Good teacher, grades improved
The first contact was very helpful to understand my child’s needs and find the adequate tutor. The communication with the tutor is easy, Together the tutor and my child agree on a date and time for the following lesson, they are flexible to adapt each other agenda. And the more important, the lessons seem to be well organised, my son is enjoying them despite his dislike for the subject, and his grades improved after two months of tutoring.

Exceptional support when it mattered most
“When my son was preparing for his IB Diploma, Lanterna became an invaluable partner. From coordinating multiple tutors across five subjects to finding a last-minute English tutor just days before his exams, the team was always responsive, solution-focused and genuinely caring.
The tutors were exceptional — each brought real expertise, flexibility and a personal touch that made a huge difference to my son’s confidence and results.
What stood out most was how Lanterna handled pressure. When we needed help urgently, they delivered. When we needed to adapt the plan, they adapted with us.
My son passed his IB Diploma and we couldn’t be prouder. Lanterna played a real part in that success and I would recommend them without hesitation to any parent navigating the IB journey.”

After a long and unforgettable IB…
After a long and unforgettable IB journey, my daughter achieved a top 1-2% IB Diploma result this July. Looking back, there is one thing I especially want to do publicly: thank her tuturs.
Although we have already thanked them privately, i believe they deserve public recognition as well. Every tutor we met through Lanterna was not only academically outstanding but also remarkably patient, encouraging, and generous with their time. They helped my daughter grow into a stronger and more independent learner. We feel incredibly fortunate that such exceptional former IBDP students became her mentors.
My sincere thanks also to Lanterna's director and the entire team for their powerful execution power. As I write this review, the old song Lili Marleen comes to mind, with its image of a lantern shining through the darkness. It feels like a fitting symbol. Throughout our IB journey, Lanterna was one of those lanterns - offering guidance, reassurance, and light whenver the road became difficult.
To every family beginning the IB journey, I can wholeheartedly recommend Lanterna. Thank you for helping make this wonderful outcome possible.

Mr. Manoj Ambekar’s
The lesson was on point and intuitive, it helped me grasp concepts from my math class that I had largely missed due to absence. The teacher was helpful when I asked questions and the page used for lessons works well.

IB Math AA tutoring
My tutor, Eleni Tzanakaki, whom I got in touch with through Laterna Education has helped me understand the subject (IB Math AA SL) in much more depth and has helped me achieve two grades higher than my predicted. Eleni took the time needed to explain everything properly and we did many practise questions so I could be best prepared for my exams. My tutor was patient, yet determined to help me improve, which I definitely did thanks to her.

IB Physics
I contacted Lanterna in my daughter's final year of the IB programme and I only wish I had contacted them sooner!
From the start, they took care to identify my daughter's needs and to match her with the most appropriate Tutor.
Our experience with her tutor was overwhelmingly positive. His level of dedication went above and beyond the call of duty.
Lessons were well prepared and constructive feedback was consistently given.

Lanterna English tutoring
I used lanterna for English tuition which helped me improve my grade to a 7 in just 1.5 months before the exam from a 5/6. My tutor Kirsty Ward was really great at breaking things down into smaller more understandable pieces which allowed me to improve both my paper 1 and paper 2 writing. I would really recommend both lanterna and Kirsty as they’re service was extremely useful.

Excellent Teacher
Miss Arooj is an excellent IB teacher/tutor/facilitator especially in key subjects to the Middle Years Program, such as Individuals and Societies as well as the inter-disciplinary unit. Her teaching style makes sure that each and every student she works with feels heard and understood before developing and providing guidance on a path that would benefit the students

Amazing Teacher!
Ms. Aruj was one hands down of the best teachers I could ask for during my MYP journey.
In subjects such as IDU and Personal Project where nothing seemed to make sense, she always made sure to thoroughly explain everything by going an extra mile. Her teaching style is both interactive and engaging which I found it to be one of the best ways to make sure a student understands a topic. I was able to secure a 6/7 in both IDU and Personal Project which could not have been done without her help!
I recommend her to others as she's a fantastic teacher!
