I engaged LedgerGurus in October 2025…

I engaged LedgerGurus in October 2025 to manage accounting across four business entities, including 3 ecommerce operations running Shopify, Amazon, and Etsy. I paid approximately $43,600 in fees over six months. I am writing this review because I believe other business owners deserve accurate information before making this decision.

The core failure: not a single monthly period was closed across three of my four entities for the entire engagement. Zero closed periods in six months is not a transition issue. It is a failure to deliver the most basic contracted deliverable.

Beyond that, A2X was never properly configured for two entities despite being a documented requirement of those agreements. Sales tax liability was not recorded for one entity for the entire year of 2025. My outside CPA found unreconciled accounts, unattached bank statements, loan payments not split between principal and interest, payroll that cannot be reconciled to source reports, 401k liability structural errors, and a $102,000 journal entry distortion confirmed by the QBO audit trail.

When I raised these issues formally, the response was professionally managed but never acknowledged that the engagement had failed to deliver its contracted scope. No apology was offered. A new $350 monthly fee was introduced mid-dispute for a delivery standard the account manager had verbally committed to at no charge.

Financials were "delivered" only after I issued a formal termination notice — six months of non-delivery resolved within hours of that notice.

I would not recommend LedgerGurus for any operation or ecommerce business with complexity or sophistication. The sales pitch is strong. The execution did not come close to matching it. They have done significantly more harm than good in this engagement and the cost of remediation will be greater than the costs of service.
