Love their story, their history and their plants.

I really like this company on many levels. They are a nice family with a great story behind their nursery. Their website, while a bit dated in terms of functionality (e.g. no waitlist ability, no way to mark favorites, etc), makes up for all that with a very comprehensive list of plants and information about each one, which is very helpful. Sometimes the plant description excludes a few important things like amount of shade or sun, water amount, etc, but most include those things and you can always search for that info elsewhere. I love reading their plant descriptions, very informative and often funny- you can relate to them!
Besides some website upgrades I wish they'd consider (especially the ability to get notified when a plant you want that is out of stock is back in stock- VERY important, since you don't really want to check every day), the only other complaint is that often what they refer to as a "gallon" sized plant, is really only the size equivalent to a quart size plant. They can be very tiny. Their website's pictures of their nursery shows appropriate gallon sized plants but those are often NOT the size I get. Some are so tiny, they are only about 4 inches tall! And, I wish they'd ship them the way other online nurseries do- upright and in individual sections in a box, not laying down in a box, piled on top of each other. I don't live in the same state as the company but I do live on the West coast so it doesn't take too long for them to get to me but even then, some of the plants have broken limbs and are pretty roughed up looking since they are just kind of laying on top of each other in a box with no support whatsoever.
With that said, most of the plants I've gotten from them have bounced back. Some have since died for some unknown reason, but most are hanging in there. I expect some deaths from plants- just a fact of life. :)
All in all, I really do like this company and will continue to support them. I appreciate all their native plants. Very rare to find anymore.
