No service or customer care at Liberty Bank
It’s six days before Christmas, I’m a veteran, and I needed to get a document notarized. I live in Deep River Connecticut and went to my local liberty bank. I walked in and asked if they had a notary. The manager said yes. Then he paused and asked if I was a member. I told him I’m not a member and that I’m a veteran and have been with Navy Federal a long time, but my son is a member and I helped sign him up. He tells me unfortunately, since I’m not a member that he can’t notarize a document for me. He refers me to a bank in our neighboring town and tells me they are likely to charge me for it, but they will do it. I ask him if I can pay him to notarize the document for me and he says no. I’m just wondering what happened to Customer Service especially close to Christmas and for a veteran? I’m also wondering what would ever entice me to switch banks or create an account at this bank now? I’m very disappointed.
