Crooks - avoid!

If there was a minus stars option, I would add this. My son has just been scammed for £89, money he has spent a while saving up. He wanted to sort out his provisional license himself, and did it with this company, but had no idea that by doing so he was engaging in a “subscription” for a regular payment of £89. My son has only just turned 17. I just called the company to ask that this money they took be refunded, and the person I spoke to did not help at all, and said the money was taken legally (because this surreptitious subscription info is buried in a disclaimer somewhere in the company’s website). I will be reporting this company to the Financial Conduct Authority to see if they can help get our refund. While what the company claim to be doing is “legal”, it’s utterly unethical. I will also be seeing if there is any traction for exposing this company in the press. My son has had his money taken from him. We are in shock. Please, please avoid this company at all costs.

Absolute con-artists

Absolute con-artists! You won't realise you are signing up to pay £89 every month for nothing until it is too late. Incredible that this is legal, how do they sleep at night.

An absolute scam

An absolute scam. They pay to be prioritised as an advert on google (an absolute scandal and big black mark against google for allowing this to happen) then charge you £89 to complete an application form it will take you 10 minutes to fill in for free yourself.

Then the cherry on the cake is they sign you up by stealth to a recurring £89 charge quarterly for access to an unspecified “website”.

First you know about this is when the next £89 is taken from your card 3 months later.

All entirely deliberately of course.

Avoid like the plague and go direct to GOV.UK for anything to do with government documents - driving licences, passports etc.

I phoned them and threatened them with a credit card dispute process and small claims court and they refunded the £89 recurring subscription immediately & cancelled it, so don’t put up with this. If you get caught, challenge it.

THIS IS A DISGUSTING SCAM.

THIS IS A DISGUSTING SCAM.
I applied for a provisional licence in Feb 2023 via the DVLA website (or so I thought!) and £34 was taken off my card which was the correct amount.
£89 was taken off my card on 03/03/2023 (which I unfortunately missed) and another £89 was taken on 31/05/2023.
I have reported this to my credit card provider and Action Fraud who are investigating.
My credit card provider were aware of this company said it is one of many on-line scams, this one in particular have a website set up that looks almost identical to the official GOV DVLA website.
The DVLA know about this scam and are not bothered as it does not affect them in anyway, it's just poor duped individuals that are suffering.
I have tracked down a telephone number for Licence Assistance which is 02045251110.
Hope this information helps someone.

SCAM Company! Avoid, Avoid!!

Readers take note of all the reviews. My only correction is that this is a zero star service.
It mimics DVLA…sneakingly signs you up to a subscription service and then starts siphoning funds from your account - they took £190 from my account over a few months and no recourse from my bank.
Please do note use for anything - you have been warned.

This company's service is a scam

I wanted to renew my driving licence and I googled the DVLA website. I encountered this website not knowing that it impersonated the official DVLA website and operated as a scam.
Once you entered the website and selected the "Renew a driving licence" option, you were directed to a form that was designed to look identical to the genuine DVLA online form. However, during the payment process, crucial information was hidden from you. The scammers did not disclose that they would charge you £89 for their service and enroll you in a subscription that would result in recurring charges every three months.

To make the scam appear more legitimate, they initially charged you a smaller amount of £24, which may have seemed reasonable for a driving licence renewal. However, two days later, they charged me again the additional £89 for their "service." By doing this, they likely aimed to prevent customers from claiming a refund, as their refund policy states that refund requests must be made within 24 hours of the transaction. ("If you would like to cancel your application, you must complete and submit a Refund Request within 24 hours of your application. ")
I completed the refund request form straight away, but they didn't answer. Then, I called them on the number 02045251110 and talked with a member of staff. They canceled my as they said "Subscription" and refunded me £14! They told me, that the eventual refund of the rest of my payment has to be completed by another department. Now I am waiting for the phone call from that second department...

I cannot believe how much of a scam…

I cannot believe how much of a scam this is. They mask themselves to look like a gov website that is trusted. What a lie that is. I contacted them with in ten minutes of the £89 (that I had no idea about) coming out of my account. They refused to refund me. I sent them photos of there Trustpilot to reinforce my point of them being scammers and they blocked my contact so I couldn’t reach out to them anymore. I have screenshotted everything, reported them to GOV and my bank and will not rest until this has been settled. What a disgusting company.

EDIT -
I emailed them and live chatted them everyday (I told them I would do this until I got my complete refund) as well as reported them to GOV website and said I would take it further than that if my refund was not given to me in full. A week later, I was refunded.

Do not be afraid to keep at them. They deserve all the grief they get!

They need to be taken into the Court

They need to be taken into court , they are scammers. They look like exactly as DVLA and they do not show the charge and then you see t he charge on your card. This is daylight rubbery. The bank does not accept any responsibility and it is ridiculous as when you pay you do not see the extra £89 pounds charge.
anyone succeeded to get refund?

I feel like such a fool

I feel like such a fool. This website looks exactly like the DVLA and in my haste, I did not check. Now I've paid £14 for the license and £89 for 'check and send' which is crazy as I entered the details myself and they've probably just pasted them onto the legitimate website.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
