Update: As we can read from the other comments they harassed me to pay, because they were going bankrupt and probably trying to cash in as much as they could from clients from a year ago. I hope that the money they got for free from me at least helped the payroll.
Regardless of what they responded below, they sent me a bill for their "services". There IS a risk for you as a client, you have to pay a commission. Not only did they did a poor job by not getting in touch with their client (me) for an entire year, but they fail to admit it and they also want to charge me. It seems that the agent in charge of my case totally forgot about this, and in January 2021 remembered and tried to push their numbers.
The customer support agent sent me a bill after publishing this review. Not once did they call me back, and their phone line disconnects you after a waiting time.
I submitted a service request in December 2019, with most of the paperwork that was asked of me. I even talked to someone on the phone in English, he was friendly. As soon as I sent the request, they sent an e-mail requesting a payment to the real estate company that handles my rent. Only that. Then I got an e-mail from a colleague of them (in German), and I responded in English. I never heard back from them for all of 2020. Update: see below on their response saying that "these are stressful times for everyone and a e-mail could go unread"...for a year?
What happened was: my landlord reacted negatively to this automatic e-mail and they made us pay the repair costs. Our relationship wasn't the best, but from there on it worsened.
January 2021, the colleague writes me again (in German) requesting me to sign some papers. They "just realized" that they were missing a signature from the other person renting the apartment. I told them that they failed to follow-up and that I was no longer interested in the matter. Their response: "oh the e-mails you wrote us didn't enter our system".
They wanted to place a lawsuit against my real estate company under my name, without my knowledge. I told them I wasn't interested nor notified of this. In the response to this review they denied it, but in the e-mail they sent me, they told me they had an appointment with the court.
They are threatening and harassing me with making me pay for a poor service. They are just as bad the people you supposedly are trying to defend yourself from.
Stay away from them if you aren't German nor dominate the language, they take advantage of you.

Auf Deutsch: finger weg, wenn du Ausländer bist und die Sprache nicht beherrscht. Ich habe mir die Leistungen auf Englisch gewünscht, da die deutsche Sprache für Papierkram und "Legal documents" für mich schwierig zu verstehen ist. Ich habe mit einem Kollegen telefoniert, der war nett und hat mit mir auf Englisch gesprochen.
Ich habe die Unterlage versendet, die auf dem Portal gefragt wurden. Automatisch wurde eine Zahlungsaufforderung an meiner Hausverwaltung geschickt, wobei die Sachbearbeiterin unserer Wohnung sehr schlecht reagiert hat. LAWIO hat keine Nachverfolgung gemacht. Ich wurde gefragt bei einer Kollegin, noch Unterlagen zu versenden. Ich habe sie auf Englisch angeschrieben, sie hat keine Rückmeldung gegeben. Wir haben die Reparaturkosten bezahlt, und die Beziehung mit der Hausverwaltung hat sich seitdem verschlechtet.
Keine Rückmeldung in 2020. Jetzt ist es LAWIO "aufgefallen" dass ein Unterschrift für den Abtretungsvertrag fehlt, und die haben micht bisher über E-mail und Telefon bedroht, dies einzureichen. Die andere Person hat keine Interesse mehr auch. Wir haben schon bezahlt.
Statt freundlich zu sein, die Sachbearbeiterin von LAWIO hat micht jetzt bedroht, dass wenn ich nicht diesen Unterschrift einreiche, folgendes passiert:
"Diesbezüglich muss ich Ihnen mitteilen, dass wenn Sie den Fall abbrechen wollen, Sie für die entstandenen Kosten haften."
Update: Ich habe eine Rechnung erhalten fur die Provision (Februar 2021), zufällig nach dem ich diesem Review geschrieben habe.
Keine Nachverfolgung und jetzt werde ich belästigt, die nutzen dich aus. Mein Deutsch ist ganz ok aber nicht für solchen Fallen, aber genügend zu verstehen, dass die wollen unbedingt ein Klage gegen meiner Hausverwaltung ohne meine Kentnniss einreichen. "Und wenn Sie das nicht wollen..."
Noch dazu, die Sachbearbeiterin von LAWIO hat als Ausrede gennant: "Ihre E-mails sind nicht in unserem System eingegangen."
