I placed an on line order with lawsons Letchworth on monday morning around 10.. Around 230 i get a call from lawsons your gate post in your order we dont have 2.1 metre but we will supply a 2.4 length same price thank you. ( thats why i gave 3 star would have been less.) i said to the lady on phone my whole order is down for delivery thursday. Any idear when., will first thing be ok brilliant thank you.. Thursday came not here by 12 i phone office lady checks for my delivery i hear sombody a man say its being loaded now.... The lady returns and says the driver has your delivery he must be delivery yours last instead of first. Sorry.. So when will i expect it now.. ( i over heard then say its being loaded..,) early lunch right ok.. 330 driver turns up hello driver much on this is my second run 2 in letchworth then baldock and you why... Ive just been waiting your office cant seem to tell truth. In my load i have 10 sleepers 2 are split down the middle driver says if your not happy ill take them back hopefully ill be ok to come straight back with them.. Cheers mate thanks for your help really nice guy.. 4 o clock nothing i phone lawsons again lady says sorry lorrys all loaded for tomorrow now have them with you first thing.. Friday i need an extra sleeper ill go and collect in car i get my sleeper and other things. I see the driver who delivered my order yesterday hello sir did you get your 2 sleepers no not turned up yet he says im not doing them he takes me to office were he asked the qustion to which a van driver says im doing them just being loaded now to which a lady turns in here chair and starts telling the driver from my first delivery he shouldn't of said to me about he might able to bring them back.. ( hang on minute wheres customer service what about all the office staff telling me twice first thing... All bull.. As im writing this im still waiting for delivery.. Never again...

Lawsons were so wonderful. They didn't look down their noses because I'm not 'trade' or because I'm a girlie. They gave me personal help and advice. They cut the timber especially for me to fit my requirements. They delivered, even though it was an order of only 4 planks. They went out of their way to deliver to the place I requested. When one of the planks was defective, they delivered a replacement right away.

Great customer service from Tyler always available to answer any questions with great knowledge of the products and always willing to go the extra mile for my company 100% recommend this company and Tyler great price given every time

We have used this Company when it was Herts Timber supplies for a number of years and since being taken over by Lawsons. The service we receive from going to the stores or dealing on line with orders and financial matters has been first class. They are understanding of clients needs with a professional approach.

Since Herts timber got taken over by Lawsons we have noticed a considerable change in staff professionalism , stream line service and overall happy to help model.The extensive services that Lawsons offer has made it our go to building outlet, The staff inside and outside , from DIY to developers like ourselves are always on hand to help.Lianne and James inside the office even answer their calls when they are on annual leave to help us with our projects ! They are a credit to the company .

I’ve been using Lawsons Letchworth for the last 10 years. All staff from the yard to the office are always very helpful. You get a great service because they go the extra mile. They’re especially good if you require bespoke timber. Can highly recommend them to anyone in the trade.
