Extremely Disappointing Experience — Thousands of Dollars and Time Wasted

My experience with Links Data was extremely disappointing.
From the beginning, they seemed completely uninterested in understanding what I actually needed once I made it clear that I did not need their cloud services. Instead of focusing on the forensic work I hired them to perform, they repeatedly pushed their cloud services even though they were unnecessary for my situation.
The technician assigned to the work was, in my experience, simply not competent. He did not appear to know what he was doing, and the final product reflected that.
After spending thousands of dollars, I provided the resulting information to my lawyer. I was subsequently told that the information was completely useless for our purposes and that the work had to be redone.
Another major issue was their insistence on becoming the custodian of the data. That was not the service I needed or requested. I needed competent forensic work and usable information—not an unnecessary arrangement in which Links Data would maintain custody of my data and continue providing services I did not need.
The result was thousands of dollars wasted, significant time lost, additional legal expenses, and resources spent correcting work that should have been done properly the first time.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Links Data. If you are considering using them for forensic work, I strongly recommend being extremely specific about the scope of work, questioning any additional services they try to add, and having your attorney confirm in advance exactly what must be produced before spending thousands of dollars.
