The laptop (which was "open box") was in absolutely superb condition and an amazing deal. Communication was good but sometimes took around 24 hours to respond (which is fine - I was just nervy in case things didn't work out). Dan was also very helpful in carefully scheduling the delivery. If I ever need a new laptop again (this one is a powerhouse) I will use Lapodo if they have the right stock.

I thought long and hard about which laptop to buy - about my tenth in the last 25 years. I wanted a high spec high speed laptop with an high capacity SSD. But at around £2500 on the highly rated Dell XPS15 direct from Dell, I did a bit of surfing to see if there was a better place to buy this particular model. I started to look at the re-seller route and having made around 500 successful purchases through EBay over many years I was pleased to come across an Authorized Dell Re-Seller called Lapodo. I rang them and spoke to Daniel who runs this small family business and liked what I heard. So much so that I immediately made by biggest ever purchase via EBay buying a refurbished Dell XPS15 at a fantastic saving of £700 over the new Dell Direct price. My decision was also based on the Dell 3 Year Warranty which was included!
I have, in the last 18 months, since receiving my pristine XPS from Lapodo had two or three very helpful telephone calls to Daniel to discuss different things and have found his advice with a personal touch very professional. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Fantastic experience from order to setup! It’s rare nowadays to find merchants that try extra hard, but Daniel was amazing and got my new Alienware delivered in less than 24h! Can’t praise thwm enough, will gladly come back for more!!

Saw that Lapodo had a high end £1k+ laptop and called to enquire about condition, warranty etc. Spoke to Dan who talked me through the warranty procedure and assured me that the laptop would be immaculate.

He sounded like a nice trustworthy person, so I placed the order and received the laptop the very next day in brand new condition - there was no way of telling it from a new item other than it wasn't wrapped in cellophane and was considerably cheaper than anywhere else I could see the same model and spec item elsewhere.

I would absolutely use Lapodo again without hesitation and would certainly recommend them to anyone else.

I was looking for a 15" Alienware laptop and I narrowed down to Lapodo based on specs and price on ebay.

So I called and spoke to Dan. This was great because I was able to discus further the laptop configuration I was after. He also gave advises on the different configurations available not listed that match what I was looking for. All this and willingness to talk over a few phone calls and days assured me I was in the right hands.

Laptop was posted out on a next day delivery service and I am now a proud owner of a mint looking Alienware

PS. The price was also considerable less than what I would have paid on the dell outlet site

I have used Lapodo twice now for purchasing my business laptops. After talking to Daniel I had full confidence in him and his products.
Great customer service and extremely helpful through out the whole process.
I will only buy my laptops for Daniel in the future, highly recommended.

I have been trying to contact them since last week to spend over £1000 in their shop but although I had sent a message from ebay, 2 emails, left 2 answer phone messages with my phone number since last week and 8 phone calls today 19/1/17 at different time of the day but nobody got back in touch with me.... I wonder if this had happened to you how would you feel ?! I don't want to be rude as I don't know the reason but this is unexpectable from a business so I hope they can come up with a reasonable replay or I and anybody else who will read this message will have a very bad opinion about this company and word will spread...

My update 20.02.2017.

My Issues have now been resolved;
Lapodo offered me a choice of a full refund or to keep the machine and a partial refund plus a gesture of goodwill. Which I agreed.

Whilst I do not believe that Lapodo went out of their way to deceive me,
I do feel they need to fully understand the implication of selling something that is “new” and their responsibility to their purchaser. It is their responsibility as the seller to deal with it and in my case they finally did, however I did feel that they put too much faith in Dell sort it out .

I have changed my star rating to three stars based on my genuine experience. Lapodo are a small family business, I personally have nothing against them and all I can say is that they need to triple check anything they get from Dell. I have no doubt that Lapodo have now learnt from this experience. The only negative is that I do think it could have been dealt with much quicker, but again hopefully that is a lesson learnt.
I am somewhat amazed but not surprised that a Dell partner was let down by Dell.
After everything that has happened I do still wish this company every success. I am grateful that the matter is finally resolved.

I find it absolutely amazing that I posted this review and still had no response. Personally I have never come across having to use a companies details to register a PC for the warranty, so obviously something is very wrong and I probably have my answer that it was never new. My mistake for not picking up on it in the first place, but it was very convincing at the time. I will be passing on this to my local trading standards. New is defined as no previous owners and never used. what an experience.

It also makes me wonder how may of the machines being sold are actually new as I only found out by chance when I had a problem and then went to Dell. It was a senior manager at Dell that informed me that my machine was a refurb and not new. Whilst they may have good feedback on eBay perhaps people should check their machines with Dell.

This company Lapodo specialise in Dell Systems, I Found the company through EBay and gave them a call. I agreed a price for the system and collected it. I was assured that these were brand new and unused. Unused to me means something that has not been pre-registered or had a previous owner. Even on the company's listings on EBay it clearly states which systems are refurbished and which ones are new.

Unfortunately I had a problem a week or so later and I contacted Dell to see if they could assist me, this was an uphill struggle all the way even when I remotely handed the system over to them on several occasions they still could not sort out the problem. I did speak to Lapodo and they did offer to sort it out if I took it back. But due to the time frame and distance I decided to give Dell another try.

Once again they could not sort it out and the senior manager gave me attitude. He then informed me that the system I had purchased was not new and had previously been owned by someone else and was a refurbished system which originally had windows 8.1 on it. I was certainly not impressed by this.

As I have had Dell systems before I know that Dell will not transfer any warranty unless you have the previous owners details, So is this system 3 owners as I had to use Lapodo's details to transfer the warranty.. I think someone is having a laugh here and seems rather dishonest.
I did sort the system out myself in the end, I did call Lapodo and left a messages but never had my call returned. Overall not very impressed.

Word of warning if you do buy anything check everything first before you hand your money over, you may want to call Dell first .

Brilliant PC and price. It was delivered quickly and perfect. The seller was really helpful all through the sale. Highly recommended
