Extremely poor quality chocolate

I was shocked by how poor the quality of the chcolate was, especially given the premium price tag. The chocolates were overwhelmingly sweet, with none of the depth or richness you’d expect — just a flat, sugary taste with zero real flavour. Several pieces even had a whitish tint on the surface, which made them look unappealing and tasted just as bad.
Overall, they were inedible and absolutely not worth the £70 I spent. I expected something indulgent and high‑quality, but this was a complete let‑down. I won’t be buying from Leonidas again. If you are looking for premium chocolate I highly recommended Neuhaus you won't look back

Still sludgy and horrible

This is my third review of Leonidas chocolates, the first being in 2020. They have not improved. I received a box of these for my birthday, and while I really appreciate the thought put into the purchase, the chocolates were just as disgusting as ever - sludgy, revoltingly sweet and all the "flavours" pretty much identical. On top of this, the menu sheet is inaccurate, to put it kindly - for example, a chocolate described as containing crunchy biscuit and almond pieces consisted of the usual cloying sludge and nothing else. Complete rip-off.

I saw these advertised and wondered why they were so expensive, so I ordered a small bag.

Given a box as a present last week

Given a box as a present last week. When opened they were covered with a powdery film and tasted stale. All efforts to report this on their website thwarted. Am not going to risk an expensive phone call to Belgium, with no UK number provided. Disgraceful.

I would give it 0 if I could

I would give it 0 if I could. My daughter sent me a small box of pralines via Amazon and they were 2 months out date. The chocolate were coated in some white stuff which chocolate do when not fresh, some were sticking together and could not be unstuck. Don’t buy them on line ever

Rude and unobliging customer service

I recently placed an order with Leonidas, opting for their most expensive delivery option (£11.50) — as I was purchasing a birthday gift — which, before payment, guaranteed delivery by a certain date. However, the email confirmation said it would be delivered eight (!!) days after this date. When I emailed to complain, asking for a refund, the incredibly rude person who replied repeatedly ignored my request and kept blaming me for their faulty website! It took nine emails in total before I eventually got my money back.

Really awful experience. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Horrible chocolates, badly packed.

We knew we were receiving chocolates as a present for Christmas, but my heart sank when I saw that they were Leonidas. We had bought some ourselves on a previous occasion and it was not a good experience: the chocolates were not the varieties we had ordered and were disgustingly sweet. A lot of them were smashed.
The chocolates we received for Christmas were no better - they were horribly sweet, with sludgy flavours and were just chucked loose into the box. They were within the "best before" date, but tasted stale. Horrible.

We used to love getting a box of these…

We used to love getting a box of these at Christmas, the rich, velvety chocolate was so indulgent. Just bought a box and tried a couple, horrible. They were now sickly sweet and fake tasting. A real shame and the price is comparable with some of the really good independent chocolatier’s who make good honest chocolate and not mass produced junk food.

Not Gluten free!!!!

You cannot deny that the chocolate are absolutely delicious, but there is a little problem if you have allergies, and it's not a little problem but a big one!!!!
On the packaging and online it says "Gluten free" that is reassuring when you are coeliac, but when you read the small print, it says that it was packed in a factory which handled GLUTEN! That means that the chocolate can be contaminated, and that it's not Gluten free, and if you are coeliac its a NO NO as you would be really ill !!! So the label Gluten free should be removed as there is a chance that it could be contaminated!!! Important for coeliac people!!!! A bit misleading really!!!
