Legend expeditions organised a faultless, bespoke adventure for a small team from our gym to the UK 3 Peaks. Every single detail was considered and planned to perfection. All you have to do is turn up and get climbing!!! They provide the transport, the food, the encouragement and the camaraderie!! The attention to detail was second to none. Even updating our family and friends with our progress so that we could concentrate on our challenge and rest between mountains. The Legends team Jack, Rory and Sam are very experienced and they make you feel confident and safe at all times. From start to finish I felt in safe hands. The professionalism & attention to detail was second to none. Everything was thought of in advance & all we had to do was climb the mountains. They even kept our family & friends informed of our progress through a WhatsApp group, which took away another worry for us. As hard as the challenge was, the Legends Team made it as easy as possible for us & even helped us have lots of fun. I can’t recommend them enough.

This was an incredible experience, put together by a very experienced team. The Legends team create something special right from the start, sending emails filled with mountain details including background and historic information. As a female I like to know I am safe and in good hands with people that are experienced and know what they are doing which is exactly what the Legend team delivered. Everything had been considered, from what to pack to our travel stops and pacing up the mountains.

The team led from the front and the back, ensuring no one was left behind or got too far ahead. We set off as a team and were able to finish as a team with the help of the Legends teams, giving support with bag carries or walking stick adjustments and lots of banter and motivation. The challenge was hard but the team kept us motivated and moving forward.
Would highly recommend and will be booking other adventures in the future. This is a highly experienced team that provides knowledge, support and fun throughout.

Honestly if I could give the team more stars I would. Absolutely fantastic organisation from start to finish. We did the three peaks challenge and although it was tough the team made it so easy and dare I say even fun! It was everything, like setting up a family and friends WhatsApp group to keep everyone updated on our progress so we were able to focus on the challenge and not worry about letting everyone know how it was going or making sure there was food ready for as soon as we got off the mountain or keeping up morale when it was needed in the early hours of the morning and everything was hurting or ensuring we had the right kit or making sure we took in the views as we were going. I could go on but it really was fantastically arranged and I’m grateful that I could be part of a great event. Thank you!

We have just used Legend Expeditions for our trip to Morocco to climb Mount Toubkal. Jack came to meet us before the trip to go through our kit and we had calls to meet the rest of the group. Once on the ground in Marrakesh Jack organised a guide for the Medina and had many restaurant recommendations for us.

The hike itself was incredibly well organised from guides, food, the refuge(we had our own suite) kit and expertise. The climb was a real challenge but Jack was with us every step of the way. He even had spare kit if we needed it.

Where to start! Perfection throughout. From initial conversations through to the end of the trip, Jack’s personalised service was excellent. Due to an injury I was unable to take part in the climb up Mount Toubkal but was adamant I wanted to travel. Jack put in place a series of alternatives to choose from without hesitation. I’ve been back for two weeks now, and I still cannot get over the amazing trip Legend Expeditions provided. Climbing Kilimanjaro is a bucket list item for many. When you start to gain into it, there is a lot to organise, and there is always a reason not to go on a trip like this – Legend Expeditions remove the stress of planning a Kilimanjaro Summit and do everything to help you enjoy the journey.

What is very visible on the mountain is how Legend treats their team, from climbers to porters as well as looking out for other teams. Jack (the guide and co-founder) would look out for the welfare of other climbers and porters, taking their load at times even when they were not from the same team. Legend’s ethos is very clear. It was great to see the passion for investing in their crew and the local economy.

Legend brings certain luxuries to the climb experience with camp beds, a great supply of fresh food, and even a shower. I was initially concerned that as a vegan I might have limited options, but the team cook went above and beyond to keep me well fuelled with a great variety of dishes. All this helps you enjoy the journey, which despite the luxuries will be challenging at times.

The Legend team builds a great supportive energy. I made new friends with fellow climbers by the time I reached the summit. We all pushed each other on and enjoyed seeing the sun rise as we approached the summit - a memory made for life.

I don’t think I would have been ready to leave Tanzania straight away and had also booked a Safari with Legend following the climb. I’d recommend even a one-day safari after the climb - some of our group got an evening flight after a day in Tarangire National Park.

Myself and 30 other people did a sunrise hike up snowdon on the 15th march! We did this for the RFU injured players foundation and Jack came with us. Everyone has said how amazing he was and how much support he gave everyone. He kept people going and kept positive vibes all around.

Our safari in Tanzania with Legend Expeditions was absolutely incredible - an experience of a lifetime! The scenery was beyond breathtaking, and everything about the trip was seamless, thanks to Jack, the owner of Legend Expeditions and our safari guide, Magoma 🦁

We had already booked our Kilimanjaro climb with another company before we knew about Legend Expeditions, but honestly, we wish we had booked with Jack!

