotes and all I wanted to do was to get a matching one here. After asking the staff if this was possible I was rather abruptly told that I had to pay or take one from the distance, the guy even pointed out that I should have read the sign instead of asking.
Then I had a half a cup of watered down instant coffee before leaving.

The greed is unreal

As per everyone else's review, the charges are disgusting
£8 for an all day parking ticket is the only option.
An attraction that is probably an hour at most.
I then tried to take a picture of family stood at the sign. A member of staff told me I had to pay to do so!!!
At that point we left.
Can't cope with such greed from an organisation.
Complete waste of a drive, was there 15 minutes

Thoroughly disgusted

Thoroughly disgusted, visited Lands End on the 10th of July we arrived at 16.58 drove in didn’t see any car park charge boards the kiosks on the roadway in were closed with cones blocking the roadway through so just pulled into the car park walked into the “attractions” and found everything shut even the toilets were locked walked round and looked at the stunning views never saw any staff and we left again within 50 minutes despite it being a lovely July evening it was Shut!! Doesn’t give a very good opinion to visitors when they can’t be bothered to stay open at what should be a prime visitor season I also got caught out by receiving a parking charge infringement by post showing pics of my car entering and leaving talk about rubbing salt into the wounds

£100 parking charge Landsend car park

Came back from holiday yesterday 4th June 2024 to a parking notice for £100 for the Landsend car park. My husband had paid the parking fee at the machine but the machine did not produce a ticket. He read the signs which said you did not need to display the ticket. As the machine had taken his money he thought no more of it. I am a blue badge holder and the disabled parking section was shocking. Full of potholes and rubble, it was dangerous. I have just sent an appeal online but not holding my breath! I will not be paying it after reading all the reviews. I will take it to BBC Watchdog and trading standards if I have to. Seems this is only happening to users of the car park who pay cash! Not a place I will ever visit again after this! We weren't even there long. £7.50 for an hour and a half parking and then you get the parking charge on top of it! Scandalous!!

Pay By Cash Parking Scam

Pay By Cash Parking Scam

We arrived at 3:40 last Tuesday having enjoyed a fantastic time at St Michaels Mount. There were 3 cars in our party.
Shocked to say the least that we had to pay £7.50 per car but once your on the carpark you’re in their system and can’t escape ! Had we waited until 4:30 we could have paid “just” £4!
But we’re honest and we all paid up
I’m old fashioned and take cash - counted it out to my son in law by the machines all went through fine
Signs EVERYWHERE saying you don’t have to put a ticket in your car so we didn’t query not having a ticket
Stayed about 40 mins it’s all very commercialised and all about raking in the money see other reviews
Get home Saturday there’s a parking fine !!! £60!!!
As we paid cash and we’re given no ticket how do we prove we paid ! The others in the group who paid by card are all fine - funny that isn’t it!
My daughter has appealed but had been refused - we must be on their multitude of cameras at the parking stations
She’s emailed Lands End direct but no reply
So a lovely young hardworking family fleeced out of £67.50 and we were there about 40 minutes that’s more expensive than London
I feel so very cross for them - do you know how hard families have to work to earn that money
I will tell everyone to avoid Lands End
But you have a chance to redeem yourself - contact them- be human - rescind the fine and I promise I’ll put it on here !
Do the right thing! Cornish people are hard working and honest and love their County so don’t give it a bad name

What a SCAM!!

What a SCAM!!! Firstly, I am a blue badge holder. I arrived at the car park on 25th March at 7.13am, I had no cash on me, and my phone was dead and couldn't access online banking. I hung about looking for somebody, ANYBODY, connected to the site, to resolve the issue. NOBODY!!! Nothing opens until at least 10am. I left again at 7.46am, unable to pay the parking. And despite being there for half an hour whilst everything was closed (including the toilets) I should have paid £7.50 for parking. RIP-OFF !!! About the bits I could see? Plastic, over priced, money grabbing children's theme park. Now, I arrived home (near John O'Groats) on Monday 29th March, after paying ULEZ for London, two trips through the Tyne Tunnel toll, and the Humber Bridge Toll. Today, 1st May I have received a demand for £100 fine for my 'illegal' parking at Land's End. Appeals system not working, and it would seem that I am not the only one having major issues with this money grabbing, screwed up system. Not worth the time, the very long drive, and certainly not worth the money. Go do one 🤬

£7.50 to park your car and due to the horrendous weather we were in and out within 30 minutes. Even if it was a glorious day, everything to see and do is also all about the money and an extra cost. It was £10.99 if you wanted a photo next to the signpost! At the end of the day, it's just another piece of coastline yet it's been heavily over-commercialised. I wouldn't bother going knowing what I know now.

We wanted to see the real Lands End

We wanted to see the real Lands End, not the big blot on the landscape which sits above it. Finding we had to pay £7.50 just to park, we went away disappointed and spent the afternoon in some of the nearby sea side villages which were lovely.

Extortionate Parking price

Beautiful scenery, stunning location, however, disgraceful that one has to pay for a full day parking with no hourly options. Really, over 7 pounds just to visit for an hour or so. And the lands end signpost is no more, so even less value.
