Excellent tour. Luxuria coach....never going back to Silver Service now!! Great battlefield tours and good Brewery tours too. Enjoyed the smaller one man breweries more then the 'experience' bigger breweries. One down point. Arrived at hotel 21.00, saw barman waiting, took bags to room, came downstairs...NO BARMAN. 10 of Leger customers queued for 30 mins waiting for service. No one at the bar and ONE receptionist checking people in so she could not help. Not a good start. Secondly, the hotel is too far out of town. We were confined to the Hotel restaurant and a mediocre pizza place nearby (The better restaurant close by was closed for holidays). Would prefer a hotel in the town itself to allow us to sample the local life.

The trip is well thought out and managed by anexcellent guide and an attentive 2 man coach crew. Coaches are very comfortable and the hotel was modern with good size rooms and facilities Would recommend this tour for a great mix of battlefield and brewery tours most enjoyable

An excellent trip, well thought out and very organised throughout. Our guide Gary was very knowledgeable and the drivers Mark and Marek were also very good. Their standard of driving on some very difficult roads in the Ardennes was second to none! Overall a most enjoyable and informative tour which I would totally recommend.

The tour, the drivers and the guide Gary were all very good and met my expectations. I enjoyed each day and the blend of historical site visits on the morning and the brewery visits on the afternoon worked very well and I would recommend to anyone who enjoys the historical tours and has an interest in trying different beers. The hotel was good and located centrally, but not easy for the coach to access due to controlled access bollards, Charleroi not the nicest place to be based. One dissapointment which is why I have posted only 4 stars was the journey home. My transit bus number was changed and I only noticed this when looking at the screens at the transit service station. No notification or announcements were made. The drivers of the transit bus on the return were also poor at communicating stops and onward taxi movements. Their general behaviour when people asked for information was also poor.

A very good tour, a good balance between the battlefields and the breweries. the guide Mark was excellent and the coach drivers, Chris and Luke, looked after us very well during the whole trip.

The tour is a perfect mix of battlefield visits and interesting tours of breweries and tasting of their wide range of excellent beers. The great information given in the morning can then be absorbed over lunch and the afternoon whichnI found to be an excellent combination. The whole Leger operation is smooth and slick to get you on your way. The coaches are very comfortable with a wide range of refreshments available from an excellent crew who are friendly and very helpful. The tour guides knowledge of history is vast and very well put across and was the flow of information regarding the tour and how it worked. Excellent comfortable and clean hotel with great staff The included breakfast was very good and had plenty of choice and evening meals were also good. A free meal voucher for use on the ferries was a nice additional touch Thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing 5 star

As always the guide was very knowledgeable about the subject, on this occasion both the battlefields and the beer. The days were quite long but this was necessary to fit everything in to what turned out to be a tight schedule. It was a pleasant change to stay in an hotel that was in the centre of the town (Charleroi) which we could then explore in the evenings. this was a different type of tour than I am used to but very enjoyable and I would recommend it .

Having been on the Ledger 'All Quiet on the Western Front' tour I knew what to expect so that was excellent. The tour guide was a very knowledgeable chap who really gave in insight into the history and background before and at each battlefield stop. Breweries in the afternoon were well chosen and free samples at each - Perfect. This was not a holiday as the itinerary was full on from early mornings to late afternoons however it made sure you saw loads of stuff. The hotel in Charleroi was ok as was the town before 19:00. After 19:00 most things shut and the area was taken over by the 'night people'. Hotel food was very expensive and restaurants in the area provided burgers and chicken mostly.

Well thought out tour with an enthusiastic tour guide. Also the coach staff were very welcoming and had a great selection of on board drinks. Was great to find out about the battlefields and history from 1940’s Europe to 1944 battle of the bulge. The beer’s were also excellent.

The drivers and the guide where exelent as always but what should have been a silver service was way below expectations. I appreciate that a problem with the coach is unusual and unexpected but the replacement coach was beyond dire. It would appear that extra seats had been added to fi everybody in which made for cramped seating but the windscreen was cracked and the main door failed to open three times, an obvious safety issue for both faults and the smell from the toilet was indescribable. The chap sat nexttome vowed never to use ledge ragain.

While I’m pleased to hear that our drivers and guide upheld the level of service you've come to expect, I sincerely regret the issues you encountered with the replacement coach. You're absolutely right — a cracked windscreen, malfunctioning door, and unpleasant conditions are completely unacceptable and fall far short of the silver service experience we aim to provide.
I appreciate your understanding that the initial coach issue was unexpected, but the substitute vehicle should never have compromised your comfort or safety. Please rest assured that we are taking this matter very seriously. We are already following up with our coach provider to ensure such a situation cannot happen again.
Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve, and I hope you’ll give us another opportunity to provide the level of service you rightly expect.

Very well planned with an excellent battlefield guide (Mark) who provided a vast amount of information on WW2 in the Ardennes. We visited sites and memorials where, I would suggest, hardly any other visitors go and Mark gave us a very detailed insight into history of those areas. The air raid bunker at the 101 Airborne museum was especially memorable. Leffe and Chimay visitors centres were as expected but didn't do the tour of the La Chouffe brewery as it was just too hot for us that day. We were more than happy to sit by the lake there. The microbreweries were great - really quirky and loads of beers to buy. Really enjoyed holiday on a bed and breakfast basis - breakfast at hotel good and a few places to eat in the evening. This was a full- on holiday - left hotel at 8am every day and back around 7pm but a bit earlier on our last day.. I would have happily given the holiday 5 stars but we were let down badly by our tour coach. The original Silver Service coach had broken down at the last minute so we were allocated what was described as an 'Executive' coach. There was nothing Executive about it - just a normal school-bus type, extremely cramped and very uncomfortable. Concerns about this have already been raised with Leger.

Too much emphasis on breweries. Not enough emphasis on battlefields. The last day was perfect. Didn’t seem like the guide took advantage of opportunities he had to talk about battles.