Even before we arrived, Jack went above and beyond, speaking with us on calls while we were still in the UK to ensure we were fully prepared. He gave us invaluable advice on kit, what to expect on the climb, and logistics, making sure every detail was covered. When we landed, he personally picked us up from the airport, which set the tone for how supportive and knowledgeable he was throughout our trip.

Despite not being responsible for our climb, he was unbelievably helpful - when Heathrow Airport lost one of our bags (not what you need before a big climb!), Jack stepped in immediately, sorting out all the necessary kit so we could still go ahead without stress. Even while we were on the mountain, our plans unexpectedly changed, and Jack helped with our plans to make sure our trip went as smoothly as possible. His level of support was simply unmatched!

Now onto the safari itself - absolutely insane! We did a three-day safari covering Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park, and Lake Manyara, and it was absolutely EPIC. Our guide, Magoma, was brilliant - so knowledgeable about the animals, a great laugh, and he made sure we had the best experience possible. Thanks to him (plus getting very lucky), we saw the Big Five, plus hippos, zebras, mongoose, an owl, and so much more 🐘🦁🦏🐆🦒🦓🦩🦛

The accommodation during the safari was stunning, with breathtaking views, amazing food, and a friendly team that made us feel so welcome. Every detail was taken care of, and we genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

One thing that really stood out to us about Legend Expeditions was their ethical approach. Jack genuinely cares about his team and ensures his local staff are paid fairly and treated well - something that, unfortunately, isn’t always the case with other operators as we experienced. Knowing that our trip was directly supporting people who are valued and properly compensated for their hard work made the experience even more special. It’s clear that Jack runs his business with integrity, and it felt great to be part of that.

Having just completed both the Lemosho route to summit Kilimanjaro and a 3-day safari, I can confidently say that Jack and the team at Legend Expeditions far surpassed my expectations.

THE LEMOSHO ROUTE

The Lemosho route was described to me as the most scenic path up Kilimanjaro, and Legend Expeditions ensured we experienced every breathtaking moment.

What set this expedition apart:

Comfort elements: Having larger tents, cot beds, private toilets and even a shower made a huge difference to the overall comfort of the trip. This allowed us all to really thrive on the mountain rather than just surviving!

Incredible Support Team: The porters—were personal, professional, friendly, and seemed to genuinely enjoy their work. The respect and fair treatment Legend shows their staff was evident. This extended to ensuring that members of other teams were okay when they could be seen to be struggling.

Summit Success: The summit push began at midnight, and despite the physical demands, our guides' encouragement and strategic rest breaks got our entire group to Uhuru Peak for a spectacular sunrise. Standing at the Roof of Africa as dawn broke across the continent was spectacular.

3-DAY SAFARI: TANZANIA'S NORTHERN CIRCUIT

Tarangire National Park:
A midnight blowing first day - from herds of elephants moving among baobab trees to seeing a Jaguar, created unforgettable scenes. Magoma and Jack's expertise revealed hidden wildlife moments most visitors miss.

Ngorongoro Crater: This natural wildlife enclosure offered incredible density and diversity. Within hours, we spotted lions, rhinos, and countless other species.

Lake Manyara: Compact but vibrant, this park delivered remarkable sightings including plenty of bird life. The lush forest provided a refreshing contrast to the other parks.

Throughout all three locations, Magoma, our guide demonstrated exceptional knowledge, anticipating animal movements and sharing fascinating insights about wildlife behavior. The accommodations struck the perfect balance between comfort and authentic safari experience, while the seamless logistics between parks maximized our wildlife viewing time.

I recently had the pleasure of climbing Kilimanjaro with Legend Expeditions. Myself and my best friend, managed to summit and chose the 8 day Lemosho route.

The comfortable cots, clean and private showers, and even toilets made our stay feel more like glamping than traditional camping. After long day of adventure, being able to freshen up in a proper shower and sleep on a sturdy cot, in a private tent was a game-changer.

One of our biggest concerns before booking was safety, but Jack and his team exceeded all expectations. This expedition was nothing short of perfect. We opted also to do the 1 day safari afterwards, which Jack lead and organised also. Saw so many animals , even the leopard and a rare orynx.

I had the pleasure of summitting Mount Kilimanjaro with Jack and the rest of the crew from Legend Expeditions in February 2025, following in my fathers footsteps (he passed away last year) from when he lived in Africa.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? The reviews of Legend Expeditions are wholly justified. I had the trip of a lifetime and every part of it was meticulously planned, thoroughly enjoyable, and an amazing adventure.

