Very friendly people, had Dave as my instructor honestly hands down so informative and funny.

First time riding for over 15 years, where I only ever held a CBT licence. Recently decided to opt for the DAS course, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised to the efficiency of the Lightning training school, and more notably, my instructor Carl who has given training at Oxford. The course is tailored to experience, and the instructor has always been very supportive and accommodating to address the areas that are positive and those of which need improvement, a very honest approach! The booking team are also very approachable and are able to adapt to fulfil the students needs. Top job Carl, appreciate your guidance!

Recently took my CBT at the Swindon branch and enjoyed it so much I ended up doing the DAS course, passing my Mod 1, Theory and Mod 2. The instructors were brilliant, patient and made the whole experience enjoyable.
They were able to get my tests booked in quicker than I could when I looked so this meant I was able to complete the training within a short time.

They had great comms through email and text and in a digital world I find this so much easier than phone calls.

Just did my Mod 1, Mod 2 & associated tests with Lightning after having done my CBT with them just 8 months ago. The tuituion that I recevied from the instructors at the Stourbridge centre was second-to-none, and I passed without any major issue.

I would whole-hearedly recommend using the instructors at the Stourbridge centre, and extend a huge thanks to them again for their assistance!

Worst and best experience with this riding school, worst with legal side and customer service, but fairly good with instructors, you must be really careful before making a booking of any course or riding sessions otherwise you will definitely loose you money, this company don’t provide refunds, so basically I did make the booking accidentally on wrong day so contacted them straight away and explained the situation they said they don’t do refunds in 12days time frame even if that would be outside 12days they would charge 60£ fee which is 40% of original payment I would call it total ripoff, also the may change the dates of the course but you’ll be paying additional charges because they will sell you place, if they don’t sell your place you’ll forced to pay full price again, sounds like a scamming organisation, btw I didn’t even sign the terms agreement which comes with by email with booking confirmation and when i mentioned that they bring up the older terms which i signed while doing CBT, as far as I know signed terms and conditions works only with one purchase, you can’t bring half year old signed agreement to the new purchase, also they charge dvsa test fees even they didn’t book you in yet, dvsa provides full refund if cancelled up to 3days to test but its looks like they just cancel your test and keep you money,
I would strongly recommend considering different riding school with better term and refund policy, or be really careful with making booking, because if your plans change you will never see your money again.

Update: Tried to call them again after their response, but unfortunately couldn’t even say the word, the fella on the phone just started talking some bs without stopping and at the end just hanged up, good I got it on record so ha e a chance to make small claim lawsuit, it’s absolutely ridiculous behaviour, basically because I shared my bad experience with them they told me i not getting anything even my dates changed, what a scammers😡

I traveled relatively far to use Lightning since they seem to be the only company that published their availability very freely on their website and I am glad I did.

I did my CBT elsewhere, but going from nothing up to a full A licence took no time at all (with 2 road rider sessions before the Mod 1/2 training). I used their Reading, Oxford, and Swindon locations to get my licence quickly on weekends.

Every single person involved was absolutely great, but a huge shoutout to Ricky (who I did all my mod 1 and 2 training with). It's still a mystery to me how he could spot error (accurately) from like 200 metres away, but he's absolutely on the ball and without a doubt I owe my passes to him.

I started my journey at Lightning Motorcycle Training as a complete novice, never having ridden a motorbike and only riding as a pillion twice in my life. I set out to obtain my full licence and was impressed with Lightning’s reviews and their fair and open pricing so I signed up with them.

The booking was super easy to make and the admin team work really hard to make sure you know what you need, where to be and when. They will help you book your sessions around your schedule and needs.

In a short amount of time I obtained my A2 licence (passed both my Mod1 and Mod2 tests first time!) which is a huge testament to the instructors, their experience, patience and expertise.

I had the privilege and pleasure of working with Dave, Marcus, Keith and Andrew at the Wembley site.
What a lovely bunch of individuals, each with their own set of quirks, you’ll surely pick up a wealth of valuable advice.

On the road I always felt safe and trust me, these instructors (each with their own riding and teaching style) genuinely want you to progress, they will always go above and beyond to see you succeed. I particularly like their no nonsense approach to teaching and the way that they will help you look for your own riding style.

I cannot thank each and every one of you enough. I’ll be back for my A licence soon ☺️

I just got my full A license today, The CBT I earned last year was also trained by Lightning Motorcycle. I love every single training session, every instructor I meet, Todd, Cole, Ricky, Keith, David, all are so informative, figure out your weakness and adjust your concept accurately. Not only good for the exam but also the riding journey forever!

Had an amazing instructor named Cole. He was an awesome personality and an amazing person to spend a day with. He made us understand every concept of the training in detail and made it very easy. He was riding since i was even not born. It was all because of him at the end of the day i was confident to ride motorcycle on the roads in UK. I enjoyed and learnt a lot.

Just completed my DAS course with Lightning pass. Can't recommend them highly enough. Fantastic support and training every step of the way. Thank you guys!

I had my CBT renewal and Ricky made it really fun and easy to understand. He is definitely an asset to the company with the best training skills. Would highly recommend this place for CBT training. Grazie signore Ricky.

Lightning Oxford are awesome. Many thanks to Rich for his patience and comprehensive training for Mod2. Right on point for the areas that I really needed. Thanks also to Adrian for keeping it enjoyable and relaxed for the test day.

I did my Mod 1 test today with Instructor Dave and he was absolutely phenomenal. I was very nervous and he just really took the time and effort to show me how to pass but most of all he really helped me feel more confident and less nervous about it. I feel so grateful to him because otherwise I know I would have failed. I could not recommend Dave more to anyone really. He is the best and also a great person too! We had a great chat on the way back. Thank you so much!

just did my cbt and I must say the instructor was 5 star. Ricky made me relax and helped where I needed it. he was professional as well as making it fun. the final element was great even tho he did speak italian at times.... lol.

Done my a2 with them in their Swindon centre. Passed today , very good instructors and great training bikes too . At no point did I feel scared to make mistakes as the friendly instructors were always there to let me know how to correct them when I do my mod 2. Will definitely do any further training with them even if it means I have to come all the way from London. So to anyone looking for training schools to do their bike related tests/training , you should without a doubt to it with these guys . Great people and great prices !

Absolutely amazing experience i enjoyed every bit of it and would 100% recommend it to anyone looking to get their full license! Instructors were amazing aswell and helped me when i was nervous. Overall this has got to be the best driving experience so far!
