Fantastic experience
Fantastic experience, and give the very enthusiastic and talented man Mason a massive thanks.
Made the experience better with all the knowledge he possessed.
10/10
Customer service at its lowest level,
Customer service at its lowest level,
Experience cancelled due a technical fault....these things but to communicate via email knowing it was a high chance it would go to junk mail so got unread..... Arrived to hear the news with no compassion and respect that a family traveled to only be disappointed with comments like well you can rebook sir or receive a full refund is totally unacceptable..
Unless you book whilst on site I would personally avoid.....
Poor customer service
The view at the top is great and good VFM; however service was awful- very disorganised- the staff didn’t know what they were doing and offered no information, clearly not trained in customer service. We had early bird tickets but didn’t get our drinks.
Poor value and a 45min queue time even if it looks quiet
The cons
It was quiet but we were in the que for 45mins. It doesn't look like a long que but you will never see all of the que. There is almost no seating whilst you wait. If they told people it's going to be 45mins nobody would wait.... The duration is listed as an hour but the view is only 9 mins, the rest is standing in line
Every time it goes up it earns them £1000 (£40,000 a day). As somebody else has written this event is very poor value. Do make sure that your hotel is not higher than the top otherwise you will wonder what the fuss is.
Very little info about the history. A video would not kill them.
Pro's
The view is good but after all the waiting I was starting to get annoyed and just wanted a sit down tbh.
That's it but please read the other reviews. Some people love it.
4 tickets booked for 12:30 sunday 18th…
4 tickets booked for 12:30 sunday 18th may. turned up 15 mins late due to uber boat by thames clippers being absoilutely terrible and having to use the tube instead after waiting 50 minutes for boats that never came. Turned up and were checked into the queue promtly, no issue with turning up late. Staff were great, freindly and informative. The experience was educational enough, and ran very smooth, and the experience in the lift was fantastic made better by having the perfect weather for it. Popping out the top is just such a wow moment, i didnt record it but wish i had, i recomend this whole heartedly, best views we had all weekend (clean glass), we did sky garden and the cable cars but this was the best.
Not such a good view… we were lucky…
Not such a good view… we were lucky because we got early tickets so didn’t queue for long, but it was a hot day and after nearly passing out from the heat up in the glass elevator I noticed a fan behind the assistant, aha air at last!! No she was holding her hair up and airing herself and not letting the cool air circulate. It was not worth the money but because the shops are all empty maybe that’s why they are ripping people off. Don’t waste your money treat yourself to a picnic and enjoy Battersea park or maybe enjoy a walk by the Thames. At least you will have air.
Simply don't care.
Paided over £100 for 4 tickets then 2 days before 1 of the party became ill with a brain aneurysm, could only exchange tickets for up to 3 months after original date, but it takes 6 months to recover from an aneurysm, customer service absolutely useless, don't care about reason and just expect you to loss £100 of your hard earned money,I did complain and that didn't do any good simply don't care,so if you go make sure that your party are not going to have any life threatening conditions as these people won't care and will tell you to go f××× yourself and keep the money.
This attraction costs way too much…
This attraction costs way too much money. It consists of: 1. Boring touch screen displays (10 minutes). 2. Pointless laser light show (7 minutes). 3. Walk up 39 steps. 4. Lift experience (5 minutes). That’s it. The staff are mute. No one tells you what is involved and how much time you will spend looking out over London. We didn’t make it all the way around the 360 view and didn’t take many photos before the lift (without any warning from the attendant) just descended. Would NOT recommend!
Ticket refund
Hi, I've now written to infoatlift109 over 10 times to get an over payment refund. Originally I received an email with questions. I've answered them all. Then nothing. Come on team I'm sure you can sort a refund!! Can't you ?
I went to Battersea Power Station for…
I went to Battersea Power Station for the first time last Thursday and I was very impressed by the whole site. Very upmarket shops and restaurants, lots to see and do. (King Charles was visiting at the same time coincidentally). My friend and I ventured over to Lift 109 as it looked interesting. We were smoothly moved through from the queue to the info area which was small but adequate. The installation was informative and really gave me the impression of how London has expanded over the past 80 years. The lift experience itself was very enjoyable, considering it was raining and misty, the views from the top of the chimney were still spectacular at around 4pm. An unusual POV looking south to north on a bend of the river, so an interesting aspect. The staff were attentive and knowledgable especially at the ticket office and in the shop. I enjoyed an update from your staff member Daisy in particular. I would recommend this experience to everyone. I was worried about the height aspect and claustrophobia, but there is a lot of space and only a few people in a huge glass lift, so very spacious and you can walk around to check out all of the angles. No issues with height since your focus is lateral.
