I had a very poor experience with L&I Eaton following a non-fault insurance claim.
Direct Line instructed me to use them to repair my Audi after the front bumper was damaged. They confirmed the bumper had been replaced and returned the vehicle to me. However, immediately afterwards I began receiving repeated “Pre-Sense” errors on the dashboard, indicating that the front radar system was not functioning.
When I brought the car back, their mechanics informally inspected it and said the radar had not been recalibrated after the bumper replacement, which is something that should have been done as part of the repair.
They then attempted to sub-contract the work to Penn Garage. I was told someone would contact me the next day, but nobody did. After chasing again several days later I was eventually contacted and told someone would come to fix the car the same day – they never arrived. A second appointment was then scheduled several days later, and again nobody showed up.
By this point it had been around three months since the original incident and the issue caused by the incomplete repair was still unresolved.
Rather than continue waiting for them to sort it out, I had to take the car to Audi to diagnose and fix the problem properly.
On top of this, I was also told they could not replace an aftermarket splitter that had been damaged because they only install OEM parts, meaning I had to pursue compensation for that separately through the insurer.
Overall the experience was extremely frustrating:
- The original repair appears to have been incomplete
- Follow-up work was poorly organised
- Multiple promised appointments never happened
- I ultimately had to take the car elsewhere to resolve the issue
I would strongly recommend carefully considering alternatives before using this repair centre.

Great service. Dropped our courtesy car off at my husbands place of work and returned it there too. Halle in the office kept me informed all of the way with phone calls and texts etc.
The repair took a little bit longer than i thought it would, but I have never been in a car collision before so i really had no term of reference. The car did look brand new when it came back. It was spotless inside and out.
Overall I was very happy with this company and the service they provide.

L&I Eaton in Liverpool are excellent. I recently had my car bodywork repaired. They were curious and professional every step of the way. They kept me fully informed and the job they did was excellent. I would recommend them to everyone. I don’t normally leave reviews, but I felt I had to this time , due to how good the company were.

What great service we had from this Keith garage.
From the first moment wwe contacted our insurance company gollowing an accident. The keith garage were great at communicating thw plan , time frame etc. Less than two hours from contacting insurane company, thw car was picked up by transporter, on receipt of car a video was sent to us, multiple updates, arrival of parts, the car fixed and drlivered back to us by friendly helpful staff, ans tge car looked brand new.
The customer care was excellent.

My WAV which I have for my disabled daughter was damaged by one of her carers, broken taillight and damage to the driver side at the back. L & I Eaton (Keith Branch) made the whole process seamless. The contacted me regularly regarding the process and arranged to collect my car at my home (Inverness). The kept me informed regularly about the work and the timeline. The staff I spoke to were extremely professional and courteous. Honestly, when things like this happen its a pest but this firm is outstanding in their service. They also contacted the leasing company for me who provided a temporary car to notify them the work was complete. The made the whole process easy and stress free which I very much appreciated. I would highly recommend their service. When my car was returned to my home they sent me a video showing the completed work. I am really impressed by this company who's staff and service could not be faulted. The whole process took little over a week.

Our mobility car had had rats eating the wiring so we needed a replacement car whilst ours was mended. They were so quick to deliver and our car was repaired and ready to collect next day. I can only praise how good customer care and service is for this company.
