I have loved the product and had 3 of their safety razors over the last few years.
The latest one was very different to the original 2, but I’ve got on fine with it,
However I’ve recently had an issue with the blades being sent and packaging being ripped. The latest one there were no blades inside, just the paperwork, I’ve contacted them 3 times to no avail.
The previous order had got wet (from the rain) during delivery and was damaged but luckily the blades were still inside.
I’ve noticed they don’t seem active on social media so wonder if there is something going on with the company, so I would consider buying elsewhere.

I have made an order on 26 November 2025 and it has not been delivered till today. I sent them few follow up emails and never heard back from them. Terrible customer service.

It really pains me to have to write a negative review for a company with products that are probably well designed and have the environment and reducing plastic waste at the heart of their ethos, however, short of personal issues going on behind the scenes (which I haven't heard any evidence of), I can see no reason why their customer service should be so negligent!

I purchased a safety razor from Lane 44 back in May and, when it arrived, due to personal reasons, I realised that I would be unable to use it so contacted them to take advantage of their 30 Day Money Back Guarantee. Thus began almost a month of trying to get a response out of them! I never received a reply to my original email or any of the follow up emails that I sent. I even researched online to find a phone number and various alternative email addresses in the hope of actually getting hold of someone but zero luck! I resent having to pay postage to send it back to the one physical address that I could find as I know that I probably won't get a refund or any response that way either so have had to pass the razor on to someone who might use it. I'm now having to draw a line under the whole thing and accept that I won't get a penny back from Lane 44!

If you want to take a chance on their products, they might be fine (I never tried the razor) but don't expect any response from them if you have issues or want a refund!

Bought this and followed all the tips etc for use as the thought of no cuts seemed incredible - oh BOY was it a mistake, cut myself using it on my legs sunday morning and it’s still bleeding 2 and a half days later! so disappointed and frankly angry. If i could give 0 stars then i would

Saw this razor advertised for sensitive skin, so I thought I’d give it a try, the design, weight and feel to it is nice. But says change blade after 4-7 shaves, when I first change the blade it takes chunks out of my ankles (haven’t cut myself shaving for years) then after that first shave it doesn’t seem to give me a close shave at all, I have to go over the same area 3 or 4 times to even feel the hair gone, then over again another 2 times to make it actually feel smooth, if I use shaving cream it seems to clog up the razor really fast and blunt the edges, I’ve used it maybe 10 times now and have yet to have a totally smooth shave, it’s always still stubbly in a lot of areas, pretty much have to give myself razor burn if I want a smooth finish, might just be me but I’m really not getting on with it at all.

I love having such a nicely designed option to ditch the plastic razors I've used before and the shave is so close and smooth! Just make sure not to apply any pressure (which takes some reminding yourself because all the terrible plastic razors need a little pressure to actually achieve a clean shave).

the razors are high quality and pretty. however this razor is so hard to use and i cant seem to use it without cutting myself in a millions places and coming out in a rash the next day. the shaving foam also brings me out in a rash almost instantly and isn’t efficient for shaving. nice idea but not for me. wouldn’t recommend xxx

Hi. I was happy to receive my order looked great, but I was not so happy when using the razors. Cut myself down one leg.. must just be to heavy handed. So not for me. The shaving cream is not the best.

I bought this razor to try and be more eco friendly and little did I know I would find the best razor out there! It gives such a close shave and the shave cream I bought with it has the most gorgeous scent. My package got lost in the mail at first but after contacting customer service and speaking with a wonderful person called Blayne, I got sent out another with some extra blades for free as an apology! I definitely recommend this company and their products!

Great razor! I was really scared as I've seen a lot of people saying they've cut themselves so I was really worried, BUT it's so good. I've never cut myself at all, I'm getting much quicker now (it is slower than plastic ones at the beginning, at least it was for me when I was panicking🤣) and the shave is amazing. The best part? The refills are so cheap! Pack of 100 is around £8 on Amazon, I change them every 4 shaves.
They're also so easy to clean out so you don't get your hair stuck any more which stops you from shaving.
I'll definitely not use anything else ever again!

Love this product. 100% gets a better shave. Also love the sustainability side of it. Only downside is that it is easier to cut yourself- but feel this is something that will become easier to avoid with practice

A great shaving experience. Truly plastic free in delivery. Gives a very clean shave. Though you do have to be careful as it is easier to cut yourself, I prefer the finish.

I always used mens razors as I have dark, quite thick hair and found that women’s disposable razors just didn’t do the job - didn’t have a close shave and I was usually left with irritation. From switching to the Lane44, all this changed. This razor gives such a close shave and literally leaves me with no irritation at all! It was a bit daunting using it the first few times but once I got the hang of it, I wouldn’t look back. So not only am I getting the best shave ever, this brand is also doing their bit for the planet by reducing plastic - 10/10 would recommend!

I’ve found my experience with Lane 44 brilliant. I’ve been using this razor for abit over a year now, and I can’t imagine how much waste of disposable ones I have saved by using this razor. It gives such a close shave and doesn’t give me razor bumps! I’ve recommended it to all of my friends and convinced a few to convert from the disposable razors! I’ve also found the customer service great.

Although the environmental side of this is great, I am afraid this razor is not the style for me! I’m too clumsy and have only used it once as I cut my legs so badly I now have scars.

The best eco purchase I’ve made so far! I absolutely love my razor. Having read a few reviews (not just this brand) I was a bit nervous about cutting myself with it but I’ve been using it for weeks now and haven’t cut myself once and I wouldn’t say I’m overly cautious with it either. I can whip around my legs in minutes. I find it so easy to use, gives a perfectly close shave with no irritation and I love how convenient it is, always being there. I bought one for my friend for Xmas too. Great product and great customer service.