Rubbish Lift 109 experience
I'm already tired & absolutely fuming, booked a 1.45pm slot, FLEW DOWN from Scotland and at the moment I have stood 90 minutes in a queue and am still queuing...I'll have another 30 mins to get into the first of the experience making it well after 3.15pm before we get near the lift - this is outrageous. No one has explained any delays - totally unacceptable. Friday Dec 6th 2024....where was the point in booking a time?????? Absolutely awful experience....🤬🤬🤬👺
No refund details
Took my 88 year old Dad (travelled from Derbyshire) and sister from Newcastle today, "technical fault" told we would be emailed if it started again. I asked why not text/ WhatsApp was told data issues. Opened 2 hours later which was too late for us, no links to refund in the emails sent from Lift 109. I am hoping this isn't going to be a challenge...
Amazing customer service!
Amazing customer service from Callum and Francesca! Even though we booked our tickets on our way to Battersea, and realised, too late, we had booked for the day after, Callum sorted us out and amended our tickets! Francesca was great, and they both made 3 ladies of a funny age, feel like VIPs! Excellent ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Don't order the champagne experience - you don't get it!
Very little time at the top to take in the view (after waiting for an hour) and then if you book champagne you only get it if you help yourself at the bar!!!
Sorry no refund for non-existent bubbly. What a con.
Save your money and go to the Shard - it's so much better
Great experience
Great experience, would definitely recommend. Had the pleasure of meeting Lela on the lift who was able to provide excellent info on the lift, she really made the experience even better :)
Non existent customer service for refund, after lift never happened
We booked three tickets for 5 April, but fire alarm caused 1.5 hour delay. Advised to email their info email address for refund. After 4 email attempts, still no answer. I rang the merchandise line, as Lift109 dont have one, they agreed it is annoying & suggested returning to Battersea get a refund. The ticket refund is same price as a train ticket! I am hoping by leaving this review SOMEONE will read it & respond to my emails. Customer service is non existent. You owe me £54.
Very Different Experience
The lift experience reminds you of Charlie and the Chocolate factory as it rises towards the top and expecting it to fly into the air.
At the top you have 360 degree views of Battersea and of course London you have adequate time to photograph and identify landmarks!
The power station is a magnificent Art Deco building and is vast.
Please allow a bit of extra time on the tube because Battersea is a spur line so you may need to change trains.
Such a disappointment. No customer care or support. One hour notice cancellation and not even a sorry???
We received a generic email one hour before our trip that our lift is cancelled due to technical issues. No contact details, not even our names on the email. Just details for how to rebook. We have my 79 year old father, my husband and I have lost a days annual leave and we had a dog sitter lined up and on our way because we live fairly far. It was a gift for my elderly dad whom is disappointed and has had to make an effort to travel today but he was looking forward to our family day out. A refund doesn’t cover the additional costs associated with cancellation at such short notice and to not even provide any contact details. Just a link to the FQ customer service page. As a customer we have a week to change our dates with the flexi booking but somehow it’s ok for the company to cancel us that morning without a call or personalised email despite the company having both these details. So unprofessional and not remotely demonstrating any empathy for the impact this could have on customers. What was a nice family day has been a disaster and wasted day. Really unfair.
Avoid avoid avoid !
I spent £19.50 on a ticket and have a disability, had to wait 10 minutes to enter a small exhibition which is called the gallery which is a small size , however they allow around 10 + more people to " interact" with exhibit which you cant do in the allocated time, which in my case was 7 minutes given to interact with the exhibit which is not enough time and does not give you a chance to see or interact with anything you are taken into the immerse experience room which I think is referred to as an infinity room and takes 5 minutes before you go up steps or a lift to the actual lift. I am being very generousness with the times here when you are in the lift the experience is 7 minutes at best! It is a complete waste of time and nothing like what is advertised . Before you know it the experience is over. I have contacted customer service who provide what I can only describe as waffle as to why they cant issue refunds or provide a goodwill gesture then have the nerve to lecture you about " apologies for the experience not resonating with you" I would avoid this place, there other places that offer great views , like the shard , roof top gardens just to name a few that offer a better experience where you can justify spending your money . Unless your interested in walking around a mall and going to restaurants where you can find on most high streets then don't bother going. Do your research there are other places in London which have great views and save your money. Don't bother contacting customer service they will insult your intelligence and do nothing meaningful .
Same as everyone else
Same as everyone else - cancelled 20 minutes before our allocated time. Travelled down from Cambridge. Went to the bar to drown our sorrows and the bar tender says it’s happen ALL the time. Don’t bother re booking as you’ll waste even more time and money then you have already. A complete joke of an experience.
