Just a warning for anyone considering using this insurance provider. We've had a policy with them for our healthy 4 year old dog for just under a year and have just been informed they will be increasing our premium by over 26%! So be aware, while they might seem okay value to begin with, this will not last long.

I have submitted a claim on Sunday morning. Befire lunch time the reimbursement was already available at my account. Fantastic.

They've been lovely with their support before I was a customer and helped me better understand the offerings. Being with them for over 6 months now, I've been incredibly happy with the fast claims and wonderful support. Would highly reccommend.

Worst worst worst insurance on the market! Stay away from them! They have low prices, but so are the services!

I had a frustrating experience with them. The team seems completely unaware of what constitutes an illness. My cat was labeled as ill simply because I took her to the vet for a routine check-up because she threw up one time! When I asked for clarity on their definition of an illness, I received no helpful information - with this I mean they fully ignored my question.

To make matters worse, I was informed that if my cat vomited even once, they would not provide coverage for 24 months for anything vomiting related.

Cats do occasionally vomit - hello hairballs - and that does not mean they are ill!

This policy feels unfair and inconsistent. I cannot recommend this insurance based on my experience.

I am absolutely disappointed with this insurance. Firstly, because of the lengthy claim reimbursement process. Secondly, unlike other insurance companies, you have to contact your vet clinic yourself to request documents every time, which is quite inconvenient. Thirdly, Lassie always seems to find a reason to reject the claim, and only after an appeal can you finally receive your reimbursement.

Another concern is that they initially refused to reimburse my dog's anal gland cleaning, stating it's not a disease. But once they changed their policy to start reimbursing it, they claimed it was a pre-existing condition, saying my dog had this 'disease' before I signed the contract with Lassie. It’s incredibly inconsistent and feels manipulative how they handle these definitions.

I'm now seriously considering canceling my pets' contracts and switching to a more expensive insurance provider (like Barmenia or Agila) just to avoid the headache of dealing with claims every single time.

I used to be insured with Agila, but unfortunately their new price increases, made try another insurance company. So I moved to Lassie, influenced by the positive reviews. One month has passed since I sent a vet bill and still no refund (which has been approved).
I am not satisfied by how slow the refunds are done here. By the end of the contract, I might move back to Agila, despite the increase.

I took this insurance after reading alot of positive reviews. But i really had a very bad experience. There comes new conditions and excuses when i asked for a claim. I paid the whole year insurance aswell and almost paid every Bill myself whenever my cat was sick. For me this insurance is a No-Go. Mostly the claim is rejected due to different reason or paid only a small amount. So when I have to pay mostly on my own then why do I need an insurance. The condition are mostly too tight.

I highly recommend this insurance company. I got my money back two days after I filed an insurance claim.

Edit: Updating that we’ve received the payment. Moving to 4 stars, still deducting one for the payout being such a hustle and taking weeks. I hope this is not the regular process/timeline and future interactions will be more user-friendly and fast.

We’ve submitted a simple invoice on Jan 27th. There’s nothing curious about the invoice, standard examination for our dog which is very clearly covered by the policy as they also confirmed multiple times over before we purchased the policy. It’s been a month and the status is still pending. We do pay on exact day for months now but when it’s time for them to pay, they take their sweet time. At this point I’m not even sure if they will pay or if we are scammed.

First I need to share a horrible experience with GetSafe insurance for you to understand. I was sold an insurance policy with GetSafe for my dog under the indication that they would cover my best friend for vet bills in an emergency. After a dog attack (and 700EU later), 6 weeks after lodging the claim, I didn't hear from them. I had to hound them to give me an update which I received a rude reply saying "contacting us will just make your claim take longer". After calling, I then was told that they could not cover me because there was no coverage for my dog in that instance (even when I had called them on the day of the incident and they advised I would be covered).

Enter the greatness that is Lassie Pet Insurance! After being burnt by GetSafe, I was looking for the best insurance provider for dogs and multiple websites advised Lassie was the best. The website was easy to understand so I went through to get a quote for my bestie!

This is where I met Nina on webchat. She was able to not only answer all of the questions I had (I had many) but also empathised with me on my situation.

She was able to give me advice on what to do and gave me some information on what to expect from my policy.

The app is brilliant and the coverage is comprehensive and fair - the price point is great too.

Most insurers don't cover pets over a certain age, not Lassie - that's when you know this insurer actually cares about animals. While Charlie isn't this age yet, I know he is in safe hands after reading my coverage, interacting with Nina and seeing their mobile app.
