Manager wouldn't take my government issued ID

Went shopping for a present for my father's birthday. The lady id'd me which I thought was fair enough I do look young. The manager took the absolute mick out of me and refused to take my government issued identification card.

Hatch pond Rd

Hatch pond Rd , Poole , BH17 7LG . This is the worst Lidl store in the area , no self service as i quite often buy 4 or 5 items and quite often get stuck in the queue usually 3 to 5 people usually with half a trolley full , other stores nearby have card only self serve . Also the till staff open and shut about every 15 - 20 mins WHY IS THAT ?? . It's no good talking to management it just goes through 1 ear to the other . There is an Aldi store about 500yds away far far superior because there are 10 self service tills of which have 4 cash options this is so much easier . Both Tesco & Asda have 12 self serve 3 cash options , The only plus Lidl has is the very good fresh bakery section , other than that I WILL TRY TO AVOID. I would really love to see a reply or response to this review

Lidl Plus

Can't login to Lidl Plus. I realise from all the negative reviews that this is a common problem with many other UK customers. I attempted numerous times over several weeks and eventually gave up completely. I have tried to reinstall. The login gets as far as "Welcome to your Lidl account" then moving forward a message shows "There's been an error Please go back". At one time I managed to get a message "Welcome to Lidl Plus. Now you can enjoy Lidl Plus". Then I was directed to a German language home page. There is something fundamentally wrong with the Lidl Plus app.

lidl plus what a pain / i used to try…

lidl plus what a pain / i used to try use but now app wont work as says phone too old only 4 years old not buy new phone to suit lidl rather just have a keen price , if i could afford flash new phone id be shopping at marks and spencer not lidl ! was last straw this week as many 1/2 price offers but only on plus, and was not clear so had to ask at till, which sent them into melt down , as apparently so many people refuse to pay up for not have plus, went looking and found the so called plus offers i could get product similer cost or cheaper at morrison and aldi, so now im going to drop lidl ,like i did to tesco over clubcard plus offers , rather have good price not club card bling , simples , many electrical tool offers they put on offer taken back to storage put on offer , now they out of date , only keen cost if plus app, so bought a x20 to makita battery adaptor and got tools etc clones on Ebay cheaper for battery jet wash, drill, saw , impact wrench etc and they the new brushless not old brushed like lidl old stock ! I think as a cheap grocer lidl lost its way like netto did ,such a shame but i am vote with feet refuse to be ripped off, as seems clear to me no plus app you subsidising people who can well afford go else where as have new smart phones ! And they wont take a CS report if you try to contact them with out a lidl plus account, so they alienating older or poorer customers ! Thats why i posted on here as they not willing to do CS people need to know even X20 tools you can either get china factory clones or a battery adaptor and makita clone .

Very bad customer service

They do the wrong price tag and tell them the price is wrong. They said I will go check, then they just never come back, keep me waiting here for so long, and I saw the manage who said he is going to check the price doing other things. Just not coming back to refund the extra money they charge me. Not only that, they keep me wait around 20 minutes, came back show me a pic with their new price tag and said it is what it is. I literally have a pic myself, with the on sale price tag on. Never have such terrible experience. Feel they are scamming me!

BIG BiG prices and Lidl (little) on quality…

BIG BiG prices and Lidl (little) on quality.
Many of their prices have surpassed Tesco's making a better quality shop at Tesco cheaper, one of the items that was cheaper at Lidl was their own floreys branded 9 pack of toilet rolls for £1.99.
On today's visit I found they had shot right up in price to a whopping £2.89.
I joined the queue at the one only checkout that manned out of eight and got fed up of waiting whilst the till operater encouraged customers to download and use the Lidl up which took forever to process transactions. I abandoned my shopping basket and went to Tesco's which was properly staffed much busier and got through the checkouts much more quickly as the queues kept moving at a reasonable pace.
Also having read other reviews about taking faulty items back at Lidl I've had similar problems with being passed off by the management and given a phone number which resulted in most likely to occur faults not being covered by the warranty.

Lidl has gone gradually downhill

Lidl has gone gradually downhill.
The weekly offers are normally what is about to go off in the fruit and veg variety and normally starts rotting the next day.
The bread goes stale well before the sell by date. It's so bad that we have been buying our bread now from ASDA.
I bought some ribs yesterday and for £4.99 I do not expect 70% fat. I left it out for the foxes.
Yesterday we found a lot of missing prices.
We have been shopping at 4 different Lidl's for years sometimes 5 days a week but are thinking of changing to Aldi.

Lidl supplier appalling customer service and quality

I purchased an Ultimate Speed Power Pack and compressor 16 months ago with a so called 3 year warranty. Last week after only the third use topping up the camper tyres, the hose burst. I contacted the service department who informed me that the hose isn't covered by the three year warranty but they would supply one for 7.95 Euros, plus 20.95 euros postage. I queried the postage and they said basically that was it take it or leave it. (The hose would fit in a small envelope or jiffy bag) I contacted Lidl and complained and all they said was they would pass the information to their buying team.

I wanted to return a mini mandoline…

I wanted to return a mini mandoline slicer, because it didn't work. The blade was too close to the frame. However, on trying to return it, the manager wouldn't do anything about it because I didn't have the receipt. He gave me a phone no. which I attempted at about 12.30 but they were not available until the next day due to staff training. I couldn't contact them online. Trying to return a relatively cheap item has caused me more stress than just throwing the item in the bin!

They treat disabled customers with…

They treat disabled customers with contempt + obviously consider disabled people as nothing short of sheaves. I went into Lidle just to get a couple of items. I am disabled + I walk with 2 walking sticks. I entered the shop with a carrier bag from another store + the security staff clearly could see that as I entered the shop + I paid for the 2 items in clear view of the security staff. As I was leaving the shop the security guard approached me + insinuated I had been shop lifting + he even questioned why I had bought other items from Tesco + B&M. As I entered the store, this security guy was questioning a woman in a wheelchair. Do Lidle have a problem with disabled people? Or do your security staff just enjoy belittling disabled people? After my experience I would never shop in Lidle again. I have never stolen from a shop in my life + I feel offended that Lidle consider disabled people as nothing short of theaves.

Today I was served at the till by a lovely chap called Stewart, Friar Park Wedesbury Branch.
I have recently put the Lidl app unto my phone and he explained things and helped me through it as I paid.
He was courteous to all the customers.
An asset to the company.

Don’t buy fresh fruit…total waste of money.

Two weeks ago I bought two punnets of ripen at home plums. I followed the instructions to place them in a fruit bowl to help them ripen. So, going into week 3 of having them they are still rock hard but also starting to shrivel so totally inedible.

The bananas on the other hand are ripening before you have the chance to eat them. I bought two slightly under ripe bananas and two hours later parts of them had turned to black mush!
