Amazing way to learn Spanish

Amazing way to learn Spanish. The teachers are really good and friendly. The main reason I use Lingoda is how flexible it is to book classes.

Really a great experience

Really a great experience! Lessons are fun and you get to speak a lot, which is the most important thing if you want to become fluent in any language. With some basic vocabulary already learned using online applications, I started at A2 French and had no problems communicating on vacation when I went to France after six months and my first 100 hours of French. 100 hours? Yes, and it is easy, as the schedule is flexible and with a bit of planning ahead you can choose any time slot that fits your schedule.

You do not have a dedicated teacher and cannot choose them (unless you limit yourself to the lessons and time slots your favorite teacher already picked). Instead, you get a teacher assigned when you pick a new topic and time slot a week ahead. I probably had about a hundred different teachers. What might act as a deterrent at first glance, is actually a big advantage. You get to experience different people, different accents, different ways to speak. And you will have spoken to several native speakers when you finally practice your skills in real life. So, by then you are used to speak to native speakers and will have no stage fright at all.

After A2 I decelerated and am now about to complete B2 after four more years and another 300 hours (luckily, my company paid). I started to use French for business purposes, have been complimented in French restaurants for my French and was even asked on one occasion from which French region I come. Admittedly, that was in Québec. Speaking regularly to native speakers makes it easy to train your ears for fast spoken French, develop conversation skills, stop translating all the time and improve your own pronounciation.

As lessons are more like relaxed discussions of the topics, it has always been fun (I would not have lasted that long, otherwise). I am already missing it, now that I am about to have completed all the lessons. Maybe learning Italian is an interesting option…

The teachers are really great

Like the classes but the learning tool doesn't work

Actually I am really happy with Lingoda classes and teachers. A real game changer on how to learn a language. Unfortunately, I have not been able to use the vocabulary tool effectively for a quite a while. I have often addressed the problem with the help desk but they haven't managed to solve the problem.

We also want to reassure you that we took all of your reports very seriously and carried out a thorough investigation into the Vocabulary Trainer. After carefully reviewing your account and the system behaviour, we can confirm that everything is functioning as intended. The tool works by drawing from your full vocabulary list and presenting words in a randomised order while using spaced repetition to support long-term memory. Because of this, it’s normal to encounter vocabulary from earlier lessons again during practice.

That said, we completely understand how this experience may feel less effective when you’re hoping to focus more on newly learned words. Your feedback is truly valuable, and it has been shared internally as we continue exploring ways to further improve how our Vocabulary Trainer works for dedicated learners.

I had my credit card information stolen…

I had my credit card information stolen and used to purchase 3-4 months worth of services from Lingoda. After contacting Lingoda they asked me to send them the CC statements, and CC information used which I did. After they found that I had all the proper information LINGODA chose to not refund me for the fraudulent activity. Since Lingoda has chosen not to refund the stolen services, In my opinion Lingoda is a willing participant and this company is NOT worthy of your business. More to come.

However, due to legal requirements, including General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are not permitted to access or share account information unless the requester is fully verified as the account holder.

We understand this limitation can be very frustrating, but it is necessary to comply with these legal obligations.

Please note that in order to activate any service on our platform, the full bank details, including card validity and CVC, are required to complete a purchase. This may indicate that the person in question had full access to these details.

Given the circumstances, the most effective way to resolve the disputed charges is to contact your bank or card provider to initiate a chargeback. Your bank will investigate and coordinate with our payment processor according to standard procedures.

While we cannot intervene directly due to legal obligations, we remain fully available to cooperate with your bank or any authorized investigation and provide any support we are legally allowed to offer.

Great opportunity to improve my English

Teachers well prepared, small classes, good opportunities to speak and listen.
I like to be able to book the lessons at every time and every day, according to my schedule of the week.
The website is well structured, but the lesson material is sometimes a little boring, I would prefer instead to whatch some videos or to practice listening and pronunciation.

The classes were great with the native…

The classes were great with the native speaker teachers. I had Spanish classes and enjoyed them a lot. It's fun to learn, and the materials are of great quality. I highly recommend anyone who would like to start learning Spanish from 0.

Overall

Overall, it has been a good experience with Lingoda. I have taken over 25 private classes, and almost all of the teachers have been good instructors. Prompt with feedback after the class; the material is on point and keeps the conversation focused. The one improvement needed is to allow me to select from a smaller group of teachers who better match my learning style. I have submitted a request, but was told all our teachers are qualified, which may be true, but not all of them match me the best. I would recommend the product.

The instructors are great and the live…

The instructors are great and the live experiences talking are really helpful. Sometimes the technology is challenging in trying to hear the instructors and other talking. Sometime it is really challenging to find a class among many options that fits with my schedule.

The Sprint was what attracted me to…

The Sprint was what attracted me to Lingoda but it is ridiculously hard for an adult to be able to make class every day. Life gets in the way. Lingoda is good but I I wouldn't do the Sprint again.

So they give a subscription mode after…

So you get a subscription model after you have finished your sprint, but you must complete all the classes that you have paid in your new subscription before the month ends, if not, you will have to pay again another month of subscription with new classes being added. If you cancel your subscription, you have to finish the classes that you payed before the month ends, if not, you can't get them back or take them.
Classes, teachers and material are fine, as expected, but this subscription modality feels like a scam.

As stated in the Sprint rules, after completing the Sprint, every participant agrees to our rollover subscription that allow a seamless continuation of the learning journey.

This information can be reviewed in the Sprint rules and within the Terms and Conditions.

It is important to mention that this rollover subscription can be cancelled at any moment through the account within the second month of the Sprint, without having any negative impact on the Sprint results or Cashback eligibility.

The rollover subscription is equal and works just as our regular Flex Subscription.

All plans are month-to-month subscriptions and renew every 28 days, providing the corresponding amount of classes upon each renewal.

Class credits have a validity of one year from the moment they are purchased and will roll over into the following month, allowing them to be used as long as the subscription remains active.

Please note, however, that attending classes without an ongoing subscription is not possible. To help manage your learning pace, students with many unused credits may also downgrade their subscription to a smaller class package.

If the subscription is cancelled, the account will remain active until the original renewal date, and any unused class credits will remain saved on the account, and can be accessed at a later stage by activating a new subscription.

Students have full flexibility to change, pause, or cancel their subscription at any time through their account, giving them control over how the subscription fits their learning needs.

Also, we’re glad to hear that you found the teachers, classes, and materials satisfactory. At the same time, we understand that some students may find the subscription structure restrictive.
