Between my nurse and counselor they have pulled me out of crisis mode and I'm beginning to thrive

Ashley Kean-Ames is an extremely knowledgeable, yet caring provider. It is clear she knows her stuff. When we meet for our virtual appointments, she is solely focused on our session. If I send her a message through the patient portal, she responds in a timely manner. I am new to Massachusetts and initially had a frustrating time trying to establish a new psychiatrist nurse. But after being referred to LifeStance by my PCP and being scheduled with Ms. Kean-Ames, I feel as though I won the lottery!

The great sense of trust, confidentiality and calmness. I look forward to my visits. My therapist gives me the greatest insights and reassurance of my mental capacity. I receive what I need/want to become and to remain a asset to my community. I will not be canceling my meetings any time soon.

Run for the hills! My daughter found them online, because they have an obvious massive online presence. My daughter is 19 and before she knew it. They had done any evaluation and scheduled one session without even talking about cost, then she gets a Bill in the mail for $700 for 1.5 hours of nothing. This is not geared for mental health. This is geared to take advantage of people, and take their money
Real therapist discussed the cost ahead of time. It is not hidden. This was total bait and switch.

Only leaving two stars because the psych dr I saw was wonderful. I loved her to pieces and it hurts me having to leave her. After many incidents with their call center team and many incidents with billing though, I am done. The most recent time I contacted them was because I noticed everytime I logged in, my health insurance information was deleted. I called to make sure it was on the phone as I was not about to pay a $3k bill that had not been run thru my insurance. When I called, they had all the information on file already. Odd, right? They proceeded to insist my health insurance was not active and I needed to take it up with my health insurance company. They continued to insist when I asked them to simply run the information as they take the money for the health insurance out of my paycheck and it works everywhere else. After the 3rd time she told me I needed to check if my insurance was active, I asked her to remove all forms of payment from my file and canceled my upcoming appointment.
They do not care about mental health whatsoever. They only care about robbing you. Sorry Jenny, I love you. But I am done with this place. If you ever work elsewhere, please contact me.

This company has only added to my anxiety and depression. A year ago, when I started with them, they told me an appointment was booked, then right before the appointment told me no appointment had been booked and I'd have to wait another month. Then, last month, I booked an appointment with a new provider. A week prior to the appointment (after waiting a month for it) then told me the provider actually wasn't taking patients and I'd now have to wait an additional 2 months. Beyond upset and really need a therapist.

I feel like my concerns where actually heard, and I was treated with respect. I love that I was able to share all my experiences with what I have always thought was ADHD, and also ways that I can help improve my struggles. I will continue to work with LifeStance and continue to reach out for support.

I made an appointment with Dr Fotso ( she was great) and kept it, and it went well and she referred me a therapist and I went to that appointment, all together I had 45 mins or so in front of two professionals and we started a treatment plan, I pushed pass the automated phone answering service ( which is an insult to anyone) and I looked pass the hold times (11 mins on one call) and I did not get annoyed when I got 17 text , man but when I saw that bill, $100 for a cancelation and $282 dollars for my visit with Dr Fotso, $400 bucks and I have not even had my 2nd appointment , the sticker shock is enough to keep me at bay, look if you have money like that ignore my 1 star it is not for you and congratulations on being financially stable me on the other hand I personally can not deal with this type of cost,

I was severely mismanaged, medication wise, by Susan Chapman, APNP.
She is fine during a visit, but once you are out of her sight, communicating with her is INCREDIBLY difficult.
She also never de-prescribed anything, only added.
Additionally LifeStance as a whole has the WORST, most opaque, non-user friendly patient portal I have ever used (and as a HCP, I have used many.)
However, I'm not surprised, as this whole company is owned by a private equity firm.
I would give negative stars if I could. Do not recommend. For anyone.
Updated to add, I reach out to Patient Relations at LifeStance and had a profoundly disappointing experience with the Regional Medical Director there as well. Not even an apology for my experience, let alone any accountability. Unsurprising, but still deeply disappointing.

The therapists and doctors are great, however the billing department is horrible. My bill is incorrect. I have receipts and bank withdrawals for 8 payments. My patient portal says I have made 3 payments. I have tried many times to message the billing department to get it corrected only to get the same canned response and the copy of the incorrect statement with the non matching payments. There is no phone number to call to get a person. I can not reply to the message as it says that option is not available so have to write a new message each time. I go in and talk to the people working there and they his some buttons and find my payments and give me receipts but those receipts do not show up on the portal and my bill continues to grow and not show the payments.

My main issue is that they didn't disclose the cost of every single interaction. I got charged for prescription refills, I got charged for changing medications when I had side effects. The initial call assured me that they accepted my insurance, but the bills were so incredibly high that even after my insurance paid half, I was still left with a large bill. The cost for my last refill was $97 that was after insurance. I transferred my prescription to my GP, and the cost is under control. This was an unfortunately very expensive experiment for me, considering I was under the assurance that it would be covered by insurance. Also, none of my inquiries to billing were ever answered, and the "phone number" only goes to a foreign call center that can't answer any questions. If you have a lot of money and don't mind spending it, this is fine, but for the rest of us, I'd suggest going to a doctor that you can trust.

My experience with Lifestance Health has been shockingly unprofessional and unreliable.
Last year, a provider canceled on me and I was pushed out more than a month. I let it go and assumed it was an isolated issue.
It just happened again. Another provider left, and instead of Lifestance responsibly transitioning patients or prioritizing continuity of care, I was once again pushed out over a month. When you are actively managing medications and relying on consistent follow up, that kind of delay is not an inconvenience. It is reckless.
Staff turnover is not an excuse. Competent leadership plans for it. There appears to be no real system in place to protect patients when providers leave. That reflects a serious failure at the management and clinical director level.
What makes this worse is that I found a new provider who was able to see me within one week. This level of disruption is not unavoidable. It is the result of poor organization and lack of accountability.
If you are in the King of Prussia area and need reliable care, I would be very weary of this practice
