I wanted to learn Arabic for both personal and professional reasons to connect with my family and expand the services that I can offer through my business. I tried tutors and classes before but this is the only program that’s actually helped me retain and learn the information. It makes it all so clear to understand.

Lingua Verna Levantine Arabic Foundations has been a wonderful way to a useful knowledge of this variety of spoken Arabic. The video lectures are clear and concise and the weekly conversation groups, under the direction of skilled native instructors, are both motivational and enjoyable. The workload is manageable for those who, like me, are engaged in full-time employment. I strongly recommend this course to anyone who hopes to use Levantine Arabic for personal or professional purposes. Thank you!

I cannot recommend Lingua Verna enough! My experience with them has been nothing short of transformative. Within 3 weeks I was reading, writing, and speaking in complete sentences. The curriculum is designed for fluency and accuracy, and you will have amazing instructors to guide you every step of the way, from conversation group lessons where you will be speaking with others on your same level to weekly lectures. If you need help and have questions, the instructors get back to you right away and are always there to help you. They are just as invested in you as their student as you are in their program.

As someone whose only exposure to this language was some of the basics in a college class I took over 15 years ago, I can say this program is truly beginner-friendly. Actually diving into learning Arabic has been a goal of mine ever since that college class, and I just hadn't found the right opportunity. I came across this class when someone a friend of mine follows on Instagram mentioned it in an reel. I've stuck with it because I really feel myself gaining an understanding of the structure and the beauty of the language. My instructor, Saeed, and the core groups of students I learn with weekly are also a huge draw. We practice and we have fun! Anyone who's interested in learning a new and beautiful language would benefit from this program. I have nothing but great things to say!

After struggling to learn Arabic for years, I can honestly say that Lingua Verna has been a game-changer. I tried four different instructors before discovering this program and made very little progress—I believed Arabic was just too hard to learn. Lingua Verna completely changed that.

By starting with the alphabet and building a strong foundation, the program makes Arabic feel achievable from day one. The weekly videos, conversation classes, and review exercises are exceptionally well-structured, and there is also an option for private sessions. I especially love being exposed to the different Levantine dialects while still having the freedom to focus on the one that best matches my interests. I highly recommend Lingua Verna to anyone who is serious about finally learning Arabic.

This Arabic course from Lingua Verna is truly fantastic. Learning from books isn't doable for me, but these lessons are paced step-by-step, and you have the opportunity to practice twice a week with incredibly friendly teachers. Even if you're short on time, this course will get you far. Arabic is a beautiful and important language and with this course i will be able to talk with my in-laws.

I come from an Arabic background but have struggled finding a good tool to get me comfortable speaking the language. This course has challenged me and has made me more confident in my ability to speak Arabic with my relatives. Highly recommend.

An amazing program with even better teachers! Go at your own pace while being held accountable for your learning goals! Consistent review of vocab, focus on speaking (my main struggle) and even emphasis on regional dialects. Can't recommend enough.

It was so great to find a structured class for Levantine Arabic. Having been raised in a Lebanese family and having visited Lebanon yearly since forever, it was about time I learned to speak the dialect. The instructors are friendly and knowledgeable and the two scheduled classes each week definitely help keep me on track. When I started Level 1, I wondered how I would ever manage to learn. I'm now in Level 2 and, looking back, I'm glad I believed the instructors when they said to trust the process. It's working! I plan to continue through to the end!

My experience with Lingua Verna has been awesome. I initially enrolled in the Beginner Arabic course and am now continuing on to Level 2. Learning Arabic is important to me, it’s my native language, and relearning it has helped me stay connected to my roots.

I’ve really enjoyed the hybrid learning model; the classes and videos are easy to follow, and the review exercises are great for reinforcing what you’ve just learned. The weekly conversation groups have been especially valuable, giving me the opportunity to practice in real time and build the confidence to speak Arabic slowly in my day-to-day life. I would highly recommend these courses to anyone looking to learn the language or reconnect with their roots. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my experience and plan to continue progressing through the program.

