SCAM- NOT AN AUSTRALIAN BUSINESS; FROM CHINA AND TERRIBLE QUALITY
So I got sucked into the whole ‘Australia’s fastest growing sandal company’ trope. However, their products are not made or shipped from Australia as advertised. I received a VERY poor quality pair of sandals from China, that were basically a Wish version of what they advertise on their website. Upon querying with the company about their ‘Australian made and owned’ claims, I was told that they are, but they have distribution centres across the globe to meet supply. 🙄 I asked them to clarify why they would make their sandals in Australia, the ship them to China, for them to then be shipped out to the customer….from there. Surprisingly enough- they ignored me.
I asked for a refund; they told me they would give me a 40% refund and I could keep the product. They then went on to say this would be best for me because I’d be liable for all the return shipping, tax and customs charges to post them back to China. (Further proof this isn’t an Australian company). Please, everyone, don’t fall for that nonsense if you’re ever peddled the same nonsense. If goods are faulty, not fit for purpose, or do not match what is advertised, you’re entitled to a full refund and for return postage to be covered under Consumer Warranties in Australia. They eventually acquiesced and are fully refunding me. I even get to keep the hideous, unwearable, foot bricks…..yeyyyyy. Poor landfill. Sigh.
