Terrible customer service; inflexible rules

The lift ticket discount that you may get is not worth the stringent and inflexible terms of purchase. Their customer service was terrible and, when asked for a modification of the order (not a cancellation), they declined to even discuss possible compromises and flatly read me the terms policy i agreed to. Very helpful! I recommend you stay away from Liftopia. I certainly will.

We are sorry for the confusion you experienced on the Liftopia website. Booking lift tickets in advance on Liftopia will save you up to 80% at times. While we do understand our policies can be strict, it is these policies that allow us to offer discounted lift tickets. We understand that people do want to make modifications sometimes, and we try to help whenever we can, but that is not always possible. If you ever have any questions or problems with our website or products this season, please contact us directly at +1-800-349-0870 or support@liftopia.com - we'll be happy to help.

Rude customer service, unacceptable!!

During an online live chat with Liftopia representatives at least four times in the past month, the chat was ended early on me 2x while my questions were not yet answered and I was still typing. They are defensive when I questioned their policies/rules. Obviously a money hungry company who doesn't value their customers........ Absolutely sickening

Avoid Liftopia

Avoid using Liftopia. January 2014

Rented 3 mountain+equipment pass over Holiday in Banff. $900.
Liftopia sent us to Ski Hub in Banff, they couldn't' fill the equipment order and told us to go to the mountain in the morning and hopefully get our gear there; cited Liftopia does this all the time and doesn't control their shop's stock.

Liftopia tried to make some calls but I had to get up at the crack of dawn, motivate my family to get to the mountain for rentals and then negotiate the rentals on my own. Worse, I had to return the rentals to the original mountain by 5pm the next day so had to leave the slopes early on the last day. But, I paid $900 for this.

Liftopia did offer a $20 credit on my NEXT purchase thru them. I am insulted and would not want anyone to have to deal with this type of customer service when you pay for no hassles up-front.

Liftopia was given every chance to make things right, and they blew it all on their own.

Suggestion: Rent direct from a local shop or from the mountain.....they have control of their equipment while Liftopia does not.

We are sorry for the problems you had using your Liftopia tickets at Banff. Unfortunately we cannot control our partner resorts' current stock of available skis/snowboards; however, we do give the resort as much advance notice as possible for them to prepare for a customer's visit. It is fairly common for rental shops to "sell out" of rental gear during the busy holiday ski weekends.
