Great Movers

They asked me to share my experience, so here we are:
My experience was great. From
The person who answered the phone to the young lady that called me to double check everything before my move and of course the fantastic movers that went to my house. Every one of them was so nice, friendly and professional. My rating is the highest possible.

I really wish someone had warned me…

I really wish someone had warned me before hiring this moving company. The estimate they gave us was completely misleading. We were quoted around $750, but the final bill ended up being $2,000 for a simple two-bedroom move from Boca Raton to Pompano Beach. It took over 13 hours $150 per hour.

The crew clearly lacked experience.

It took them two full hours just to disassemble a queen-size bed.

They didn’t know how to pack a dining table and couldn’t disassemble it until we found a YouTube video for them to follow.

In the process, they broke our TV stand (we had to throw it away) and damaged our Aminach sofa valued at $3,000.

What was supposed to take 3 hours dragged into 13 (9AM to 7PM) hours, and the whole move felt chaotic and unprofessional.

I’m sharing this so others don’t make the same mistake. If you value your furniture, your time, and an honest estimate—look elsewhere.

Hi Victoria,

We’re sorry to hear you feel this way about your move, and we want to clarify a few things for anyone reading your review so they have the full context.

YOU WERE NEVER GIVEN A FLAT RATE QUOTE
You mentioned being quoted $750, but all communication, including text messages we saved, clearly shows the pricing was hourly. You were given a discounted rate of $150/hr, and you acknowledged in writing that the final cost would depend on the total time the move required.

We do offer flat-rate options, but only after an in‑person or virtual walkthrough. You weren’t available for either and provided your inventory from memory while out of town, which meant an hourly estimate was the only accurate and fair approach.

THE TIME SPENT ON THE JOB IS NORMAL FOR A TWO-BEDROOM MOVE.

Your move involved:

- A fully furnished two‑bedroom apartment

- Elevators and building hallways

- Disassembly and reassembly of furniture

- Wrapping and protection of all major items

- Driving from Boca Raton to Pompano Beach

Six hours is well within industry standards for that scope. Your initial expectation of three hours simply didn’t match the actual amount of furniture and work involved.

NO DAMAGE CLAIM WAS EVER FILED.
This is important. You never contacted our office to report any damage, request a claim form, or send photos. Our contract gives customers 60 days to file a written claim so we can inspect and process it through our insurance.

Nearly six months have passed, and this review is the first time we’re hearing about these alleged damages. Without proper documentation or a claim filed on time, we legally can’t investigate or reimburse anything.

MOVERS WORKED CAREFULLY, NOT INCOMPETENTLY.
Some modern furniture has hidden hardware or specialized assembly systems. Taking extra time doesn’t mean the movers were untrained — it means they were trying to avoid causing damage. We would rather work carefully and protect your items than rush and break something.

We understand moving is stressful, and we truly wish your experience felt better. But it’s important for readers to know that the charges were accurate, the hourly structure was clearly communicated in advance, and no damage claim was ever filed with us.

If you’d like to discuss this directly, we’re always open to a conversation.

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT FROM TEXT MESSAGE CONVERSATION.

For anyone reading this review, here are the exact messages exchanged before the move, which show the customer understood the job would take longer and that the estimate was hourly:

🔴 Customer (8:01 AM): “How much would be additional hours? 3 hours not enough. Only travel time is 40 min.”
→ This is the customer acknowledging that the move required more than 3 hours and that travel time alone made a short estimate impossible.

🟢 John (9:16 AM): “Additional hours are $150 an hour. The quote is hourly so you pay for the time it ends up taking at the end.”
→ Clear written confirmation that the pricing was hourly, not flat rate.

🔴 Customer: “$120? No discount?”

🟢 John (9:23 AM): “The normal rate is $165, I gave it a 10% discount and it’s $150 now. $120 would be a company with no insurance, no professional movers… $150 would be the absolute minimum I can offer you.”
→ Customer asked for a lower price, was told no, and accepted the hourly rate.

🔈 These messages show the customer knew the job would take longer than her personal estimate, understood travel alone was 40 minutes, and clearly agreed to the hourly rate. This context matters, and we believe it gives readers a fair and accurate picture of what happened.
