Shane and the team know their stuff! Friendly and efficient. Shane is good at explaining what work is done and why. Equally what work will be required. Good advice on day to day care and clear communication around appointments.

I have just had my six monthly check up with Heather and Lisa and must say that it is always a pleasure to visit the practice. From the friendly and efficient reception staff through to complex dental work advised by Heather there is nothing too much of a problem for this great team. I am a long term client of this practice for 20 plus years and really should have written this review before now. I know that a visit to the dentist is not everyone’s idea of a fun day but the Heather and Lisa team always make my visit a relaxing experience.

I find Lauriston Dental Care to be an honest, principled practice with very high standards, friendly professional staff in pleasant welcoming premises. I like how treatments, procedures & suggestions are described in understandable terms, the reassuring air of consistency and range of possible options. I have had excellent dental care from Dr Shane and the team for 10 years now - which says it all really.

Went to have an extraction. Oliver made plenty time to explain the ins and outs of the procedure. Once he was satisfied that I was happy to go ahead he very sympathetically carried out the operation. Didn’t feel a thing. Considering what I went in for I couldn’t fault the service.

One of the best dental treatments I've had (others also by Heather!). Filling in a front tooth had to be replaced. Tooth was almost transparent in places. Beautiful job - can no longer feel any filling at the back. Such care taken to ensure slight gaps between teeth are retained. My front teeth look great - thank you so much, Heather!

Myself and my husband have been going here for years, the service we receive is excellent, prompt ,courteous and always willing to talk through options. Giving the patient choice and control over their dental care.The reception staff and dental Nurses are all very professional and helpful.

Extremely professional and friendly practice. All the staff are very accommodating and helpful. Heather, my dentist, is very skilled and takes the time to explain all treatment options and takes a sensible view - that said, she managed to save a front tooth of mine that was in terrible shape (and had broken several times) so is not risk averse, just very good at judging what is possible. I've also seen Shaun who again is highly skilled and also takes a patient centred view with none of the upselling that some dentists tend towards. The nurses are also clearly highly trained and friendly. I have no hesititation in recommending this practice and just wish I'd moved to it sooner.

I've been a client of Shane for decades, with interruption when I lived abroad. I appreciate that he has always given great advice. He is very trustable. I highly recommend Shane and the team.

I have been attending for many years and have always found Shane ...and occasionally other dentists ..very helpful in addressing any problems speedily and in giving me advice. The hygienists too are very helpful; and the receptionists very responsive and accommodatiing when I phone.

Superb, expert attention from Heather. I arrived at the surgery fully expecting the extraction of a molar, broken by my careless chewing of nuts. Heather reassured me that the tooth could be rescued. Her calm, confident manner instantly put me at ease and I am so extremely pleased with the end result. Excellent, professional, reassuring service.

Shane is a top class dentist who always explains what the problem is and what he is going to do to rectify it.

I’ve been with this dental surgery since it started at Lauriston. Heather and the team are all very professional, friendly and caring. Their communication is great with reminders being sent out before appointments.

Having been a patient for 30 years I can highly recommended Lauriston Dental Care. My current "Team Teeth" are Heather, Lisa and Emma. They are great, make you relaxed, explain everything in detail and go that extra mile to get everything just right.

Heather has been my dentist now for a good few years. In that time, as well as check ups and scaling, I’ve had root canal treatment which went very smoothly and more recently teeth whitening with great results. It’s obvious Heather cares about her patients.She takes the time to listen and to explain everything. She has a knack of making you feel like you’re her only patient which in this day and age is priceless.

I have been using Shane as my dentist for a very long time and have always been more than happy with the fantastic treatment I've received. There is always a warm and relaxed welcome from Shane and the rest of the staff and this continues in the treatment room. Shane is very good at explaining what he is about to do whether it be check-up, cleaning, or other work, and makes me feel very relaxed when in the chair. The practice does not pressure you to have treatments that are not necessary, but gives good, honest advice and opinions. My treatment have always been exceptional.

I got an appointment within 24 hours of breaking my tooth which was very efficient. Heather treated me well as a patient and did a good job of restoring my tooth . I did not have to pay as much as I had feared.

A relaxed 30 minutes to have a filling. It was explained to me what the problem was and how it was going to be resolved.
