Stuart, from Light Renewables, arrived this morning promptly as scheduled and proceeded to install my Powerwall 3 + Expansion Pack + Gateway, and EV charger.

He was friendly and clearly highly experienced at his job. The installation is PERFECT.

We have a 14 kWp system (28 panels + Tesla PW3) installed in October 2025 by the Light Renewables team. We found out about the company through a recommendation and decided to move forward after speaking to a few of their customer references they provided. In my opinion, they've been in business long enough to have the experience, and they offered competitive pricing on quality equipment. Their 10-year workmanship warranty gives us peace of mind.

Due to the size of the system, it took a couple of days to install, but everything went smoothly. The team came back a couple of times to resolve small issues like cracked roof tiles, etc. These things happen given the size of the project, but their willingness to help showed that the company genuinely cares.

I also had no issues with paperwork—all the necessary documents (MCS, warranty docs, commissioning letter, etc.) were provided on the final invoice.

The onsite team was professional, and the back office team replied to communications quickly.

I did a lot of my own research, but the owner is very knowledgeable and helpful, and I’m sure he’ll be able to assist with any questions you may have.

We’ve had no issues with the system after 4 months of use. My winter bills have dropped by almost £200 per month, and with sunnier weather now in March, I started to see some serious solar generation figures. We won’t be paying for electricity during the summer and there will be extra solar to be sold to build credit to cover my winter usage. Fingers crossed the system continues to run smoothly, but I’m confident the team will be helpful if anything comes up.

I’m never one to write a review, but these guys are really worth 5 stars! The team and the support, from start to finish they are actually very professional- every question I had was answered.
Installation was smooth and everything was left as it should be- price was very competitive which made me question if they were reputable- but once they came to install I was more than happy and can only praise them.

3 months on and a fault developed (with the battery) they worked tirelessly to investigate and then replaced the battery with no grief.

I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking at solar.

Even after the replacement Daryl the boss checked in with me making sure all is ok.

The installation phase was managed by an Engineer named Sergio who did an excellent job.

The guys at light renewables were brilliant from start to finish on our solar install. No pushy sales when I first contacted them. They gave a fast quote that was far better than the competition. The survey was carried out thoroughly. I had been looking into a solar system for a while and I had an idea of what I thought would work and they listened and advised on the best course of action. The install was carried out quickly and efficiently with no mess left behind. The panels, bird proofing, cabling, battery and inverter are all installed perfectly and it couldn't be neater. I had a concern once it was installed about the positioning of the panels and the impact of shade on them, once I'd emailled the team called me back immediately putting me through to the CEO who was on his way back from holiday in order to discuss my concern and make sure everything was to my satisfaction. There was no issue with the panel positioning in the end and the system is working brilliantly.
The team send through guides on how to change the settings on the system via the app which are very useful and easy to follow. All follow up documentation came through very quickly.

I spent a long time looking up different solar installers and I am so glad that I chose Light Renewables.

The quote was by far the cheapest, but I felt very confident after speaking to Darryl. He explained everything I needed to know and answered any questions I have - he obviously loves his work. They arrived on the day and time they said they would - the weather was pretty bad and rained 90% of the day but this didn't even slow them down. Nothing was too much trouble and great suggestions were made as to placement of cables etc. I had a Power Wall 3, solar panels and an EV charger installed. The installation was of a very high quality and I am really pleased with the result. All documentation I needed was provided in a emailed pack and has enabled me to get the export approved and working very quickly. I actually spent a year thinking about it as I am very careful with work to my house and I now wish I'd done it sooner.

I spoke to a number of solar panel and battery installation companies initially to discuss options, Light Renewables were by far the most professional, efficient and non-sales pitched of them all. Not to mention the very competitive quote for the overall system. From initial interaction, to technical survey, to confirming and agreeing the scope and price, to installation just one week later I had a great deal of confidence that they were the right choice. Great communication throughout all of this from Rick and Daryl, and the installation team on the day were fantastic and explained everything very clearly.

The relevant installation certification was then sent through as quickly as could be expected given turnaround times with the DNO, and cut to 5 weeks later I have a system which is already earning me money now the sun has finally made an appearance!

I spent couple of weeks perusing through the internet for a better Solar deal, however I didn't just get a better deal with light renewables, I also got experience packed team.

With Light renewables, I got a safe deal, I was updated and carried along all through the deal, I felt involved and not left out. The team did a clean Job, the electrician did an outstanding job maintaining a well coordinated line of wiring and outlets, he went as far as arranging the other cables that runs through my meter.

They are well organised in the sense that after finishing their job they complete a satisfactory check with their service manager via video or taking pictures and explain what they have done, every turns, mark, connections, lines are checked for customers satisfaction prior to them leaving the site.

I must say that I am well pleased with the team and company, here is a happy customer and I strongly recommend ''Light Renewables'' for your Solar installation...!!!

We recently completed a fairly substantial home energy upgrade, including a Tesla Powerwall 3 with two expansion packs and 11 Eurener bifacial solar panels, and I’m genuinely impressed with the service from Light Renewables.
From initial consultation through to commissioning, the team were professional, knowledgeable, and extremely organised. What stood out most was their technical competence — they clearly understand complex systems, hybrid heating setups, and battery integrations, rather than just installing “standard packages.”
The installation itself was neat and well thought out. Cabling was tidy, communication was clear throughout, and the team took time to explain the system settings and optimisation. Everything was commissioned correctly, including export limits and smart tariff configuration.
There were no surprises, no pushy sales tactics, and no corner-cutting. It felt like dealing with engineers who take pride in their work rather than just sales reps chasing volume.
Now that the system is up and running, performance has been excellent and the setup is fully automated — exactly what we wanted.
If you’re looking for a competent, technically strong renewable installer who delivers what they promise, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Light Renewables.

Great service, had an issue with the datalogger being offline following a power cut. Contacted the companies technical line and within 10 minutes was back up and running.

Excellent service.
We had our system installed in 2019 and it still performs as expected.
The inverter failed in 2022 and was promptly replaced under warranty.
The newer one failed to communicate after I changed our WiFi router but on contacting Light Renewables, Daryl advised me over WhatsApp which resolved the matter.
I can again monitor the output of my 14 panel system.
Thanks to Daryl and all at Light Renewables, I have no hesitation to reccomend their service.

Excellent service from start to finish and accomodated all my needs for the neatest more integrated system. I am extremely happy and highly recommend them - they came up with a much better system that the other companies I spoke to and the knowledge Daryl has especially shows through.