Great instructors, well edited videos

I have been studying Arabic with Lingua Verna for several months now. I am impressed with the structure and effectiveness of the courses. They combine studying material online on your own time with live participation in weekly broadcasts by teachers, which give you the opportunity to ask questions and interact with other students, as well as weekly conversation and practice sessions. The courses are expertly designed to help you progress step by step. Arabic can be difficult for Westerners, but Lingua Verna makes learning it accessible. Before you know it, using the tools provided, you start recognizing patterns and it becomes easier. What a great opportunity to learn this beautiful language!

Each of the instructors are really helpful, and I find the overall method of teaching incredible. I've tried to learn how to read Arabic several times on my own and wasn't able to get it until this course. I think there's a great balance of grammar and conversation, and the review materials are excellent.

I have worked my way up to Level 4 of the Lingua verna program and love it!! So many aspects and nuances clicking into place that have confused me for years. This is first time I feel that i am actually learning how to be a fluent, native speaker!!

This programme is an introductory programme for spoken Levantine Arabic. As I had already unsuccessfully tried a couple of other methods to learn Fusha Arabic I was rather skeptic about Lingua Verna"s claim to get their students speaking in a short amount of time.
Now, a couple of months later, I only regret that I did not join this programme sooner. I could have spared myself so much trouble and self doubt.

Lingua verna is a small group of native teachers who are not only friendly and funny but also polyglots and well aware of the science behind language learning.

The material you get is extensive and incredibly well produced. You could perfectly well study on your own with all the videos and exercises you are given.

Part of learning a new language is to overcome the stress and embarrassment when you are urged to speak.
Going from passive language aquisition to actual output, is, where many students get stuck.
Lingua Verna assigns you to a weekly practice group where you can overcome your shyness and practice your conversation skills in a safe and warm surrounding.

DL;DR:
Lingua verna covers all the bases, they get you talking in very short time and, for what you get, the price is really a steal.

Learning Arabic with these guys has been a blast, and surprisingly, quite a breeze! The way they structure lessons makes it all very easy to learn and memorise, even all the new vocab every week feels natural. I started learning arabic because of my boyfriend, now I'm just enjoying the act of learning this beautiful language! Absolutely recommend.

They provide helpful videos, pdfs, cue cards, and most importantly, zoom calls.

I have been learning Levantine Arabic with this school for a couple of months now and it has been a good experience overall. The program curriculum consists of meetings twice a week: one instruction lesson on Sunday and another lesson during the week in which you apply the concepts learned during the week. This format is great if you're a somewhat independent learner since you will need to put in considerable review time outside of class to keep learning. All teachers are native speakers and are receptive to questions from students. I particularly enjoyed my experience in the conversation groups thus far.

I can't say enough good things about Lingua Verna for Levantine Arabic. I've tried for years to learn Levantine Arabic to preserve my heritage - ! tried private tutors in person and on apps like Preply and iTalki, books, a university course, and the list goes on. Nothing really stuck, because Arabic is such a unique and challenging language full of dialects. What I really enjoy about this program is that it is intuitive - pedagogically it just works! Each lesson builds on the last in ways that are easy to understand and digest, and highly relevant to the form of Arabic I want to learn and would find most practical (spoken Lebanese Arabic with an understanding of other Levantine forms). The weekly classes keep me motivated and dedicated to my learning goals, and are run by kind, knowledgeable and generous tutors, and also are great moments to catch up with peers going through the same challenges as well. I've already recommended this series to my friends and family in the diaspora, but it would also be good for spouses/partners of Arabic speakers.
I'm currently half way through the second series and I'm excited to keep going to the end of the fourth series.

I found out about lingua verna online. After several failed attempts to learn MSA online, I decided to give it a try. I am impressed, the eleven weeks of level 1 were smooth and felt pretty easy. The modules are well built and balanced to ensure participants can speak and process the lesson. The modules, pdfs, review exercises are useful and coherent.

The Lingua Verna team is friendly and reactive. They manage to create a great mindset among participants that also genuinely support one another . Kudos to our teacher Firass, who keeps us motivated and encourage us. He also speaks french - an added value as a french speaker in case i am missing something in english.

Give it a try if you have been trying to learn arabic for a while. I am now mid-level 2, the rythm is intense but it is still working!
