Bad experience with Lava Events in Dallas, Texas.

Since I haven’t seen any sort of reviews or information on this company, I’m going to be the first to write one for the people who are planning on applying to work for them.

After submitting my application, I was invited to schedule a video interview. However, I was not informed that this would be a group interview with 12 other candidates. The group was later split into smaller breakout rooms, where I was interviewed alongside three other applicants.

During the interview, we were asked which role we thought suited us best — a confusing question, considering we had already applied for specific positions. Compensation was explained as $400 for 31 hours of work, with the potential to earn an additional $150–$200 per customer signed on through product sales. This commission-based structure was not clearly mentioned upfront and seemed unusual for the type of role I applied to.

After completing a detailed post-interview questionnaire, I was contacted and offered the job the same day. However, after this, communication from the company stopped entirely. I never received a follow-up email, orientation details, or even the office location. I attempted to follow up via email, but received no response. I also tried researching the company online, but could not find any verified address or substantial information about them.

Interestingly, after I posted an initial review online, a representative called me the next day to ask about my experience and availability. Later, they called again and implied they had identified me as the person who posted the review. They offered a reference and emphasized that their company “has no bad reviews.”

Given the lack of communication, transparency, and online presence, I strongly caution anyone considering employment with this company. In my opinion, it’s best to proceed with care and do thorough research.
