AVOID, misleading, not accessible or safe

My husband and I were really disappointed when attending your event the Nottingham event, firstly the event was not accessible for disabled people which was not mentioned prior to attending. The event was badly organised, there were no signs for queueing or where to go once arriving at the venue, it's horrendous having to queue for long periods of time for entry and then queue again for lantern kit collection. There was quite a lack of help and people advising because they didn't know many details. There was poor information given beforehand- email told us to arrive at 5.30pm and we were not told what time lanterns are released, when asking staff they said between 9-10pm so we ended up having to pay all day parking at £7.20 and then leaving before releasing the lantern because of not being informed in the ticket email.
We saw multiple people leaving because they also weren't happy with not being told a time for releasing lanterns and being told to arrive hours earlier due to 'traffic flow'. They should have informed everyone in the email that we can arrive at any point not make it feel like we didn't have a choice; not have told us that 'you are scheduled to arrive at 5.30pm' because I thought this was our time slot. I am 8 months pregnant and it was so difficult to stand that long and queue multiple times especially for the very few portaloos that were there.
Additionally there was nowhere safe to release the lanterns anyway as it was sloped and the bank was covered in stones so people can slip easily and there was no lighting to release them safely in the dark without falling so we didn't bother. It was such a shame that our evening felt ruined and we didn't release our lanterns despite paying a lot of money (£53 for 2 tickets is not money we had spare to waste on a poor event). VERY MISLEADING! We emailed the company twice to complain and get a refund but didn't ever hear back and it's been 3 weeks.

AVOID THIS

This event was not what we expected at all. The advertising was very misleading. It mentioned a fair, but all that was there was a single dodgems ride. The food situation was just as disappointing — only four stalls, most of which seemed to be run by the organisers themselves, and the food was both overpriced and poor quality. Definitely not the “wide variety” we were promised.

The lantern release was also extremely disorganised. It was supposed to happen at 7:30pm, but nothing started until well after 8:45. There were no clear instructions, people were left crowding together on uneven rocks in the dark, and there was hardly any lighting to see what you were doing. Instead of being a calm, magical experience, it felt rushed and unsafe, with security hurrying everyone along.

AVOID!!!!!!!!!!

I was really disappointed with this event. It was advertised as having a fair, but in reality, it was just a single dodgems ride. The “wide variety” of food stalls turned out to be only four, most of which were run by the organisers themselves. The food was poor in quality, overpriced, and definitely not what was promised.

The main attraction—the lantern release—was also poorly organised. It was advertised as happening at 7:30pm, but didn’t start until around 8:45 at the earliest. When it finally did happen, there was no clear process or guidance. People were crammed onto rocks, pushing and crowding, which felt unsafe. There was almost no lighting in the area, so it was difficult to even prepare the lanterns properly. To top it off, security rushed everyone along, which made the whole experience feel chaotic and stressful instead of magical.

Overall, the festival was very misleading, poorly managed, and not worth the money.

Waterlanternshowuk SCAM

Please update the name - it is water lantern show uk

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. we got there after traffic was backed up down the road, people standing around attempting to move traffic but no high vis or compentent Marshalls anywhere. This was the Coventry event on 9th August and they completely oversold the event

8 toilets between around 600 people. You had to queue for lanterns, 1 burger van with 1.5hour queue. Not scenic in the slightest, everyone packed in like sardines around the back of a campsite with a large plastic horse, cow, UFO and abandoned fun train

Completely ignored requests for refunds and deleted everyone’s comments on their Instagram posts

We went in good faith and looking…

We went in good faith and looking forward to the event in Warwickshire heart of England conference centre
We were told that we couldn't bring food or drink in as there was street food and various vendors.
Not quite true ,there was one burger van and a stand selling tea, coffee that was broken.
There were 1000s there and the queue for food to the one burger van was 300 long..
They waited hours.
My wife is diabetic, we couldn't get sweet tea or food and had to leave the sham of an event.
Be mindful as they are getting as many people there and cashing in .
We have photos and videos of chaos not tranquility
Be warned

Very disappointing and poorly…

Very disappointing and poorly organised. left after an hour. Not magical at all. False advertising, there were no street food stalls as promised just one burger van, but not allowed to take own food. Also advertised live music but there was none of this either. Had booked to do paint and sip but the poor lady was already an hour behind starting as the organisers had not fulfilled what they had promised. Asked to speak to organiser but told they weren’t on site. This is a real scam

Atrocious!!

Atrocious!!! Ultra mega rip off!!! Literally a massive scam! This “company” should be investigated and shut down.

1 food van very small selection, 1 bar, 8 toilets for about a massive crowd of people. Over sold, over priced and epically under provisioned!

Disgusting practice!!!! Foul utter con artists. One day when something awful happens to you? Know that it’s just karma and you deserve it!!!!

No not support these vile scum bags!

Shambles

There was no itinerary , no music , no fun atmosphere, expensive food , everyone looked unhappy , had to wait in line for about half an hour for a helium balloon on some string. One redeeming thing is the release of all the lanterns did look very nice. If you like just want to see a release of lots of lights in the sky then I would recommend, other than that was a terrible experience and would not recommend it.
