Razi completely transformed my application and played a major role in my acceptance to medical school. Writing has never been my strongest skill, and I initially struggled to organize my thoughts and communicate my experiences clearly. He helped me clarify my story, highlight the most meaningful parts of my journey, and shape them into a cohesive and compelling narrative. He asked thoughtful questions that brought out my strongest ideas and then worked with me to refine my writing so my voice came through authentically. What started as a scattered draft became a polished statement that truly reflected who I am.

We were looking to apply to a top Private Middle/High School. The application was very competitive as there were only limited spots available for the particular program we were applying for, which is highly specialized in math and science.

Razi walked us through the whole thing and really helped us think strategically about how to frame who our daughter is as a person. She has always been incredibly committed to community service, she's a natural leader, she genuinely cares about the people around her, but we had never really thought to put those qualities front and center in an application like this. Razi saw it right away and helped us build the story around who she actually is, not just what she had accomplished academically.

One thing that really stood out was how seamlessly he could switch between talking through strategy with us as parents and then turning around and having a real, mature conversation directly with our daughter. He never talked down to her, but treated her like someone whose ideas, voice, and writing was the the most important part of the process (which is was!) and it made a huge difference.

Matched at my First Choice

I'm a fourth-year medical student, and I worked with Razi on my residency personal statement. Urology is one of the most competitive specialties — only about 76% of applicants match in any given year — so I knew my statement had to be perfect.

My problem was that I'm a clinical thinker. I could list my strengths, but I couldn't synthesize them into a story that actually reflected who I am. Razi didn't just edit my writing — he sat with me and asked the right questions to pull out things I never would have thought to include. The experience of my daughter's birth, my grandfather's illness, how Jewish ethics shaped my medical philosophy. He prompted me to go deeper into emotions and experiences I would've glossed over, and then helped me integrate my accomplishments in a way that felt natural instead of braggy.

The biggest shift was reframing the whole statement from "why I fit into urology" to "why urology fits into my life." I wouldn't have gotten there on my own. Razi has this ability to see the narrative you can't see yourself, and then walk you through building it piece by piece until it actually sounds like you — just the best version of you.

I matched at my first choice.

Razi was super insightful throughout my college essay writing process. The meetings I had with him were always productive, and I walked away feeling confident in my next steps. Accepted to NYU Stern (MBA) with Razi's Help!

I brought Razi my essays that at first needed lots of work and overall sentence structure, and story development which he was happy to help with. We scheduled a couple of sessions to get through my MBA essays and I ended with more structural, detailed, and grammatically correct essays. Razi worked my with schedule and we were able to coordinate despite being on different time zones. He was on time and we got straight to editing. As we worked on my essays, Razi challenged me to think deeper, outside the box with my essays. He knew what the admissions committee was looking for and brought my essays to that level. From our first session alone, Razi was able to improve on what I currently had and gave great suggestions on how to make it better. I immediately scheduled the next session, and he was able to keep in contact and follow up on the next few sessions. He was also able to schedule meetings day of. Overall, I would highly suggest doing a session with Razi for college essays, or any sort of application. He will help craft a story for your student and do so efficiently.

Razi played an incredible role in helping our daughter get into Penn. He helped her truly realize her deep voice and taught her to be a far more introspective and creative writer in the process. He showed her that the strength of her story was often found in her vulnerability and openness—qualities she carried through to her interviews and other areas of her application as well. We'd worked with a different consulting group before, and the difference is truly incomparable - Razi was the one that helped showcase how special and unique our daughter truly is. We truly cannot recommend Razi enough for college guidance, and we're still so happy she's heading to Penn next year

From the very first session, Chris knew Razi was the right counselor. Chris had very unique ideas but was afraid to even start - he wasn't sure if his story was acceptable or too dangerous. Razi knew exactly what to do with it and how to shape it into something truthful and impactful. Razi showed us how that story could reveal exactly who Chris is - funny and impactful - and the colleges loved it. Beyond the essays, Razi prepared Chris for his Harvard interview, and the interviewer told us Chris was "funny, creative, smart - exactly what Harvard wants." When the acceptances came in, it was the happiest day for our family. Chris is thriving at Harvard now. My advice to other parents: don't hesitate. When you need help, get it from an expert. Razi can help you get there.

Working with Razi, I got accepted to Columbia! Beyond being an insanely fast and efficient editor, Razi has this incredible ability to see depth in moments I thought were totally surface-level. He helped me realize that what I assumed were my strongest points were actually kind of dry, while the personal, emotional parts of my story, the things I thought were maybe too vulnerable, were what actually made me stand out. Through this, I was able to better write activities and select the right recommendation letters to build the strongest case. As someone without any family or friends in any ivies, his insight was invaluable, and I really can't overstate how much he contributed to my acceptance. Razi is honestly the best in the business.
