First of all

First of all, reading the comments I must have been lucky. I bought a pedestal oscillating fan from Walmart made by Lasko. So far it works great. What I wanted to praise in this review was how simple it was to assemble. My hat goes off to the person or persons that thought that up. Great job!

BUILT-IN OBSOLESCENCE: TERRIBLE COMPANY!

BUILT-IN OBSOLESCENCE: TERRIBLE FAN with TERRIBLE REMOTE CONTROL: Lasko sells poor-quality remote controls with their products, specifically Remote Control #2033654B. Remote Control #2033654B is sold with several of Lasko's products, specifically Item 1843, Item 3540, Item S18924, Item 2546, Item 1844, Item S18625, Item 3542. This particular remote control is EXTREMELY flimsy and VERY poorly made. It falls apart rapidly -- usually within one year. I should know, I have 3 of them -- ALL 3 HAVE FAILED! When your remote falls apart/fails, Lasko will then force you, their loyal customer, to purchase another one knowing full well that it will fall apart yet again, causing the customer to yet again pay money for yet another one. If/when customer calls Lasko, the customer is given the runaround with various phone prompts. If the customer is lucky enough to get an actual customer rep on the phone, that rep will tell the customer, "Tough luck! Buy another one or get lost." Lasko has joined the ranks of all the other A&&hat companies in America that love to screw over Americans by making products with built-in obsolescence; as a result, I do not recommend Lasko products to anyone on the planet. SHAME ON LASKO -- DISPICABLE!

My Lasko pedestal oscillating fan…

My Lasko pedestal oscillating fan stopped working- the power button seems cracked-(there has been no accidental trauma to the power button!). My chat with customer service Annette was the worst experience ever! I followed her suggestion to "reset of the fan" which didn't work. Then she said "she was excusing herself from the chat". What Customer Service agent leaves the chat without completely resolving the issue?? Obviously this is an off-shore call center with non-English speaking staff. If the script they follow doesn't resolve the issues, they quit!

HORRIBLE

I purchased a Super Deflator from this company in March 2021 and I still haven't received it. They took the money out of the account but haven't sent the item to me. Called customer service and was on hold for 24 min only to be hung up on without ever a word said! Not a trusting company!!

Horrible heaters

I had recently bought a Lasko heater to help heat my bedroom because my fireplace needs a new fan. The heater I got had a thermostat setting for both high and low heat, which is what I wanted. Well, I didn't get that. The thermostat sucks and if it wasn't heating the room up too much, it wasn't turning on at all, leaving the room to get rather chilly. I returned it and tried again thinking it was just faulty but nope. The second heater is the same way. I looked up reviews for this heater and many had the same complaints and others were scary. Sadly, the bad reviews didn't stop at the model I had.

I purchased two Lasko FH500 tower…

I purchased two Lasko FH500 tower heaters with fan and remotes in October 2020. Both heaters went bad after only two months use. melted down at the bottom where the heating element is and one had a fan blower gave out. The owners manual gave a cust. service number to call Lasko for product problems. When i called Lasko cust. service a recording said they are no longer taking any phone calls and refered me to an email contact form to fill out and Lasko rep would email back right away on a chat line. They first asked for all the info about the order and proof of purchase. I immediatly returned all info back via email chat. From that point on no one ever responded again. I sent email after email with no answere. I then called Home Depot where i had ordered them from and got a friendly women that ordered two replacements and had them to me in one day. We unpacted both units only to find both Lasko heaters were defective right out of the box. One had no electric life at all. Four bad defective Fh500 heaters. Do not purchase any of these heaters or any Lasko product as they are junk, and Lasko Customer Service is a joke. I have never heard from Lasko.com again. Unbelievable experience.

Remote used 5X...now

Remote used 5X...now, defective. I spent 40 minutes troubleshooting with Manufacturer. They will not replace remote. I read other comments where remote was defective after being lightly used. Manufacturer feels no obligation to replace. My fan was model A20700.

No customer service, no real warranty

I bought the simplest 20" box fan at Walmart made by Lasko. My last box fan lasted over 15 years. I also bought groceries at Walmart and I threw away the receipt. What could go wrong with a box fan?

It broke after 9 months. No reason. Wrote Lasko Customer Service. No response in 3 days. Called Lasko. No real prompt for general customer service and warranty handling. Never knew if I was in the right path. Waited for 20 minutes due to "unusually high call volume". Gave up, left a message to get a call back. When? They called 96 minutes later. I called again, left a message, They called again 74 minutes later, I missed it. Impossible. They finally called back when I had my phone, the next day. Still no emails received.

Embossed on the metal frame of my "new" fan was 2015, 4 years ago, 3 years from when I bought it. Evidently it was shuffled around in Walmart inventory. Did I know this, of course not. So, w/o receipt, w/ old invetnory, I am out of luck.

No realy concerns of why this fan broke in the first place, but they were concerned that I used it outdoor, exposed to "The Elements" What elements? Outdoor air? Yah, its a fan? That's what fans do, move air around, often from the outside. What kind of element causes a fan blade to break off? Doubt it! Excuses. Oh, and no model number on the fan itself or on the box it came on. So, what is their first question to the consumer...What is the Model number?

They DO NOT WANT to help you. One star is misleading, it implies some effort. They go out of their way to make it difficult.
