Pure scam based on marketing value

So far, this is a scam. I took the exam WITHOUT preparation and got 55%. After intensive preparation, I took it again. With 15 minutes left, I had re-checked 15 out of 17 questions. One was unresolved and one was partially complete. The tasks were pretty easy, yet I only got 62% (66% needed).

They offered me a free retake or a $75 manual rescore, stating: "Please complete payment ASAP for the rescoring fee at [link]." I paid it, but there has been no reaction at all for six days. When I checked the support ticket, it became obvious that their system is not syncing with their emails, so I have to duplicate my messages. This is the worst experience for someone like me who holds several Oracle and Confluent certifications. I will update this post, as I’m 100% sure the story doesn't end here.

Don't take this exam they just care about the money and nothing works as expected

Their infrastructure for exams works really bad it looks like a scam because you can never take their exams without problems. PSI makes you waste time as much as possible during the exam. From the reviews I read I think this was not isolated as their environment never works properly.
And when you open a support ticket to LF to mention all these issues they don't reply.

Interesting but too theoretical

LFS101 : The subjects are interesting, but the courses are very theoretical, there is almost no practice at all, so you can't learn effectively or remember anything this way.

It's mostly text, with very limited exercises, like Multiple Choice Questions and *very rarely* a small lab assignment where you can only type a text that has already been planned in advance, so you can't really play around and actually learn.

Don't take their exams

Don't take their exams

This company wasted my time twice.

Fact is: We spend a lot of time preparing for the exam.. and all the efforts goes to dustbin when the exam infrastructure is super bad or worst.

I wrote CKS exam twice with PSI and had technical issues during my two attempts. First attempt, there was so much lag with the stupid infrastructure; 2nd time, it was a copy paste issue from questions/firefox to terminal and also VIM configuration issue.

I was forced by my company to sign up…

I was forced by my company to sign up for a CKA exam for $395, which I never ended up attempting. I paid this amount out of my personal account. I requested a refund of the unused exam credit within the 12 month period to take the test and the Linux Foundation refused. It is unethical to take money from a student for an exam that was never attempted (and any coursework provided, if any, was also not used).

NOT RECOMMENDED! Do not take their exams.

NOT RECOMMENDED!! worst exam experience ever!

You have to take the exam in their virtual environment, so this means you must use their s****y built-in linux browser, terminal and other applications, that are not even working properly.
During the exam, my session became frozen multiple times and I lost so many valuable minutes...

Their whole ecosystem is just not supportive and they are only focusing on their profit.

Verry bad work environment

Verry bad exam environment, you need to show them your desk and comletely clean it before you can start, the proctor disconnected during this process twice so I had to do it 3 times took me 40 minutes. Then I was finaly able to start the exam and the VM I had to work in crashed 3 times. causing the exam to be almost impossible within 2 hours. the live chat help just copy/pasted the same message that I could contact some support person(why do you have a chat if that person just redirects you) which I did not have the time for.

Very bad service

Very bad service, you pay for the certification exam, then because of technical issues on their side you cannot launch it. You contact their support and no one engage to help you. It is being weeks of study and now I cannot get rid of it, need to continue studying until to not lose the knowledge until their poor service decides to get in touch. I though this was a serious and professional certification instituition.

hard test!

hard test,
the software is not very stable on the testcenter but the tasks are good.
You need to be fast, so you have to know linux very well. For me was really hard, but i have learned the most after the examen review.
if you want to show your skills on Linux, i recommend it.

thank you
