The appointment date notification is a pain. It beeps to remind you and then there's a pause for 5 seconds. This 5 second delay only adds to the normal 5 second start up delay making it a 10 second delay. This seems like a lifetime when all you want to do is start your vehicle and go. Also, the device failed to work properly. I was able to drive my vehicle to the shop to get a replacement device. I contacted Lifesafer explaining that their device failed to work and I drove an hour and a half (round trip) to get their machine replaced.
Their machine failed at no fault of my own. They said they can't reimburse me. It was recommended that I forward a complaint on their website.Their website states they take complaints seriously. Bull. I called Lifesaver back after waiting a month. I was told they never received the complaint. I submitted it again. No phone calls or email responses. I called them back. They said they tried calling numerous times. Bull. I have call display. I asked if they left any messages ? They said no. That suggests that they never called. Long story short, they lied and won't reimburse you if it's their fault. Also, the device is too sensitive. It will register a FAIL from eating a Big Mac. I guess the sauce left on your breath immediately after taking a bite will trigger a FAIL.
By the way, once their machine is removed, the driver has to wait at least 2 days to drive. You don't have a license for 2 days minimum. The MTO won't receive your last bit of information on the device for at least 2 days. I guess that's our fault too. Of course Lifesafer won't tell you this in advance. I found this out from the person who was uninstalling the device. Anyway, if the device fails to work and the person drives to get it replaced, you will not be reimbursed. Plus Lifesafer will lie to you over the phone. Also the machine is too sensitive.
