Worst solicitors in Kelso, Leyshons ws
23/3/2024. Solicitors, one based in Kelso! Avoid . Used by the seller of the house we now own. They were a nightmare to deal with during the process of buying the house. Their bank account got frozen ( very suspicious) on the day of completion, so no completion. Two families could not move , all their worldly goods in removal vans and storage.
All the solicitor was worried about was himself and how much stress this was causing him!
The seller an 81 year old lady was homeless( technically she could have stayed in a totally empty house with no furniture !) we were left in the position ( having completed and moved out of our house the day before) of finding somewhere to put two van fulls of furniture and somewhere to stay the week before Easter!!
Then it took them 2 full days to sort out the sellers purchase for her to make final move( she was given midday Maundy Thursday to complete and move buy the storage firm or her property was going to have to stay in storage till the Tuesday after Easter!)
Not even an offer of assistance from the solicitor and even worse no apology.
To top it they made a muck up of her accounts so they still had thousands of pounds of her money in their account!
She had to go to the scottish ombudsman and law society to even get a response from the solicitors to get her money back( took 16 months!!)
The solicitors even trued to ignore the ombudsman !!
Don't touch them with a barge pole