Jack went out of his way to arrange a pre-climb visit to an orphanage, a trip around town (where he seemed to know everyone), and a world class safari at the end of it. Speaking fluent Swahili added another level of fun to the trip. The banter on the mountain was 10x more enjoyable because of it. Jack is one popular figure on the mountain, that's for sure.

The wider support team on the mountain are also very special, they truly love and respect Jack. This rubs off in subtle ways throughout the climb. We weren't kept at arms length from the support team, we were encouraged to integrate and socialise with them, and I loved that. Shout outs to our Tanzanian guide Nelson, camp manager Pascal, head chef Elias, Tottenham supporter Hussein, and Julius who was always on hand to make sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful 8 days on the mountain. And I can't leave out the "Chupy" hunter Jackson either!!

I struggled with the final summit, but the assurance and support from Jack, Makuza (thanks for carrying my bag fella!) and Nelson got me to the top. I couldn't have done it without them!

All in all, an unforgettable experience. I can see Legend Expeditions doing great things in the future!

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with Legend Expeditions was simply unbelievable. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organised, well thought out, and beyond expectations.

Jack and his team were unreal. He speaks fluent Swahili, knows everything about the mountain, and went above and beyond—not just for us, but for other teams, porters, and trekkers along the way. You can tell he genuinely cares about people’s success and experience.

The comfort levels were unmatched. We had:
On-route coffee stops
A private portable toilet
A hot shower at the warmer camps (which shocked other climbers!)
Top-quality tents and equipment

That said, this is still one of the Seven Summits. It’s a mountain climb—humbling, challenging, and rewarding. No level of comfort can take away the reality that Kilimanjaro demands respect, but with Legend, you truly feel like you can conquer it.

The porters and guides were fantastic, quick, strong, and experienced, easily the best team on the mountain. And the cook? Outstanding! Every meal was a perfect mix of African flavours and western-style nutrition, keeping us fuelled for the trek.

The Legend team literally coached us to the summit, making sure we enjoyed the process, not just the goal to summit. Nothing was forgotten, left out, or not arranged. Many other hikers were genuinely surprised at the comfort and ease we had compared to their own experiences.

The climb itself was everything you’d expect from a trip like this, exciting, humbling, physically demanding, and emotionally rewarding. It tests you, pushes you, and gives you a deep sense of achievement when you stand at Uhuru Peak.

For the value and experience, I wouldn’t recommend anyone other than Legend Expeditions. They take care of everything, so you can just focus on the adventure. If you’re considering Kilimanjaro, don’t look anywhere else, this is the team you want!

Trying to get a group of people of varying abilities to cycle and run from Glasgow to Banbury is not easy task but the team from Legend Expeditions pulled it off flawlessly. From start to finish Jack and Jack made it an absolute joy. From planning routes to making on the spot changes due to conditions to keeping bikes and people in workable condition nothing was every too much for them . We couldn’t have asked for two more experienced or personable characters to lead our quest. I challenged Jack Fleckney with helping me to create a charity fundraising challenge, to get me & my team from Glasgow to Banbury on foot, or cycle, or kayak, to raise money for our local hospice. He absolutely smashed it. What I didn’t realise at the time of asking, is that it would appear there is very little, if anything, that Jack cannot do. Last week we completed the challenge of running & cycling from Glasgow to Banbury for charity. Jack & Jack led the whole week & were simply incredible.

Not only did they enable this challenge to take place by planning everything & keeping us safe during the whole week, they are just the nicest people in the world & not only will we use them in future for expeditions & challenges, we can now call them friends!

After such an amazing trip to Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro it was a very easy decision to climb Toubkal with legend Expeditions. Again the attention to detail and the constant support from the first chat, to booking and of course the climb itself was exemplary.

Our stay in Marrakesh initially was amazing, visiting the Souks and experiencing traditional food and entertainment was a great way to start our adventure.

This climb was a totally new experience for me having never used crampons or an ice axe, and at times, way out of my comfort zone. Sam could not have been more supportive or aware of this and was with me every step of the way making it an incredibly enjoyable experience whilst ensuring our safety at all times. Summiting Toubkal was a fabulous experience and one I would highly recommend – whatever your climbing experience! After 3 days in the Atlas mountains we had our stay in the Desert which was fabulous, the sunset and sunrise where breath taking along with a camel ride, amazing food and spectacular scenery.

I would whole heartedly recommend this expedition to anyone wanting to try something a little different. I would also, without hesitation, recommend Legend Expeditions to anyone.
