Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 298 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People consistently experienced terrible product failures, such as broken appliance parts, leaking washing machines, and malfunctioning screens shortly after purchase. Consumers also found the customer support teams completely unhelpful and rude when trying to resolve these ongoing problems. Some reviewers were happy with certain aspects of the televisions, praising the bright colors, modern design, and clear picture quality. Other buyers noted that the initial setup and basic functions met expectations when the devices were operating properly, though these positive experiences were often overshadowed by widespread hardware and service complaints.

Do Not Buy LG. Terrible quality and terrible customer service

I have had a 9k tumble drier for 5 months and it has stopped heating. Under the warranty I booked a repair. I explained it was on a stacker unit so 2 engineers were needed. Only one turned up so the repair was not attempted. I phone LG customer service to try to book another repair and I kept getting cut off and also told I would receive a text with a repair appointment. This did not happen! After days and hours of phone calls and 2 complaint emails to the President, I finally got a repair date after 14 days.
Again only 1 engineer arrived and he attempted a repair but still the drier is not working. As the drier is less than 6 months old I am entitled to a new machine. I will contact the President again as customer services is useless.

Customer service is appalling

L.G.WASHING MACHINE
Customer service is shocking, I bought a washing machine 10 months ago. 3 errors popped up in that time, I have care and protect cover, the rim of the drum in my opinion is not sealed tightly, allowing anything and everything to get stuck in the filter, 6 times I phoned Customer services, could not understand what was being said, ,they also kept repeating the same issue which was not the case, very difficult and frustrating to get yourself heard or sort out any issues correctly, appalling service, and this is what im paying for, I will never buy another product from them. If I could give no stars I would.

DO NOT BUY FROM LG

DO NOT BUY FROM LG

I bought my first LG washer less than 6 months ago. It had a faulty door lock that made it vibrate and leak because it wasn't tight enough to seal properly when in use.
LG sent an engineer out, who upon removing the door lock and door seal, found corrosion on the drum lip (the part hidden under the drum seal itself that is not user accessible)

The engineer then lied about my repair. He said there was no issue with the lock, noted the rust and said it was probably from being used and also said I was aggressive and shouting. Luckily I have CCTV of the ENTIRE interaction which proves he's a liar. This is taking place in a household with two disabled vulnerable adults.

I formally rejected the machine with Appliance City who I purchased it from, they told me that LG said the engineer report said there was no rust! Despite the engineers OWN photos and mine and CCTV proving differently. Appliance City keeps pushing me back to LG, LG hasn't even got back to me after I sent the CCTV proving the engineer was a liar.

I'm shocked and appalled that LG would treat disabled customers like this, allowing engineers to outright lie about your conduct and bring your behaviour into disrepute.

The fact they used my Mom's bowel cancer and the necessary washing we have to do to say the rust was caused by that. DISGUSTING.
I have this in black and white in the engineers report.
I have all the emails, the report, photos and CCTV.
I am still left with a machine that I can't use because it leaks and having two physically disabled people in the house makes that a much more dangerous slip hazard.

Worst service I have ever had

I have never received such poor service from a company in my life.
I paid £50 for my washing machine, which I bought directly from the LG website, to be installed.
Two men came, they did not have a clue what they were doing. They unwrapped the new machine and asked me where the hose was supposed to go.
They asked me if the water should be turned off.
They asked me to go under the bench and push the hose through the hole in the cupboard.
Then they told me that ‘LG do not have stretchy hoses’ and so they could not ins the machine.
Then they left.
Twenty minutes later I had installed the machine following the instructions in the book and from photos my own plumber sent me.
BUT
LG will not give me my £50 back.
Even though the machine was not installed and nobody thinks that it was installed.
And it was not in any way my fault.

Please avoid LG washer dryers

Please avoid LG washer dryers. I bought one less than 4 months and its leaking from the front door. I bought LG X10 Series ThinQ™ W4X1095NNK 9Kg / 5Kg Washer Dryer.
I reached out to support they didn't even offer a repair but said they cant do anything. Please avoid their washer dryer. I dont know about other products though.

No issues whatsoever

I can only report on my own experience, of course. I’ve had my LG washing machine for 15 years and with 6 people living in the house, it has certainly been put through a tough time over the years! I have never had an issue with it. I’ve never had to have any parts replaced or repaired in this time. The machine works just as well as it did when I bought it. Would highly recommend.

LG need to start appreciating their customers before they leave out of frustration

Having chosen an LG TV purchase from John Lewis (LG in my experience was a top brand for functionality and performance) the sale included a £50 cash back from LG. As a qualifying customer this was welcomed. We bought the TV on 28h Feb. I have no idea why LG have chosen to turn a positive experience of buying a TV into a very disappointing experience of delaying this £50 for Months….still have not received it! I would recommend to LG to stop the pointless and dismal money back’ ‘offer’ to just sending their loyal customers a voucher or E-voucher for an LG product….so they make money either way. Please stop annoying your customers and start appreciating them instead.Customers are your biggest asset so APPRECIATE THEM.

