I no longer drive so it has been …

I no longer drive so it has been numerous years since I set foot in the westend Edmonton location but I love that store, there are things you can find there that are relatively cheap little gadgets, I purchased a number of their magnifying lenses, because I knew I was losing my vision and they were very well priced in comparison to similar from CNIB. My experience there had always been good. Line ups can happen anywhere, but they did not take that long, and once you got to the end the staff were always helpful with any questions I had. If I have one complaint it is that many of the items that interest me are not online available, they should consider changing that for those of us who are ot able to just drive on over

You NEED A CELL PHONE !

Their WEBPAGE SHOULD NOT ALLOW YOU TO PLACE AN ORDER WITHOUT A CELLPHONE NUMBER ! They do not have an intercom at the door & there is no signage of any kind . YOU MUST HAVE A CELL PHONE TO PICK UP YOUR PURCHASE . THANKYOU FOR CHEWING ME OUT .

Phone support was horrible

Phone support was horrible. They would not give me the matching part numbers for their products. Literally told me its online go look. I was pissed cause I just explained to him that the part items online do not tell you what the corresponding items are. Ex diffuser cover , channel, clips. I am an electrician so I know exactly what to ask and this guy was lazy and did not help part all.

Refund should be owed!

I ordered fruit fly trap lids that screw onto regular jars. The fruit flies just walk in and out of the holes!!!

Since I didn’t need to use them until recently, I am just past the 90 day refund window but less than 120 days. So the response is “too bad”!!!

REVISED
After some public squawking, they processed a refund. I really like their selection of items. I may give them a try later.

If you want to waste half your day…

If you want to waste half your day waiting around in line to pay, then go to Lee Valley. Spent over 20 mins waiting for them to serve the three people ahead of us, only to be bumped by a guy who missed his number. And the had the person after us get served before us.

I won't be going back into this store. Online order and pickup only, no chance of me browsing and buying extra like today's visit.

Less than happy with Lee Valley

Placed an order on May02/20, it is now May 21/20 and still no shipping info. Item showed available when I placed my order as well as showing availability on my order confirmation. When I contacted them today it was a 20 min wait on hold, then I was told that the online system had made a mistake to several orders. I was informed the item is now not available to ship until some time in early July.
I am extremely less than impressed. This is a huge time gap and absolutely NO communication from Lee Valley to convey this. One would think that a company that is supposed to have a good reputation would do a hell of a better job at keeping their customers informed when they make such big errors.
This is ridiculous and extremely poor customer service.
Not to have this product when I should have received it by now is an issue and to not have it shipped until sometime in July is ridiculous.
Order at your own risk.

Ok return policy even for Norway.

I ordered some tools. Among other things 3 Starretts forged steel squares. Two of these had some very unprecise levels. I had 5-8 emails back and forth with Lee Valley who also contacted Starrett. I made many tests and send pictures of those - Lee Valley seemed to be skeptical about Starrett being less than perfect.

They offered to pay for the transport for new ones, so that is great.
