What exactly is a legal subscription service?
Instead of paying a lawyer by the hour, pay a small monthly or annual fee and get access to a law firm that can advise you on a variety of legal issues—but without a huge bill.
What is covered under the Personal LegalShield Membership?
As a LegalShield Member, you get access to a variety of legal services, in general, including: advice on an unlimited number of personal legal issues, letters or calls made on your behalf, contract and document review (starting at up to 15 pages each) and more. If the basic personal membership doesn’t cover my specific situation, how much will it cost me?
Many day-to-day personal legal issues are covered by the standard membership with no additional fees. If your personal legal issue is not a fully covered benefit, as a LegalShield Member, your Provider Law Firm can consult with you and provide additional referral services necessary to assist you at a discounted rate of the provider lawyer's standard hourly rate.
How can I access my legal team in an emergency?
Access after-hours legal consultation for covered personal legal emergencies such as an arrest or detainment, if you’re seriously injured in an automobile accident, or if you’re served with a warrant. Just call 1-877-825-3797 to speak to a representative 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can also log in to the LegalShield mobile app and select Call Emergency Line to make your call.
What is LegalShield's cancellation policy?
LegalShield is a monthly legal subscription service, and our members have the right to cancel at any time. Per our company policy, all cancellation requests must be provided in writing. The easiest way to cancel is by emailing us at support@legalshieldcorp.com with your name, membership number, phone number, and your request to cancel the membership.
For annual memberships, you may cancel any time after your first 12 months. If you would like to speak to someone about options to maintain your membership, please call as soon as possible to keep any pre-trial hours or other benefits you may have accumulated at (844)-714-8494 between 7-7 CST Monday-Friday, and a member of our team would be happy to help.

Did not provide any services promised
I had forgotten why I was a member years ago and didn't renew. Before reinstating my membership I spoke to a supervisor who answered all my questions and promised they would provide legal assistance for two pressing matters. These both had critical deadlines, one with a court date. The attorneys they referred me to did not follow up, did not even contact me directly; I had to initiate contact with them contrary to what I was told and the partner from the law firm in my state was kind enough to speak to me at least twice over the phone yet also did not offer any assistance. One of the attorneys requested I send documents at two separate times for both matters yet failed to even respond after that knowing I had court dates and critical deadlines. All in all, LegalShield wasted critical time and I ended up not having representation for either matter resulting in one devastating loss. LegalShield continued to call and want me to fill out their surveys and speak to more people people with their company, not attorneys, when they failed to provide what was promised. They continued to consume my time until I told them to stop contacting me and canceled my membership requesting a refund. I believe even though it's been months, the refund for the initial membership as a result of services not provided, may not have been issued yet. I will follow up to ensure that occurs but I believe they are dangerous in promising assistance that they do not provide while letting critical time pass with no assistance to the consumer.

Very disappointed
I joined Legal shield to get help with my protection order and divorce case. I was told that I would get help from attorneys, and that it when I came up with $500 I would be represented by an attorney, this was a lie. A friend borrowed the money so I would not have to go to court without an attorney, but when I paid the money and received the referral to an attorney, I was informed that I had to pay $3,500 to get representation. So I've paid this money into Legal shield for nothing, I still don't have help, I am very disappointed, and I'm honestly tired of people lying to me.