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. Horrible customer service. Washing machine had 5 year warranty on everything. Paid 125 pounds for a gasket replacement because they said they would not proceed with any further repairment otherwise. Stupid company horrible people and Customer service. Repetitive sentences doesn’t not get to the point.

no instructions whatsoever

2days ago i took delivery of a 65in lg tv to replace my old 50in lg i was disgusted by the complete lack of info with it , there is a detailed set of diagrams on how to put the stand on [ which is blindingly obvious anyway] and a flimsy bit of paper , called an owners manual which basically just tells you how to dispose of it when you upgrade in the future ? my old t.v. came with a laminated card showing the functions of all the buttons etc , and actual instructions on how to use it. My wife and i have a mercedes slk and an abarth 595 . Both came with detailed user handbooks on how to operate them [ the mercedes one is bigger than war and peace] and to me anyway its a lot easier to drive a car than set up and get the most out a new t.v. Just very very disappointed. And a one year warranty in this day and age is quite frankly abysmal , they obviously have no faith in their product.

If you are thinking of buying an LG…LG Tumble drier died after 5 years!

If you are thinking of buying an LG tumble drier then think again. I bought an LG Heat pump tumble drier from John Lewis via the website about five years ago. When my drier was condemn to the recycling site last week, both a service engineer that tried to fix it and John Lewis saleman that recently sold me a new Miele tumble drier, that LG tumble driers with heat pumps are prone to break down. All our previous tumble driers had lasted at least 15 years and some are still going today after we've given them to our children. LG are probably good at making TV's but anything to do with heat pumps, including my LG Heat pump for domestic water and heating have all failed. Also be careful of the LG after service as they said they could fix the drier for £175 but after numerous conversations I found out the Heat pump was excluded so I'd have lost £100 of the £175 if they'd come and confirmed it was the heat pump. How terrible is that!

LG IS A JOKE

LG customer service is an absolute horror show where you don't know what is going to happen next and a suprise is always around the corner.

Their call centres are based in Thailand or Philippines and the staff have openly admitted to me they are just soldiers and have no control over refunds, exchanges and product knowledge.

I bought a Television and Soundbar from the website and the delivery was cancelled on so many occasions which led me to contact their customer service and the worst part of the experience was that they couldn't locate the order.

After 2 months I am still to receive a refund and even after calling LG Customer Services over 20 times.

My advice to anyone don't bother buying from the LG website and dont bother buying their products. Samsung and Sony have much better products.

LG wouldnt refund dangerous washing machinehine…

LG wouldnt refund my washing machine even though it literally lurched on one side across the floor. Had it less than a year. Originally suggested I could hv new machine, refund or engineer ( already done that). Doesnt matter what engineer found or not, washing machines only go wrong with proper wash, not a quick spin with a couple of towels. It posed danger via water and electricity. I was so disgusted I bought a Beko from a very reliable source. No problem whatsoever. LG are no longer a trustworthy company, they took my money, 'laughing all the
way to the bank' and left me with a dangerous machine. Dont buy from them.

No after sale service at all - AVOID

Our washing machine stopped working. There was no possibility of getting the part to be replaced either by our plumber or by LG. There is ZERO after sale support. Once broken, you must assume you have to buy a new machine... from another brand !!!!

Horrible Products and Customer Service

I came here to write a review and was not surprised by the number of bad reviews. I bought a TV last year in November, and I still do not have a remote for it. They have not provided one. The CS agents are all in the Philippines and are often rude and dismissive.

The courier they use wouldn’t mount my TV

I ordered a 65” LG G5 TV from LG to be wall mounted but the delivery company they use refused to mount it because “it’s not a brick wall.” There are literally instructions with the TV on how to mount it to a stud wall. I think they just couldn’t be bothered because it was a Friday. I have already complained to LG and expect compensation. The delivery drivers left the TV boxed on my living floor and advised me to “get someone local to mount it.” LG please get competent fitters to deliver TVs that are to be wall mounted.

LG OLED TV's Nolonger Support Amazon Firestick

I bought an LG OLED TV about 3 years ago and loved it, brilliant picture quality and could control all the connected devices with the Magic Remote that came with it, recently it has stopped doing that and I found it really annoying to use multiple different Remote controls so I phoned LG customer services for help as for the previous 3 years it had worked flawlessly and was an expensive purchase, I spoke to a polite fellow from a call centre I'm suspecting was somewhere abroad, he took control of my TV over the Internet while I was on the phone and I patiently watched as he proceeded to press all the wrong buttons and do things that had nothing to do with the problem I was calling about, after 10 minutes or so I had to tell him the person I was calling for help how to work the television, it was almost comical that LG would have someone working for them that had absolutely no idea what they were doing, after 45 minutes of going round in circles with no help whatsoever he went away to talk with someone and came back to tell me Amazon Firesticks are nolonger supported on LG Televisions, I found this absolutely ridiculous as they are one of if not the most popular streaming devices people buy and as I've said before it worked perfectly for the previous 3 years since buying the TV from new, I have a much cheaper TV in my bedroom that was less then a quarter of the price and that can do it so why can my expensive LG OLED nolonger do it?

It has become so annoying that I'm considering replacing it with an OLED from a different brand, LG and their customer service is a joke.

We bought an LG OLED TV a couple of…

We bought an LG OLED TV a couple of years ago and it has already gone faulty. It wasnt a cheap TV. We contacted LG but the TV was out of warranty (only 12 months). I suppose if only 12 months warranty is given on their product they dont have much faith in it and perhaps should have been a red flag.. Their customer service were meant to let me knkw a suitable repaor centre in our area but never did. After this experience, we would never buy anothe LG product.
