Absolutely terrible bank

Absolutely terrible bank, no regard for customers at all, they limit your money, even though its already limited by the DSS ! £200 a day they allow me, even though I go into the branch, after I've paid my bills etc, it leaves me with next to no money for food etc, so I have to wait another day to get my money, it takes me 3 days to get my money, and trying to transfer money takes hours, when all it takes is pressing a button! Avoid this bank at all costs, they are a joke

Don't waste your time

I have been a 'member' for roughly 13 years and never not once have I successfully received ANYTHING from LCU. I've tried to close my account, and unsubscribe from texts, and emails the lot, but they continue to contact me despite over a decade of No's. Waste of time.

Unbelievable and Frustrating

I doubt the integrity of this system as I can't access any app to view what I actually owe them

Despite making regular monthly payments I have been bullied by credit team by asking why have I got pets ?

Why have I gone for holidays ?

Why do I have a positive balance in my bank ?

I mean they should make us aware that if we owe them some money that means we can't have any positive balance in our bank

We can't renovate our house even though it is on credit or installments plan

We can't have pets to support our mental health and have a nice time with them and even feed them

We can't spend any money on holidays

They don't show you what you actually owe £ but keep asking more and more weekly payments (paying regular money alr3ady and I have never missed a payment )

They speak to you in a way they are ready to use every digit of your bank and every word of yours against you

Yes we may need loan but how to increase monthly payments based on a status which is unemployed based on a health which need day to day care and medical assistance

Absolutely daylight robbery force people into more debt and don't care you phone to try resolve the problem which your met with people talking down to you and completely ignoring you or talking over you but then when you do the same they say your been aggressive then hang up then when you phone back you can hear them (AMY) slagging you off round the office how professional. Even the person who answered just said I'm not getting involved!!!

Got there in the end

I had a technical difficulty earlier but when i called back and spoke to somone else it was resolved. So theres allways going to be little issues in organisations. But yes the thing here is i got sorted what i needed and if your not happy first time speaking to somone else later.

So once again there giving the run…

So once again there giving the run around. Promising the money I transferred in would be in by 2.30 pm. Then at 2.45 as I was in the shop I needed the money for I phoned and they said it takes an hour after 2.30. then at 5.30 shop closed no payment could be made and not enough notice to raise money as it wasent a small amount like 20 or 30 pound. But got sorted by a nice lady in customer services so changed my review to 4

What's the point in them

I've not been able to get through on Wednesday. On Thursday they said computers were down so on Friday ime trying to ring again. No answer I goes to my local Middleton branch managing to get there before it closes and it's not even been open because no staff. And we gave to pay a yearly fee for this, not much but good luck if your applying for a loan. This was set up to help the community after the success of credit unions elsewhere. They have all gone down hill and Ile be closing my account when I eventually get a branch that's open or speak to somone or thirdly if the computers are ok and I can use the app tomorrow Saturday but ime stuck today. Not convenient. However thee is a lady in customer service who I think is high up and she is very pleasent if your lucky enough for h wer to ring you back. That warmth and sincerity from that one person iswhy I've kept my account but it won't pay for my shopping and the inconvenience has left me annoyed. If you would have just answered the phones so I didn't have to spend my last money on taxi to make sure I got there before closing time!

Really really slow and high interest rates

Really really slow. Ask for information 2 to 3 times then don`t do anything. Have you chasing them around while they pretend they have called you when they haven't. Then phone you with higher interest rate than the other banks. Applying for a loan with them is not easy as stated.
