I ordered a laptop through the Lenovo website and got a complete different laptop delivered. When I reached out to the costumer service of Lenovo (digital river) they helped me to find a solution. I had to send pictures and once they could confirm from their side that it was indeed the wrong laptop they could send me the right one. This seemed right, however it has been a week and they still have not confirmed that I have to wrong laptop at home. I have been without a laptop for a week and no other solution is given to me. I tried to get the right people on the phone to solve this as soon as possible, as not having a laptop in these times is quite problematic for me. However, the way costumer service is constructed at Lenovo will not bring you anywhere close to the problem, they are helpless (though very nice) when it comes to solving something quickly due to the limited actions they are allowed to take.
Conclusion: NEVER order at Lenovo NL as they can not call their costumer service a service at all, just embarrassing!
Bad experience with returning
I bought a new laptop via their website. It arrived within the expected time. As I had to proceed to do an update required by the computer, it froze and stopped working. I was still in the 14 days to receive a refund sending it back and made the demand accordingly. This was 20 th of march. The pick up adress they had was incorrect so I asked them to change it and this still hasn't been done. It's May the 11th and, I am still waiting for the computer to be picked up after many phone calls an emails where they say that they are working on it.
It's been a terrible customer service.
Laptop malfunctioned, but excellent support
My laptop had some weird behavior. Both tech support and sales support were quick, friendly, and professional. It took me around 5 minutes to arrange a replacement.
After the trouble I've had with Dell, I'm positively surprised.
I have send my laptop 4 times to lenovo…
I have send my laptop 4 times to lenovo to fix it and every time it came back the same. I need this laptop for school and they do nothing

I bought a new computer under warranty, that was faulty. I have spent many hours of troubleshooting, going around in circles with Lenovo’s terrible customer support, and then spending money on a private technician, and then having two visits from a Lenovo technician, Who failed to fix the computer. After two months of not having a working computer, had to buy a new computer. But now Lenovo won’t give me a refund.
Ps. The new computer I bought was from a local business. I will never buy a Lenovo product again, and will advise everyone to do the same
got scammed by its customer service…
got scammed by its customer service (actually its Medion, the outsourced repairing company by lenovo)
I sent a email via its support website, with the picture attached to describe the problem of my laptop, they told me "its under warranty, so repair and transport are all covered", so I sent it to them.
2 weeks later, they told me "no, its not under warranty"...if I want it repair, pay 1200 Euro, otherwise, pay another 50 Euros for the returning cost. well, with 1200 Euros, I can buy a new one with upgraded configuration... why do I bother to have a repaired one.
so now, I have to pay 50 Euro to get my laptop back (un-repaired).
let me quote the email:
1st email:
Thank you for contacting Lenovo Support. I understand there is an issue with the temperature of the device and after opening the device you noticed there was something detached regarding the heatsink. As the device still has warranty we can setup a repair to have the depot check the failure and replace the parts.
To be able to set this up I would like to check the following data:
2nd email:
Can you please let me know in a reply if the information above is correct or needs altering.
If all is well I will setup a repair for you, which means you will receive an email with a voucher which you can print out.
Pack you unit for transport (orig. box or good alternative) and put the voucher on the box.
You can bring this package to an UPS delivery point in your neighbourhood (I will include a link in the mail so you can find one).
Transport and repair will be done under warranty and will therefore not be charged to you
I hope to have helped you sufficiantly with this information and I wish you a very nice day.
----quote end----
but in the live support chat, that guy never admit that "it is under warranty" and telling me it`s repair center`s call to decide whether under warranty or not.
ye...what can you do? my laptop is in their hand, they will not return it unless I pay the transport cost.

advice: stay away from Lenovo.
One of my two biggest regrets in life included ordering from lenovo.nl
My two biggest regrets in life were, one, not taking school seriously and procrastinating as often as I did, and, two, ordering a laptop from lenovo.nl.
According to them my laptop would take up to two weeks tops to be delivered. After two weeks, of course that did not happen. For the following two weeks after (total time: 4 weeks) I had to keep badgering them to ask what was happening with my order.
Finally they were able to answer me that they had trouble getting parts which would take a total of 2.5 months to finally be delivered to me. I had to wait another 4 days for them to finally cancel my order, leaving me without a laptop for over a month while I had to deal with their pathetic excuses of its supposed whereabouts every other day. Would not recommend, you should only order from this website if they are holding your loved ones hostage.
Worst customer service I've ever experienced
I really expected more from an official reseller of Lenovo products in Europe. Digital River are just a disaster. None of my emails and questions were answered to my satisfaction: I only got stock responses which were literal copy-paste emails and word-for-word sections from the FAQ on their website. Not a single time anyone wrote me personally to clarify my confusion, just keep regurgitating the same unhelpful bs, even when it was totally irrelevant to my inquiries.
I received the EXACT SAME email FOUR times in response to my follow up questions. I felt like I was talking to a wall.
I tried ringing them. In the menu beforehand I choose to speak with a Dutch rep... but nope... I get in contact with some English-speaking guy in China. He can't help me with any of my questions either, instead being snippy and patronizing.
I ended up cancelling my order out of sheer frustration. I don't want to give this terrible company my money. And if something turns out to be wrong with the laptop or I need to use my warranty, I sincerely doubt I will be helped.
(part of the reason of my cancellation are missing keystrokes being a very common problem on the machine I ordered... while I ordered it for the precise purpose of doing a LOT of writing. The keyboard functionality is my number 1 priority, and apparently they couldn't even get that right on a brand new laptop worth 2 grand.)
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Any discounts ARE NOT WORTH IT.
Buy an (older) thinkpad from a reputable reseller instead. You'll save money and a headache.
Bad product, worse customer service
A few months ago a bought a Lenovo Yoga notebook, a few weeks later I couldn't turn the laptop on anymore. That was when I sent it back to repair for the first time. When it came back there were some new problems with the ventilator and the screen, so I sent I back again. When it came back, it worked for a couple of days and then it wouldn't turn on again. I called Lenovo, explained them the situation, I was told that I could send the device back and receive my money back. So I sent it back AGAIN. A few days later they sent me my notebook back, telling me that there was nothing wrong with the laptop. However, everything was reset, all my documents that were on the computer were gone, and it was pretty obvious that something had been done with my laptop. Worst of all, the computer had been sent back to me in a loose box, without any fragile signs on it, and the laptop just thrown in box, completely unprotected.
I called them again (lenovo.nl) and ended up talking with an extremely unfriendly and arrogant man (told me his name was Wil, not sure if that was the truth though) who requested to talk to my boyfriend (I assume he thought that I, as a woman, was not capable of talking about computers myself). He denied that anything had been done with my device, although it was more than obvious that they had repaired the laptop. He also insisted that the packaging that I had received was the way they would always ship their products. Since I had already sent back and received back my laptop from lenovo several times before, I know for fact that that is not true. When I asked to talk to his manager I was told that it was not possible...
In the end I retruned my laptop where I bought it and they took it back. They had already heard from other customers that lenovo has a bad customer service and that the Lenovo Yoga is a very bad device.
To sum up: I will never ever buy a lenovo product again!
